Witch Hat Atelier: A Top Contender for Anime of the Year 2026

A fantasy world where anyone could do magic if they only knew the trick sounds hopeful, until you realize the people in charge would rather erase your memory than let that truth spread. We’re back on The Zone Podcast with a Witch Hat Atelier review, digging into why the show feels like a cozy Studio Ghibli style fairy tale on the surface while quietly building something darker underneath.
We break down the core hook of the series: magic isn’t “born inside you” but drawn into existence through precise runes and special ink. That craft based system makes every spell feel earned and every mistake terrifying, especially after Coco accidentally casts a forbidden spell that crystallizes her mother and their home. From there, we talk through the Great Hall of Witches, the Day of the Pact, and the Brimmed Caps who reject the rules and move in the shadows. If you like anime that treats knowledge itself as power, this conversation is for you.
Then we get into the character debates. Is Qifrey a patient mentor or a dangerously obsessed wildcard? We read the clues, argue about his vibe, and unpack how revenge and trauma shape his choices. We also run through Coco’s dynamic with her fellow apprentices, why Agott starts as a rival, and the big unanswered question that keeps nagging us: what makes Coco so important that the Brimmed Caps keep circling her? We cap it off with our ratings, standout moments, and what we need from season two to stick the landing.
If you enjoyed the breakdown, subscribe for more anime reviews, share this with a friend who loves fantasy anime, and leave a rating or review with your take: is Witch Hat Atelier a true anime of the year contender?

Welcome Back And The Pick
SPEAKER_01What up, gang? The Zone Podcast is back at it again with another review. Today's topic is Which Hat a Tell Yare? And joining me today, we got Professor Tuck and Hero Pin Dragon. Let's go ahead and zone in on it. So, which hat a tell year or WHA? It's funny because like I was thinking like the moment I saw that, and I saw like the first two or three episodes, I was like thinking, this is like magic my hero acid game, isn't it? I can kind of see why it's a contender for anime of the year, but on like I'm not saying that just yet. It's it's nice, but I'm not saying that just yet. But hear me out. So,
Magic By Runes And Hidden Laws
SPEAKER_01this anime is set in a picture of fantasy world, more specifically in the Zoza Peninsula, where magic can be performed by drawing magical runes with a special ink. Its use was a common knowledge with until a series of countless crises, wars, and uh excuse me, uh catastrophies led to the day of the pact when the Great Hall of Witches was established. From then on, only witches authorized by the Great Hall are allowed to perform magic or know how to use it, and their knowledge is kept a secret from the rest of the population called the unknowing or Mongols. Uh, any unknowing who discovers the truth or witches who break their rules have their memories about magic erased. Kind of like on some men in black, or you know how they kind of erase their rules. And certain magical practices are also forbidden even amongst them due to the possible dangers it can cause, such as casting magic or drawing magical rooms directly on the human body, except for magic that erases memories only allowed to protect their secrets. The witches from the Great Hall have a pointed hat with no brims as a sign of loyalty towards their traditions and rules, while there's also a group of rogue witches who reject the rules of the Day of the Pact, known as the brimmed caps, who act in secret, covering their faces with brimmed hats and using forbidden magic.
Brimmed Caps And The Day Of Pact
SPEAKER_01We have our main character, Coco, kind daydreaming daughter of a dressmaker aspiring to become a witch, despite being told that only innate magic user can't practice and use a witch. So she pretty much getting the Izuka Midoriya treatment right off the bat. One day, she meets a witch named uh Keefri, and after he she witnesses how he uses magic, uh Coco realized, well, hold on, like there was like a little bit more to it. He actually she actually ran into this other brim cap that's like kind of inspired her to get into Magly Book. Then eventually uh she met Keefri, and after she witnesses how he uses magic, Coco realized that a book she previously bought from a mass, which, like I just said, was actually a book about magic, which she uses to accidentally cast a spell that encases her mother and the house and crystals. So as only Coco has a vague memory of which magic spell she cast, which is the only clue that they have to restore her mother and Keith, is tracking the brim cat behind the incident for its own agenda. He takes on Coco as his apprentice. She then starts learning magic under him on Longside. Three other female witches apprentices. Uh, we got Agatha, uh Texia, and Richie. I'm sorry, why is I apologize if I mispronounce names. And supervised by Orobio, uh another adult witch who is Keith Free's childhood friend. So as Coco gets used to her new environment and develops her magic skills, the brim caps' interest in her grows as they hope to that she will help them revive the free use of magic.
