Overlord: Why Ainz Ooal Gown Looks Like a Mastermind, Even When He’s Winging It
What if your guild’s last midnight became your first day as a ruler? We dive headfirst into Overlord’s twisted charm: a salaryman stuck as an undead monarch, a fortress of hyper-loyal guardians, and a world eager to mistake awkward improvisation for master strategy. We tease apart the show’s secret engine—Demiurge’s false-flag “savior” plays, Albedo’s velvet tyranny, and how everyone reverse-engineers Ainz’s hesitations into doctrine—then ask the question fans love to fight over: mastermind or lucky lich?
We revisit the moments that define the series. Shalltear vs. Ainz is more than a spectacle; it’s a plot hinge that hints at other players and weaponized mind control. Sebas’s rescue of Tuare proves Overlord can go street-level and tender without dropping its fangs. Clementine’s infamous “hug” sets the tone for clinical brutality. Season two’s Lizardmen arc slows the tempo to show empire from the ground, then season three and four scale up with the Dark Young massacre, the Sorcerer Kingdom’s PR machine, and the bureaucratic comedy of a lich losing to paperwork while winning wars. Princess Renner’s reveal is the creepiest waltz in anime politics, turning love into treason and cementing the series’ horror-romance edge.
We also talk craft and context: why the show’s light nods to game mechanics make its world feel lived-in, how the emotion-suppressor turns morality into math, and where the movies and light novels fill crucial gaps. If you’re here for isekai power scaling, political intrigue, or messy debates about villainy vs antiheroism, this conversation brings the receipts—fights, faction moves, and the slow-burn statecraft that makes Overlord addictive.
Loved the breakdown? Follow, share with your party, and drop a review with your verdict: is Ainz a calculated overlord or the luckiest skeleton alive?

What up, gang? Let's talk about Overlord. So, this is a review that we've been trying to do for a while now. And Miri Jan, I do thank you for joining me for this one on Surprise Professor Talk. Isn't on this one because this is the main one that he really loves talking about. But like, it's the same thing with um Cody us at this point, too, where it's just like uh some mix-up happens, and next thing you know, he ends up missing the warm review that I set up for him. But we're just gonna go ahead and get it rolling, anyways. Overlord. We have our main character, Mamonga, who's renamed I'm gone. Uh, he was a regular seller man that led a guild, I'm gone, and this DMMO RPG game called Aegisil. After 12 years of playing the game, the servers were finally shutting down. Uh Mamonga logs in for the last time, waiting to see the game to its end. However, the clock strikes midnight and nothing seemed to have changed. But overall, I'm gonna focus on the characters a little bit before we really get into the plot. Uh, let's start with Mamonga or Aynes Ugone or Lower Eins as well affectionately like to address him as. Overall, I think it's pretty cool. But for some reason, it's like I can't help but think he's kind of like Sid Cogono from Eminence and Shadow, where he like uh I'm I'm kind of putting him on fraud alert because he half the time, okay, he seems like a competent leader, and I give him that. But the other half of the time, it's like he managed to lead a whole organization and an empire while making shit up as he goes. Like, in fact, uh, half his people, like I betto, uh Demiurge, and whatnot, it's almost like they're filling the blank for him, and he's and it's like, oh shit, I didn't even think about that. And then sometimes, like, especially with Demiurge, where uh he I like Demiurge, but like he kind of seemed to understand the assignment a little too well to a point where he's the one that brought up, oh, uh, our lord wants us to rule the world, and I'm just sitting there like, uh, and say, you know, that and then he just rolls with it. But uh uh, hold on, hold on. I'm trying to think, uh whenever something going on, uh, here comes something now. Uh whenever something happened, uh something popping off, uh just sit there and be like, okay, we need to figure something out. And uh it's kind of like uh what Sid Cognot uh um I'm sorry for this, I'm kind of damn. But I'm trying to think there was a time when between Sid Cognate and Aynes, there was the times where they would be sitting with somebody and he would have no idea what to do next, but then he would want the person to kind of feed him the information that he needs, so he'd be like, Oh, yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking. You see, you know me very well. I'm like, nah, you posted it. You are posting it, you didn't know what I'm doing. Uh what up, Tug? How you doing?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, what's good? Yeah, that's a fact. He said, This is the house of uh, he looked around, hot seen some hot sauce, Diablos. Yes, Diablos.