Coco’s Spell And Becoming An Apprentice
SPEAKER_01Alright, stop right there. Bizarders, uh, let's start with Tuck. How you feeling about this anime?
SPEAKER_02Um,
Tuck’s Take On Whimsy Turning Dark
SPEAKER_02off top of the head, let me just say, I thought it was a studio Ghibli, like a fairy tale.
SPEAKER_01It does give that vibe with the animation and whatnot, especially with the whimsy of it. But yeah, like I feel uh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but bug films, like it was dope. Um, it's kind of confusing to me because the beginning was very like nostalgic. I'm starting thinking about magic, like it's making magic fun, and then it takes a dark turn, and then I'm like, mmm, so many secrets, so many things that I want to figure out and know. Because I honestly I'm a little confused about the master. Is he good? Is he bad? Is he in between? It's it's giving me the kind of vibes that I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Well, you're in luck because I have something that might give me some enlightenment on him, please.
SPEAKER_02And I I like that there isn't really a power scaling. Um if you can draw good, you use golden. And like, I wouldn't be able to do none of this. If you know geometry, you'd be good to go in this world because it's very physical craft, and drawing a perfect circle is so fucking hard. And then you gotta do the correct symbols and you gotta memorize it to be able to do it underneath a rope. Whew.
SPEAKER_01Imagine doing that under pressure.
SPEAKER_02Boy, Harry Potter couldn't do that. Hey, yeah, it's like the stuff that's hidden from society. It's like they just think, oh, you a witch, you're supposed to be able to do this and do that, you're supposed to make stuff easier, and but they don't know how much work it takes just to be a witch. Literally anybody can be a witch. And then the reason behind the stuff, knowing that everybody can be a witch, and then the way they treat outsiders, so to speak, like Coco, it just doesn't make sense to me.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's like that elitist tribalism that's not that very rare in fictional words to where it's almost like, oh, they've got me some sort of class, and where I'm like, oh, you're not like us, so like we're gonna have to uh be condescending and say, like, you're beneath us and shit. It's almost like in a way, that's just their way of making us uh having to uh have Toko be more endearing. It's like think about it with Naruto to where we know that he's the poor Hokage son, but he can't be living all ghetto fabulous right off the bat. We gotta have something to where he's gonna be more endearing to us in the long run. So let's put him in second aid and only have him uh living off quarters and shit.
SPEAKER_02And that's my problem with Naruto too, because they should have had my boy living in lavish. After after the fourth O'Kage saved everybody, oh, they would have all been dead. And now they want to treat him like he ain't shit. And that's how they was treating Coco. They treating Coco like Coco ain't shit. Everybody like, oh, you the outsider, everybody heard about. I'm like, bruh, what the fuck? And being a being a regular human actually give her more of a. Like everybody. Like, yeah, we heard about the outside. I'm like, damn, I just got here today. When did y'all hear? The master ain't even came back. How the hell you heard?
SPEAKER_01Hey, bro, in this magical world, word travel fast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, secret. Word travel fast. They can't keep nothing nothing else secret. But um, I like a guy. A guy, I think that's how you say.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I like I like a guy. She she really with the blue hair.
Craft Based Magic And Elitism
SPEAKER_01I think that was Tim T. No, no, alright, though. Alright, though.
SPEAKER_02I just I like her voice. Whoever was rejecting her, like it's so.
SPEAKER_01See, that's why I'm saying, like, it was giving me Harry Carter vibe because it was like kind of like that British accent, like that kind of tone. You know, like um, yeah. Oh, it was like more like French. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can do that. It's supposed to be French, I think. Yeah, I can weed that a little bit better, but like it was like something about like that's definitely not an American accent, that's for sure. That's definitely not American.
SPEAKER_02I wonder if it's a French made anime.
SPEAKER_01Maybe uh I know it's from people that normally we don't normally hear about, so let me that's a good question. Let me look into that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because Atelier, I think that's French.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Atelier is definitely French. Um let me see.
SPEAKER_02Uh let's see if we didn't. And the the Knights Morales are terrifying, by the way.
SPEAKER_01Okay, uh the studio is bug film. So, yeah, like I said, uh studio that no one probably heard of. Um let me see what they did. Oh shit. Okay. The only other thing they did was Zom 100. You know, that one uh zombie anime where that dude was like, oh, I'm so glad I don't have to go to work.
SPEAKER_02I heard of it, but I can't remember. It must have came out a long time ago.
SPEAKER_01No, like Zom 100 was literally 2023.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, nah, I didn't see it then. I don't remember the name though, for some reason.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it was pretty popular back then, but like we're gonna review anyways. Like, we didn't get around to review it yet, but we can in October.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, the um the nice marijuana. What's his name from the second Harry Potter from Chamber of the Secrets? Um, anyway, him, the one that made it magical me. Uh can't remember his name. But he just, you know, a background character, whatever. Damn. You don't see him till he popped back up in the books with no memory. But nevertheless.
SPEAKER_01Oh uh um I I know he's talking about um the fraud dude, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, um dang, his his name is escaping me, but I know exactly what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02Um Magical Me was a trash book, too, by the way. So the reason I bet I'm bringing him up is because like he his favorite spell or his most uh adequate spell that he can do is memory charms, and that's what the National Ralphs do. All they want to do is take people's memory. They're about to take memories several times without even asking questions, bro. They're just about to just take memories.
SPEAKER_01I want to say his name Gilderoy for some reason though. I'm gonna say Gilderoy.
SPEAKER_02Gilderoy Lockhart. Yeah, yeah, the Gilderoy Lockhart. Yeah, that was gonna bother me too fine and figured out. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, they just want to take people's memories, bro. Don't ask no questions, don't do nothing, just taking people's memories. And the setups to know the background behind Coco, the Knight's Morales, and the um the what was the Brim caps, like it just ooh, it's just making me mad. So first few episodes, I was upset.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel that.
SPEAKER_02And I'm trying to give a feel for the master too. Like, it's it's very mysterious. There's a lot of different ways that they can go about it for the season uh, too, and it's a lot of different setups and a lot of different characters. We actually got a lot of character development throughout the whole season, and we got a lot of backstory or beginning of backstories to see why characters act the way that they do, which is hard to do in a 13-episode anime. But overall, it was lighthearted, it was also dark, it was a little twisted, and we even got to see the background and find out about one of the characters in the last two episodes and get to know them, and then boom, something happens. So it it make it really pull on your heart screens when it comes to that, and I appreciate the power of friendship too.
SPEAKER_01But I mean that's crazy because a lot of people are like, oh my god, if we get one more anime where the power of friendship prevails, like I mean, I won't say nothing wrong with that on its own, but okay, yeah, like I can kind of understand the sentiment of it gets a little tired out sometimes.
SPEAKER_02Right. I understand that too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sometimes I want people to just kill people, just Game of Thrones style, just kill everybody, or at the very least, handle their shit without needing somebody uh to pretty much like motivate you to do what you need to do. Like, be like Zenithu from Demon Square to where you know, like he pulled up on that motherfucker, um, ready to lock in or whatnot. I'm like, man, you don't need nobody to uh tell them what you need to do. Hang on, let my boy fall asleep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's always yeah, yeah. I'll knock him, I'll be knocking him out every time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Now uh hold on.
Hero’s Early Read On Keefrey
SPEAKER_01Hero, to my understanding, I know you I kinda had you on at the last minute, but based on what you've seen, how you feeling about this anime?