SPEAKER_08:I'm like, bro, like, nah, you made that shit up and just plot just happened to validate you. So I'm like, all right, whatever. But like, for the most part, I do like Aynes. Like, he's he's a very solid character. Uh, I will give him some slack.
SPEAKER_00:First of all, don't disrespect him. It's Lord Aynes, thank you.
SPEAKER_08:I will give him some slack since the guardians have some sense of awareness of what's going on, you know, like they kind of know that they're characters in the game, but uh not fully aware. And such as knowing about the 40 other guild members as supreme beings and Ayn's uh staying until the end. Uh let's get to what hold on before I continue. Mira Jane, your thoughts on Lord Aynes.
SPEAKER_02:My thoughts on Lord Ayes.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah. What do you think?
SPEAKER_07:I ain't gonna hold him. You call you low-key kind of got on my nerves being kind of sleepy. Like, like you, I don't, I didn't, I never could understand if he was playing ignorant or if it was just like he is ignorant. Like, I didn't. I could never get oh, and then all the just just all the girls just loving on him. Like, I don't understand, because it is not like he was really intelligent, let's be honest here. The only thing he was really good at was being overpowered.
SPEAKER_04:He's he's great at being LP.
SPEAKER_07:Like, that's it. But is he really, is he really the strategist that he seems to be, or do these things just be happening? That's what it's been like with us.
SPEAKER_08:Like, that's why I'm saying, okay, all right. I want to say at least in the first two seasons, or okay, he kind of knows what he's doing. But then by the time I got to season three, I'm like, oh, I gotta put you on fraud alert because you're kind of letting Demiurge and Alberto feed you the plan, and then you just um come behind and be like, yeah, that's exactly one of those things. That's what I was saying earlier.
SPEAKER_00:It's different from the game. A lot of stuff changed. So, what you mean by that? What you mean, like a lot of stuff changed? So, the original game he was the strategist for in the group, in the party, he was the head person, he was in charge of everybody, he knew everybody's position, their power, what they was able to do, all of that. When everything changed, was the end of season one, the beginning of season two, when he started realizing the differences that was happening from real life versus the differences that occurred in the game. So it was something new for him. So he has to discover everything. Now, some of the perks that he had previously work, like some of them, but some he had to make up on the spot.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, that's why I'm saying, okay, I'll give him some slight because he kind of knew what he was doing. I just didn't like the part where he was kind of reminding me of Sid Cong and O Swell. Uh, he was kind of letting his uh subordinates kind of make up the plan for him. That's the only thing that I'll like kind of I'm gonna do it. Yeah, it's mainly deniers, but sometimes out there.
SPEAKER_00:You want you remember that one time you said you wanted to take over the world? Oh yeah, that's what you've been working for. But like you said, remember he and he over there, like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I do it.
SPEAKER_02:No, no, no.
SPEAKER_07:The animation used to have me roll, it just had me roll it every time because it's like you could see the sweat drop. You can feel the sweat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You sound like your uncle disagree with everything.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I remember back in the day. Like, like JB, let's say you told you tell all of us something obscure that you said three years ago, and then we remember that one thing, and you don't even remember that shit no more. Like, well, that's what we worked before. That's what happened.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, it didn't.
SPEAKER_00:When the fuck I said that, you know, yeah, right. I did say that. I did say that. Yeah, yeah. Let's take over the world.
SPEAKER_08:But I gotta go back to my own reviews and be like, shit, I did say that.
SPEAKER_07:Jimmy Earth and I remind me of Pinky and the Brain. That's the the feeling that I get. What are we gonna do today, Pinky?
SPEAKER_04:Well, we're gonna take a come on now. They're gonna take over the world again. Again and again.
SPEAKER_08:You gotta do it right. It's like, all right, Brian, what we're gonna be doing tonight. Like, same thing we do every night, Pinky. We're planning to take over the world. But no, it was like reverse, though. Like, it was like um the suborners were thinking, all right, what's the plan, boys? You gonna subjugate this um nation right here? I was like, oh bro, I was gonna take a day. Oh, damn.
SPEAKER_07:It's it's like Pinky became honest and was like, oh day, is this what it's like to be brain? That's what it's even though we all know Pinky was a smartest born in Pinky in the brain, but we ain't gonna be like, You know what the crazy thing?