SPEAKER_04Uh so far, I'm only two episodes in, but um, it it looked like it'll be pretty interesting to watch the rest of it. And I gotta say, like um, as far as like the animation and the visuals go, um, pretty much like what Todd said earlier, it definitely gives those Studio Ghibli vibes, and I really like that. And there's also the visuals of those classic, it's that classic, uh, you know, magic witch typical like art that I also like. I I like how they do that too. Um and even the concept was also really nice because like it takes it definitely takes a lot of skill to do what they have to do to, you know, draw try to draw perfect circle shapes. And then, you know, even when you're battling, yeah, I'd imagine under pressure, that's that's a lot to handle. Uh so I I found that interesting. I haven't seen a whole lot of something like that in like video games anime. Usually it's a typical, usually it's typically like when you have magic involved, typically people have magic energy inside their bodies already, and they can just internally use it. But it's like with this anime in a sense, it's like it's basically external. It's like how you just go ways of how you handle and draw it. So I find that system pretty interesting. And I gotta say, the Master 2, I I also thought the same thing on uh you know what Tug said, uh about being, you know, kind of like a hero or villain in a sense. And if you want my take, then this is just I mean, I could be completely wrong. I mean, who knows? But while I don't think he would be like a villain per se, I feel like he's also a type of guy to where if he does have to do something, even if he might regret it later on, he probably will do it. He gives me those vibes a little bit because the the little detail that I noticed was what was it on the first episode? Um when he rescues Coco from being petrified by those crystals, I think, or whatever, uh, from that house. When when he told her, like in this little scene right here, this little dialogue, when he told her that he has to erase her memory, or even before that, he was like, it's unfortunate, but uh that's just how it is. Like it's I might be overthinking it, but it's just the way he casually almost brushes it aside. Like, I think this I think he genuinely did care, but it's just the way he almost brushes it off, if that makes sense. It's like, oh well, we gotta reach her memory, that's it. But because of her special case with the picture book and whatnot, and from what I'm seeing with the connection to those uh those other guys he's looking for, because obviously he has a connection to them. Uh that's the main reason. Probably wants to teach Coco and all that, you know, to get to them. And this also might be over-analytical on my part, but you know, Q3's appearance, like the way his glasses are and whatnot. Um, like, I don't know. I I've seen characters with, you know, that wear like a monocle and all that before, but it's like with him, it's kind of a weird case. Like he he has that one clear, you know, glass in his eye where he can obviously see out of, and then there's that one shaded one, and it makes me think because he was up.
SPEAKER_01Oh hero, you have no idea how close you are to the truth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that because I'm that one thing, uh and and then he in the last episode though, he got he like got one of them cracked or something.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because it's it's like the way it's covering that the dark one and his hair over his eyes. And I only think this too because we've seen characters in like different anime that'll have a similar design or you know, similar trope in a sense, where they either have their hair kind of covering one eye to hide something, and it's like I think that's the case with him. I feel like it's with that, and it leads to a connection to where those people like maybe something traumatic happened with them, uh with those brimtap people. So that's my prediction already from episode one and two. And as far as Coco, um, and the other characters, I don't I don't have too much yet, but it'll be interesting to see how she, you know, tries to grow with the other characters or get along. And uh, you know, see how she uses her, you know, magical abilities. It was also pretty impressive on how she, you know, initially uh used magic for the first time. Oh yeah. But uh overall, that that pretty much is my impression, and I I definitely keeping an eye on uh Kierfrey because yeah, he he has a lot of mystery, like a lot of error about him. Like he's he definitely has a lot of trauma hidden or just something something's hidden, basically.
unknownOh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, cut this out.
SPEAKER_02Like, I need to know too, because I need to know, like, what's up? Is he he a he on some like Gojo type shit? Where like he just removed the glasses and some shit happened, or like well, I'll explain.
Coco’s Potential And Corruption Risk
SPEAKER_01Well, first, let's just get through this list of characters, and trust me, he's like the second one. Now, Coco, as we know, bright girl, blonde is green hair, and she's like optimistic and whatnot. She's taken in by Keefree instead of having her memory erased, allowing to learn magic and whatnot. While initially she's clumsy and naive, she's also enthusiastic about learning all she can about magic with her backgrounds and outside and all that shit. So, right now, it feels like she's being set up to be one of those characters where you can be, you have the potential to be great, but it's kind of like Jedi and Sith, where you can you have the potential to be great, but there's gonna be people that's gonna be coming after you, uh having interests like they already do on the um brim caps, and they're gonna try to corrupt her into doing something that she's probably gonna regret to a point where, oh, like they're gonna try to convert her to be a brim cap. But the thing is, if there's something special about this girl in particular while you're trying to get her into um doing all this forbidden magic, or it just is it just a matter of, oh, I just happened to come across her and she seemed like she could have potential to join us. So we just spent planning seeds and um gassing her up to be the witch that we need her to be. That's pretty much my take on Coco. Let me answer the question y'all been waiting
Keefrey’s Curse And Revenge Drive
SPEAKER_01for. Keith.