SPEAKER_08:The crazy thing is there's literally a character named Brain in this anime. I was like, bro, get the fuck out of here. No, no, no, like I I was fucking rolling when there was literally a dude named Klein. Like, really? His name is Klein.
SPEAKER_05:What's what's wrong with what's you got a problem with the name Klein?
SPEAKER_07:What's wrong with that? Oh, I guess, I guess in comparison, huh? What I love, what I love about this is that there is a butler named Sebastian.
SPEAKER_08:No, I think that's that's kind of because he's a whole black butler representing now. Okay, okay. That's kind of I I can roll with that. But Klein though, really, bro?
SPEAKER_00:Is that what we're doing? That butler cole, too. You know, fell in love with a hoe.
SPEAKER_07:Did you say you fell in love with a why why why did you say he fell in love with a hoe?
SPEAKER_00:She was a like literally, she was a hoe.
SPEAKER_08:Whoa, she was like, she was part of the slave trade, so like I mean, it wasn't like she was consent to that shit. I mean, it ain't like she was like had any real agency over that shit.
SPEAKER_01:It's more like was she a hodo?
SPEAKER_00:Oh my god, they cured all the diseases they they pulled back at 100%. Yeah, so the vagina got snatched back up.
SPEAKER_07:Damn, damn, oh vagina got snatched back up. I'll be honest with you. I feel like that should be I shouldn't say that.
SPEAKER_04:I don't know why I said it.
SPEAKER_07:I don't know why I said it. It didn't come out.
SPEAKER_06:I don't know who said that.
SPEAKER_07:You didn't have to go on it. Just let it alone. But honestly, though, she was she was a hoe. And I just love the fact that this is a little nugget, because let's be honest. This is total theory that Black Butler is somehow magically connected to Overlord. Like, let's what is it is chill phantom high playing the game? Just saying. I'm just saying we don't know what happens. It could be. That's why he has to have the butler, Sebastian. That's why.
SPEAKER_08:Uh, to our next character, I need to go ahead and say this is with on the topic topic of black butler. Uh, Mira Jane, first of all, I'm kind of disappointed that you missed the black butler review, but I'm hoping that we can get a segment from you later. But um the Emerald Witch Arc. If you've seen that shit, I'm gonna take this on the record right now. Why the fuck did that play out like the Truman show in Germany? Because he kind of did though, because essentially they sent that girl to think like, oh, you're in this whole fairy tale, magical world where like werewolves and whatnot turns out that oh, we smash your own fucking legs so that way you ain't gonna go nowhere, so you can develop this um soline gas, this um toxic gas that's gonna kill everybody and kickstart world war one, but we gotta keep you under the illusion. So we had to fabricate fucking everything. And her mother was fucking in on this, like she was the ringleader of that shit. I'm like, bro, bro, bro. Who is that? I got the fuck in when I saw all that shit.
SPEAKER_02:Oh my god.
SPEAKER_08:But uh, all right, let's keep it moving. Alberta. All right, let's check here.
SPEAKER_00:Let me start. Let me let me start real quick and just tell y'all, real quick, as a warning, no disrespect for my baby mama. All right, oh my god, here we go. She will literally choke me. Okay, and I would enjoy it for the first five minutes. After that, I would no longer enjoy it. So please, please, you would be dead. Don't disrespect her.
SPEAKER_08:Okay now. Hold on, like, I see. Well, listen, I'll bet on the highest ranking NPC. Well, I don't know if call them NCPCs anymore since they're alive, but the highest ranking officer in the Tomb of Nazareth and supervisor of all its guardians was created by a former guild member named Tabula. Beautiful looking demon lady, but was originally designed to be a total bitch until uh Lord Oz edited her code to be deeply in loving with him. So I'm like, all right, so uh I kind of understand the attraction. Hell, even that one dude, that one barren dude that thought, oh, he had a shot, but then all of a sudden, um, you know, that one scene where oh he got a private audience where uh and it's like oh I knew you see my value or not, and like, oh yeah, yeah, I got whatever, dog. Listen, like, I got something for you. Uh, he opened the box for you, uh, and then turns out it's got three heads, and next thing you know, he was gone too. So it got me thinking, like, uh Alberto, she got a deep love for I to a point to where like she can't wait to jump on those bones per can she get. Like, she really wants Ayn to impregnate her and whatnot. And I just think it's funny when she had that little back and forth with Saltier because Shaut here also got a bad for her. But uh, before we even get to Saltier, I'm gonna go ahead and let Mira Jane say what she got to say about Albedo.