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_01Keith, he's actually a pretty good guy. He's actually for the most part, well, I won't say too much because hey, it ain't like I dove into the manga too heavily. But Keith, he really does mean well being a patient and caring mentor to Coco and the other girls. But here's his thing.
SPEAKER_02Even though he wait, wait, wait, wait, before you tell me, I need to know this motherfucker he likes Coco so much, or he wanna use Coco so much, he about to box his own people, bro. First episode, he about to box he about to box his own people several times. He's like, bro, and then to the point where he's he wiped the memory of that other shit. Like, bro, what the fuck, bro?
SPEAKER_01Okay, this off. He's searching for the brimmed cap because he has a personal grudge. Against them ever since his childhood, where they used him in a ritual that made him a host of a sliverwood tree, which took away his right eye, which explains why he had the monocle on shit, and the memory of his former life. So he don't remember shit, um, probably past the point of becoming a mentor. So he probably has a whole backstory that he don't even remember. And we're probably gonna figure that out as we get later down the line.
SPEAKER_02So how would he even know that he won't be a mentor or that he was a witch?
SPEAKER_01Wait, what do you mean?
SPEAKER_02You say he probably don't remember nothing past becoming a mentor.
SPEAKER_01Oh like I just I don't really know how far back it was, but all I know is that um the Brim caps kind of fucked up his memory, so he at the very least he doesn't remember his childhood.
SPEAKER_02That's so fucked up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And as a result of their attempts to prevent him from tracking his tormentors, he distanced himself from the Great Hall and only returning if he absolutely needs to. So if anything, he's just full of revenge. Like he's just really trying to get the Brim Cav to lift this curse off him and ship. And I want to say he's kind of like a little feral like Gojo to where like he just got like a little crazy side to him. So I'm like thinking he's not a bad guy, but he's just a little crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, because every time you come across a Brim Cap, he gets his ass Molly Wap.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, yeah. I had that feeling too, because I was like, yeah, I because that was part of me I was like, I think he genuinely cares, but it's like on the other hand, you know, it'll probably get really intense or crazy if that was something the moment uh those people, you know, brim hats were involved.
SPEAKER_01Alright.
Rivalry Bonds And Brim Cap Goals
SPEAKER_01Let's go ahead and talk about Tusk Girl Agar. So I'm gonna be honest with you. I kind of knew that she was gonna have that rival vibe going on with Coco. But crazy enough, I was trying to think, I wonder if she's gonna be like the Draco Malford to Coco's Harry Potter, where it's like, oh, you don't belong here, and I'm gonna do everything it takes for you to um be convinced that you don't belong here. Like she was really trying to push her out of there to try to uh make her leave. But Coco was like, no, I wanna stay. I'm like, I'm gonna help out and shit. But Agi eventually is like, you know what? I guess, I guess you can stick around. But you know, eventually Agi becomes um close to Coco and whatnot, begins to treat her like an equal. So I want to say it's more like Deku and Baku Go in a way. Like not like straight-up bullying, but more like you're an outsider, you're the one who caused that forbidden spell. Like, I just don't think you should um be here, but eventually um she warmed up to Coco, so that's all good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, honestly, I can in a way I can see how that's a little valid, especially with like I guess as part of their system or the kind of culture they grew up with, that kind of thing. So part of me can see her perspective. And then on the other hand, I'm also like, well, even though Coco's still pretty much just a kid, I I'm I'm pretty sure at that point she realizes the consequence of her actions. Like, I'm pretty sure she knows how dire that situation is. So even more so to try her best, you know, more feel to the fire.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's all it is. Like, and also keep in mind, she's the one character where it's like she's the most serious about her studies. Like, she even tried to be an apprentice um one time, but there were some rumors about her plagiarizing her trial that um stopped her, like kind of stunting her progression. But she's like the type of girl where she tries the hardest to become a witch and do all this. And Coco, you know, kind of being a little frivolous about it, is almost like that frivolousness, that childishness of Coco just kind of pissed off Agat to a degree, but you know, like I said, she just eventually become cool with her. Now, uh Tetia, I don't got a whole lot to say about her. You know, she's like the bubbly, upbeat girl, you know, always happy, whatnot. Uh, wants to make her magic. Um, she wants her magic to make others happy, even though uh she wants to make useful spells that she can be remembered for. But yeah, like she just kind of there. She's kind of there. Now, Reche, I like Reche because she's like this distant girl who's like, oh, I only want to do the magic that I want to do. I only like drawing my original magic. Like, I don't want to um keep doing spells that's like uh tired out, and I just gotta keep using these. So I kind of get her because like I gotta do me type uh mentality. So I kind of just fuck with that. Um, was it something else? No, that's pretty much it. Like, I just I just kinda like her personality, where it's like, I just understand that from her perspective. Uh not a whole lot to say about O'Roneyo, uh, other than you know, he's just the other guy at the uh Atelier. Uh and the only, well, there is others, like, there were other brim caps, but the only one that we really need to keep our eye on is uh Igwin, the one uh brim cap who's possibly the leader, and uh he was the one that approached Toko to give the give her the spell book and ultimately became responsible for everything that's happening. But uh we don't really know uh what her plans, what their plans are for her, but we all we know for sure is that they do have a plan for her. Yeah, there are like the others that showed up, but for the most part seemed like the witches were doing like some hero work in a way, and they kind of brushed with the brim caps and the monsters, and you know, Coco had her trials. But not gonna lie, outside of that, I don't really have much to say about the characters themselves, but I do have some additional notes um that I want to speak on. But before I get into that, uh Tuck, you got anything you want to add on to all that.
SPEAKER_02I do got something I want to add. I don't I need to know. So he ain't evil?
SPEAKER_01No. I mean, a little crazy, a little tweaking. He kind of tweaking every now and then, you know, like he might have a dark side, but evil, uh, I I can't say that. I mean, the jury's still out on that. Like, once again, I don't know the story like that, but right now I'm just thinking he probably just have a dark side that no, not a whole lot of people know about. And it just looks like he just looks shady. That's the thing. Cause I mean, he looked now, he looked like Dumbledore a little bit, and he talked with so much passion about magic, like, I mean, let's keep in mind Dumbledore also has skeletons in his closet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know. Yeah, shout out to Rita Skeeter. Like, so the Brown Caps. Why I wanna know why the fuck do they want Coco so bad? Like, why they going through all the women just for cocoa like do she got like blood, good blood or something? I don't know. Like, like on True Blood, they wanted um what's the name? Suki. Because uh how good her blood is, she's like a fairy or some shit.
SPEAKER_01That's the thing, is like it could be something like that, but we just don't know what exactly it is. It gotta be something. It's like I mean, I know Europe, we're gonna be talking about in Victoria, but it's like you know, with these protagonists, we're like, oh man, like they just got that uh special sauce. Like, whatever juice you want, I'm gonna need that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I I do like the pacing, um, this visual storytelling. It's it's easily a nine out of ten. It's so good. So, like, when you when you explore a story like this, like you you making it a fairy tale, but you're going through trauma, like the levels of control in society, I'm really excited and interested in season two. And the way that they ended on the cliffhanger made me so mad.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you're like thinking, okay, well, we did well enough to where I'm like, yeah, we can afford to do this little cliffhanger here. I mean, we're gonna be coming back next year, we'll be back.
SPEAKER_02So I mean even if you delve into like he a little bit of the dark side, like even if he does like for reading magic or something like that, because he just, you know, going crazy. Coco's so innocent, like she's gonna say something innocent and the power of your students gonna bring you back. So I don't think I'm concerned with him doing nothing other than being weak. The way he keeps getting his ass whooped.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, you think he's invincible.
SPEAKER_02He really downplayed the characters with white hair. Every character with white hair is dope except him.
SPEAKER_01Now imagine that dragon meme where you have like the car, she can go through, and then there's a little like, oh yeah, Steve reject being a blue ball.
SPEAKER_02Even characters with black hair that turn white, like um Pokey Ghoul.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Ken Carnegie.
SPEAKER_02Like dope. After Jason was fuzzing him up, dope.
SPEAKER_01Turn to a savage, seven of the last season, but we can't hey if we're gonna be talking about white hair characters. Hey, we can't gloss over a Q.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's a fact. See, you see how even my kids I did better than him. He's just ruining it for white haired characters, so well, it's French, I guess.