SPEAKER_07:Okay, so Albedo is a what-if scenario is Urza and Mirajane came together and was love obsessed. Like that, and she, you know, you know what? I can understand why she's baby mama. She's kind of cute. I like her obsessive behavior, and I don't know why. Maybe it's because I've been reading books about stalkers, but that's not the point.
SPEAKER_08:The point is that okay, that's not greedy business recognized Brazy Bitches.
SPEAKER_07:You know what I'm saying? And her obsession with wanting to, you know, have his babies is kind of cute, and it's also a little dangerous because if he look at anybody, they did. She's going to kill them. Like, he came, he don't need to sneeze no one else's way. And I like that.
SPEAKER_08:Now, the funny thing is about that is that although she makes it painfully obvious uh how much uh she loves him, uh, well, I mean, I I care about you, but like I I don't know if I can't match that energy that you're on.
SPEAKER_07:She just needs a little bit more convincing. That's all. It's just it should take a little time, you know what I'm saying? He'll hit me in eventually.
SPEAKER_00:You can't keep saying though. It's not like Professor Wagner being Miss Parker now.
SPEAKER_08:That's not what it's gonna be. Guys, you're gonna hit him with um that step room talking about, oh, I'm wearing you down, baby. I'm wearing you down.
SPEAKER_07:Nah, I'm wearing she if she don't, I understand. I under I Professor Tuck, I actually agree with this baby mama. This is the first one I think I'm agreeing with.
SPEAKER_06:I think, look, but I agree with this one. Welcome to the club, man. You know what I mean? I'm gonna I'm gonna leave you on. I don't want to be got on. That don't sound right.
SPEAKER_00:That's not what I need. Yeah, to be on the baby mama club. Look, I have a thing for yonder race. I like them obsessive, so obsessive that like I know they'll never leave me. I can't look at no other girl or they're gonna be upset. That's what I like.
SPEAKER_08:Have you heard of this one new-ish anime? Because it came out earlier this year. Uh, you heard of uh yonder elf?
SPEAKER_00:No, I did not. I did not even. You said elf yonder elf?
SPEAKER_08:She's a chocolate elf on top of what she's a chocolate elf. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:First of all, yonder, and then an elf that's chocolate. I'm all over.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, let me let me see if I can pull it up. I'm gonna do a screen share in just a moment, but I'm gonna pull it up for you.
SPEAKER_07:I ain't gonna hold you. Uh uh. That's not like right up my alley. I ain't gonna hold you. Uh, because I like crazy.
SPEAKER_08:Her name's on uh Maria Bell. Just um you know, uh home.
SPEAKER_07:She said, ring my bell. That's what she said.
SPEAKER_08:Let me get a good picture of her. Okay, here we go. Um wait a minute.
SPEAKER_00:But uh, yeah, uh, you got anything you want to add on to Alberto First, she is such a good and competent leader, she loves to give them freedom, but simultaneously she rules with an iron fist because she don't care what they do as long as they abide by the number one rule. Don't ever disrespect Lord Aynes Ul Gong, don't ever do it. And bear in mind that's not his original name. I don't know if y'all already said that.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, again, I said Mamonga, but it changed to uh Aynes as of uh episode six.
SPEAKER_00:And my monga is dope as hell as a hero. So looking at the two different characteristics of um Aynes, and then comparing it to Albedo, who loves him in either scenario, because she knows who it is, like taking on that name so that he can discover. Oh my lord Jesus, oh my lord Jesus. That that's a baby mama right there. That is most definitely a baby mama, yeah, yeah. It's only 12 episodes so far, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_08:It's only 12 episodes so far, so it'll take like an afternoon to get done with it.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, yeah, yeah, most definitely. And what's the name of that anime?
SPEAKER_08:Uh Yonderate Elbum. I'm trying to figure out the uh full name.
SPEAKER_00:Uh Yonderate Dark Elf, she chased me all the way from another world. Uh consider that guy. I'm gonna watch that tonight, obsessively devoted Dark Elf named Mary Maria Bell follows him to another world. Oh, she followed him to another world, boy. That's what I'm talking about. That's love right there, bro.