Side Tangents World Cup And UK Food
SPEAKER_02It's the World Cup, you know, USA's lost, so you know.
SPEAKER_04Crossfire.
SPEAKER_02But we didn't lose to the French.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, all right.
SPEAKER_02I can't believe Mexico lost too. It was a sad day, man.
SPEAKER_01Who was that one day again? Um, I'm thinking like uh not Argentina, but like who was it again? Who won the World Cup?
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's it's still ongoing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's still ongoing. Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02You got some winners, you're gonna have multiple winners, but oh okay, okay. Um but yeah, and uh let me just say, I know this don't have nothing to do with nothing, but food from the UK is so trash. I just want everybody to know.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that's what I heard.
SPEAKER_02It is trash. I was looking at a video on YouTube of them um trying out, and they reminded me of my time in the UK, and I remember how trash the food was. Just random, but yeah.
unknownNah.
SPEAKER_02The World Cup reminded me.
SPEAKER_01You know, uh, it's funny because like I know this is gonna be probably part of the nerdy news. I don't know. Maybe not that word nerdy, but since we're talking about Blue Lock, uh that soccer anime, uh, the creator is talking about how, oh, we're gonna keep this thing going until we until Japan wins uh at one point. And I'm sitting there like, oh, you gonna be waiting a while.
SPEAKER_04Oh, one piece level of episodes. Here we go.
SPEAKER_01Well, you're ready for season 25 of Blue Lock.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it could be sequels or just generation after generation or something.
SPEAKER_01Going for that generational run. What do you want her or not? So yeah, you know what? Let
Final Notes Ratings And Farewell
SPEAKER_01me just go ahead and get into my personal notes and we just wrap this up. So this series is visually stunning, beautiful sounding music. Like I said before, Coco reminds me of uh Midoria in regards to being an ordinary person, given uh well, quote unquote ordinary person, because once again, there's a lot of theories that's going on with this one season alone where I'm thinking like, uh-uh, you gotta have some sort of special sauce, like some sort of juice in your life. Ain't no way they're just picking a random person to just be like, hey, yo, how do you feel about being a witch that does whatever you want? No, there gotta be something more too. But um, being an ordinary person, giving a chance to make things happen and to make things right with her petrified mother. Like I said, Keith River Montya Satsuri Goja by appearance and being a teacher, but what makes him different from the Kakati Kachet mold is how he's driven by vengeance to regain what he lost. The mystery behind it all was very interesting, but is it really the top candidate for anime year? Well, people can say that if they want, but personally, I can't say that right now because we still have happy years to go. Like I said. So, count chickens after they hatch, folks. On that note, I give it a nine out of ten. So, uh, before we close this up, um, gentlemen, y'all got anything y'all gonna add on at all? Anything at all? Like, it could be some random bullshit if you want, because we're pretty much done anyway.
SPEAKER_02Fuck you three.
SPEAKER_01I'm good.
SPEAKER_02And I give it an eight out of ten. Um, the storyline, the plot, the pacing, everything was great, but there's too many loose holes, and I I'm mad that they didn't fill them, so they can't get no now. They got room to bro.
SPEAKER_01I want to say it was fairly impressive.
SPEAKER_02Like, okay, like it started out dope, and then I saw this.
SPEAKER_01I was like, eh, I wanted to finish it, but for when I'm gonna say animal the year, I was thinking like, okay, it don't have to be like some battle showing them, but like I was like expecting something to pop up, you know, like free room, where I'm like, oh shit, they kind of popping off with some of these fights. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02Now that dragon, oh my fucking god.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Now if if if Kefree did that multiple times, other than that one time in the whole season, I say he he's doing something, but that fucking dragon was dope as hell. The water dragon.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was the best, that was the best part of the season. It was a water dragon, yeah. Like episode four or five.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Keep in mind he's only two episodes in, so he didn't know that.
SPEAKER_02That's a dope ass water dragon.
SPEAKER_04Alright, we'll check it out as soon as I can.
SPEAKER_01That's all you had to say, bro. Like he was like, you had me and dragon. But alright, you know what? Let's go ahead and get this over with. So, to the dear listener, stay nerdy. Remember the great things are coming. Have yourself a good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. We're gonna go ahead and zone up out of here. So, I wanna say not only stay nerdy, but stay magical too.