SPEAKER_08:Like just go ahead, you go ahead and watch it. Just go ahead and watch it. Yeah, already did it for anime lightning. So, for y'all who see um listen to the second anime lightning, I already talked about it on the second anime lightning, so you can hear my thoughts on that. On that one, all right, keep it in movement. Yep, uh, south here, bro. Like, okay. Now, she also got it bad for eyes, but I think it's kind of cute how she kind of inflated herself just to be more appealing, you know. Aside from that, uh I would say her fight with eyes is probably one of my favorite in the whole series, to be personally.
SPEAKER_00:Player versus player, right? Was that that name of the episode?
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, that's what that's what it was. Because, bro, like the uh fight choreography was crazy in that one, like they were really going at each other.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, you thought my boy was gonna lose to his subordinate.
SPEAKER_08:No, I mean, no, I didn't think he was gonna lose.
SPEAKER_00:No, I'm just saying in general, not like that.
SPEAKER_08:I'm just saying, I at least I at least appreciate the fact that okay, we can't I appreciate the cinematography of it all. That's all.
SPEAKER_00:That was the last uh of the uh season, too. Last episode.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, he wasn't even like warrior yet, but yeah. I was uh kind of fucking with uh shelter for the most part. Like I think she looked a good counter ballot. Well, excuse me. I like how she was trying to redeem herself ever since she got uh mind control, and honestly, maybe so you can um clarify on this, but like was ever cleared up who had her under that mind control because it it just felt like um it was a mystery left open.
SPEAKER_00:Did you read the manga?
SPEAKER_08:I didn't.
SPEAKER_00:All right, no, I ain't gonna uh spoil it, but it's uh um it'll be covered in a later season. I'm not sure if it's gonna be the new season or not, because they skipping around a little bit from the light novels.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, but I mean I think I figured there was gonna be something.
SPEAKER_00:I want to give you a hint, but like I also don't. But just just know there in the world, there's other players. Okay, I I kind of figured that because they kind of and and it just it just goes into that because if you've seen at the end, like she can't even recall anything that happened, and there's a reason for that, it's some magic at play.
SPEAKER_08:Gotcha, gotcha. All right, well, until a new season or maybe a new movie, I don't know. Like, I'm thinking like, wasn't there a third movie will be coming out somehow?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, and she a baby mama candidate too, but she can't because I better won't let me have any other baby mamas from Overlord. So it's fine. It's fine. I do got things for vampires. I ain't gonna lie.
SPEAKER_08:Speaking of vampire, you call me sooky. You vampire love you. Speaking of which, Mary Jane, how you feeling about uh Celsier? I mean, I know it's that word, but like I don't speak for it.
SPEAKER_07:I'm back. I'm sorry. Um honestly, I'm glad you got with the fight. I'm so glad because that fight was something else. It was definitely top tier, definitely a highlight. Um like what I did like about it though is honestly, Shawtier gave I the run for his money up until the end. Like, we're it's I felt like that was a little unfair that he exploited her weakness like that. That was fucked up. Because, like, this is like so wait. A win is a win, man. No, because like no, no, that sounds like that was cheating. That's a little cheating. Like, he used, he messed with her mind. Like, it's like you can't be doing slight warfare in the middle of the fight. Ain't no cheating in the fight. Okay, but you can't do that though. I just feel like she deserves. I don't, you know what? I feel like she's too good for honesty.
SPEAKER_00:That's what I feel like. Oh no, let's not disrespect Lord Hans like that now. Like, like that's not him. He ain't even pulled nothing out of his bag of bones. All he pulled out was a little ring. You know how you know how many artifacts my boy got? You you don't even know. You got man, you gotta read the light novel. You don't know how powerful. He is overlord for a reason. The name is overlord for a reason. But I'm just I just feel I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_08:Oh, can I can I just say that I liked how four seasons in he finally said it where he considered himself the overlord of darkness, like uh he said it.
SPEAKER_07:It did take him four seasons. It did, it took a while, it took us a long time to get there.
SPEAKER_00:It's kind of like I'm an overlord.
SPEAKER_07:Is he an overlord? Is he sure?
SPEAKER_08:I mean, he was taking over nations and shit, like uh E Ranzel and whatnot, kind of the whole torture kingdom. Like he he kind of is though.
SPEAKER_01:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_07:You know, I I can I can honestly say this. I kind of got on my nerves. I ain't gonna hold you. Like, it's just it was a love-hate relationship with this man. Thing. Not love. Yes, it was a love-hate relationship. Because like it just, like at times I be, oh, he kind of endearing, he kind of cute. But then what he did, I didn't like the way he played with her mind like that. That that that definitely changed some. I was like, mm-mm. Because what if he played with my mind like that? Mm-mm. But he can't play with I better like that. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, he can. Cause because she already, she already, that's what I'm saying. Like, it wouldn't even be because he already played with her mind.
SPEAKER_08:Like, oh, he did with kind of circling back to that uh that one detail. Like, MJ, is this something you really want to talk about?
SPEAKER_06:No, nope, nope, nope, not at all.
SPEAKER_08:Alright, all right, all right. Uh all right, let's um blaze through the other four guardians. Uh, there is Gargantua, and I also want to uh throw in victims. Um I feel like they were alluded to, but I never really seen them. Like I think I'm guessing they're gonna be so uh appear more later on. Like, we haven't really got a good look at them in the anime, like or less. I just kind of missed them when I went to get some food watching the uh all four seasons. I'm thinking like, dang, like, did I miss them? God swear to god they didn't show up at all. They were mentioned, but I didn't see them yet. But um, I ain't worked at the worry about them.
SPEAKER_00:Uh you'll see them in the next season. You see all of them in in different kinds of aspects.
SPEAKER_08:Cool, cool, cool.
SPEAKER_00:Especially the twins.
SPEAKER_08:Oh, speaking of which, or and Mara. I like them. I mean, they they kind of confused me at first because I swear to god, I thought Aura was the boy and Mari was the girl, but they did they had the whole cross-dressing thing going on that kind of threw me off for like a hot minute.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, the player that created them was in the cross-dressing. Yeah, I yeah, but I and just so y'all know, um, I don't know if you ever seen, but this was originally made for a video game, it's so detailed, like down to the like final fantasy, like right, it's it's down to the absolute detail. They can literally create the best video game based off of all the details that's in the light novel. Really? Yeah, it's it's that detailed because it was originally made for a video game. The the author made it in the intention of making a video game. I would play the heck out of something like this. I ain't gonna lie, MMORPG.
SPEAKER_07:That makes sense. I love MMOs that that I would have played the heck out of this because it's like who wouldn't want to feel like this?
SPEAKER_00:Like that, yeah. I'm sorry about Kokugatsu because I know so much information, but the uh the Kokugatsu with the info with the TMI, the power scale system in it is so dope, bro. Based off of everybody, and you know who reigns at the top, of course, the overlord, but there's other people that are almost directly underneath him, like other players. But of all the players, of course, he was the leader for a reason.
SPEAKER_08:Um you know what this all reminds me of this new anime that I checked out right before the session, uh Apocalypse Bringer Managera. It's similar to Oval, I swear, but I mean, there's some differences, of course, but some of the way it plays out, whereas like you have this main guy who gets easy time to another world, he wants to make an evil empire. And uh, unlike overlord, that's based on an um fantasy RPG, this one is based off of a 4X game. But I'm gonna mention all this in detail when I actually do the review, but I just thought it was kind of funny how. It plays out similar to Overlord, but at the same time, it has different aspects of um it in a way. This anime, this new anime, leans into the video game aspect a little bit more. While Overlord, I'm gonna explain this in a little bit, but uh just get off Monongra for a moment. Where I like it. You're gonna hear from me when I do this review eventually. But what I like about Overlord, that's different from Monga, where they made it more obvious that there's video game aspects influencing the plot. Overlord kind of immersed you into it where it's so immersive to a point where you kind of forget that it's based off a video game. Kind of like hat where the story is so good you you kind of forget that it was based off a game. Uh I also want to say that well, no, that was about it.
SPEAKER_07:I I don't know, I'm kind of I mean, you've been asking us questions. How do you feel? How do you feel about eyes? You've been asking me as hugs how we feel. How do you feel about eyes? Like unadulterated, how you feel. I mean I know you said, but I want you to dig deep. Don't be looking for somebody to. Shut up. He can agree with me if you want. We I agree with him. I just want him to dig deep and just agree that eyes is the worst overboard. Objection?
SPEAKER_00:Okay. Objection, JB. She's badgering the witness. You are leading, you're leading. I agree with him. Trying to get him to agree with you. Come on now.
SPEAKER_08:You are kind of doing that, like kind of twisting my arm there, but like, bro, listen. Like, I don't hate Ayn. Like, he's so as he is. Like, at the very least, he's in a way, I kind of like how he kind of gives off like fall of figure vibe to some of the maze and his um kingdom. I'm not well, yeah, you might as well say kingdom at this point. And his organization and whatnot. Like, crazy enough, just like this main character in Managra, both of these characters, like, yeah, they're leading evil empires. But are they the bad guy, girls? So it's kind of like that one scene from Wreck and Ralph. You are the bad guy, but that doesn't mean you are a bad guy. Where I'm like, I'm not convinced you're all that evil. I'm thinking that you just want the kind of empire to where you just do whatever the fuck you want. And that's pretty much their MO right there. It's like, all right, let's build this empire so that way we can all just live however the fuck we want instead of all this rude, you know, I don't know.
SPEAKER_07:No, that makes sense. No, like, that it kind of, you know, he kind of reminded me a little bit of Tensor Millio. Like, this anime kind of reminded me of like what would happen if you just took the obsessive love story of T. Muglio and put it in Overlord. That's kind of what it reminded me of. But Timmy Millio is extremely complicated, and I don't want that to be a topic that we reviewed.
SPEAKER_06:I get confused about his baby mamas.
SPEAKER_08:Then he got a lot of baby mamas. I hate to tell you this, but that's on the schedule for November.
SPEAKER_00:What's what's the name of that show with all the baby mamas? Tinty Muyo. Oh, y'all was talking too fast. Hold on, y'all talk at the same time.
SPEAKER_08:Got Tinty Muyo.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, yeah, I'm gonna watch that.
SPEAKER_08:No, you're not bro. Don't do that. Warning you it's a lot.
SPEAKER_06:It's a lot. Don't do it. Hold on. But you gotta understand multiple series. It's it's more, and you gotta understand how all of the baby mamas end up with baby.
SPEAKER_08:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_07:Muyo y o the the only baby mama he needed was Ryoko. And that reminds me of Aldeda. And then, you know, I'm just saying. Oh, it's like franchise.
SPEAKER_00:Oh no? No. It's not smart. Like season-wise, it's it's kind of. Oh man. Sort of. I got a lot to watch.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. You do. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07:And you're gonna need to pull out a whiteboard so you can track how the baby mamas become baby mamas. Because now we do that.
SPEAKER_00:I'm a baby mama expert.
SPEAKER_08:Bro, like it's like Kingdom Hearts level uh complicated to where like you're gonna have to like go like zigzag, crisscross, and whatnot, trying to piece together with everything.
SPEAKER_06:I'm not even I'm not even gonna ruin, I'm not even texting to say nothing else.
SPEAKER_00:I'm gonna just mamaologist.
SPEAKER_06:Um's is a ship.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, sometimes baby mamas be inadimate options. It's fine. Three three eye atlas.
SPEAKER_08:No, I mean Brick Sansi as he fucked the whole planet. That's a fact. That's a fact. You have to say that. I mean, like if we just go um bam for ban, we might as well go with that.
SPEAKER_07:If we're gonna go nut for nut.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_07:At least you know what, that is the only respect that I can give Oz. At least he don't have 16 million baby mamas.
SPEAKER_00:He don't have an appendix.
SPEAKER_07:I mean, like I said, the respect that I can get.
SPEAKER_00:All he got is a pelvis. It's not his fault.
SPEAKER_08:No, he can only spin the ball.
SPEAKER_07:He can scissor. Scissoring. People like scissoring. I found out recently. I didn't know exactly what scissoring was. What?
SPEAKER_08:Nah, ain't no way, MJ.
SPEAKER_07:Come on now. To be honest with you, I found out via wrestling what exactly scissoring was when they were like, scissor me, daddy, yes, and I was like, I get it now. Yeah, yep, yep, yep.
SPEAKER_00:Wow. You are such a maiden.
SPEAKER_07:Like, yeah, I mean, that's what happens when you get married early. I got married early too.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, but I I also did you ever figure out um what I said earlier? Um like a while ago when I said that if a dude invites you on the boat, what's the implication?
SPEAKER_06:Nope. I never got it. I don't want to say I honestly on a boat sounds like a nice trip to me. The implication is she gonna drive the boat.
SPEAKER_08:I mean, that's one way to put it.
SPEAKER_00:You need to listen to more many castallion, and you'll be fine.
SPEAKER_07:I hate her so much. Why would I do that?
SPEAKER_00:You ain't seen that new video. You ain't seen that new video. I don't I don't like her as a person. Hey, shout out to Clay. I don't understand. Shout out to Clay Splash, bro.
SPEAKER_08:No, no, no, no. If we're gonna talk about crazy bitches, can we talk about Clementine, that uh psycho killer lady that I was just fixing to say that I was just fixing to bring up Clementine, bro. Listen, like okay, so you go around talking about hey bro, listen, I do this shit for fun. Like, she was just killing people for fun. Like, I'll I love killing, I love torturing, I love seeing your terrified look on your faces when I do it. You better look at me in the eyes when you when I do it, and then by the time um Clementine was dealing with Hines, and then uh Nabe, uh who we know at Narborreal, was dealing with um Buddy with the skeletal dragons, but like she dealt with him like with ease. But then with Hines, though, like of course, he handled Clementine easily, but I like the way he did it to her, like, hey girl, come here and give me a hug.
SPEAKER_00:Creepy ass smile, bruh.
SPEAKER_07:It was so creepy, it was so creepy.
SPEAKER_08:I love you, you love me.
SPEAKER_07:No, like the way you're not moving, he's not done in I'm stabbing nothing. I'm sorry, trying to stay.
SPEAKER_08:You know, it is um eyes and shit, like yeah, rats and him like I think she she trying to bite on, like, bro. You try to bite the two lost all those tooth.
SPEAKER_07:She did, bro, bro, she was an animal, she was absolutely an animal, and then I ain't gonna hold you. His great she he really did squeeze the hell out of her. Like, she just how you get hugged to death. How is that the way you go out?
SPEAKER_08:Hey girl, come hug my neck. And I'm like, uh, you don't have any meat on no more. Hey, don't worry about it. Don't worry about all that.
SPEAKER_02:That don't sound right.
SPEAKER_04:That was actually kind of scary. Why you like on me? Why you hell on me?
SPEAKER_07:What's wrong? What is wrong with me? What's wrong with me? Never mind, never mind. That sounds very Halloween-ish. We are close to it.
SPEAKER_08:You ask the wrong questions. Come hug me.
SPEAKER_07:No, I'm uh that that I'm running the absolute opposite direction. That is horrified. No.
SPEAKER_08:Oh shit, you know what? But I want to say that season one, damn, I love season one. That was the shit for me. Now, season two, I'm gonna be honest with you. Y'all were kind of losing me in season two, like half the first half, y'all kind of losing me because this whole bullshit with the Lizardmen, like two, three, four episodes of this. I'm like, that's where coquitis, uh well, uh warrior bugs showing up. You're like, all right, I'm gonna make life work out of all y'all. Like, it was like a slow burn, so all that stuff. Like, we kind of know they're gonna get steamrolled, but I'm like, see, that's that's the kind of thing. Like, what I like about Overlords, where these characters who were NPCs, it's like the story trying to set us up to where um we're supposed to give a damn about each of these characters, like they have the their own stories and whatnot, outside of what I've got going on, and then halfway into season so you kind of get to a point where you kind of forget that uh Ayn just gonna end up showing up and give this whole decree to where I'm like, Hey yo, so check this out. We kind of wanna invite y'all into our little party and whatnot, but we need to see how tough y'all are. So be prepared in like what was it, like 48 hours or something like that? Um be prepared to have your shit rocked. And then the lizard man was like, no, we surrender. No, no, no, don't do that, don't do that, don't do that. Because y'all that ruins it for me. That ruins I want I want to see how tough y'all are, I want to see how strong y'all are. Like, don't surrender, like just let it happen, you know. Uh, you better put those hands up when we uh show back, come back around here, and like I forgot what it was. Uh I think it was two, three days, but uh yeah, that that was the whole thing, even to a point to where oh uh we saw two lizard people getting it on too, like it was Discovery Channel.
SPEAKER_00:And then after all that, they were giving it in. You know, you feel me? They was trying to have it, they was trying to have them a white white lizard.
SPEAKER_08:Okay, and then after that, we had what I like to call the black butler arc, where Sebis uh was fighting against this criminal organization, uh, Eight Finger, uh, after you know, he saved Tuari to whore. I mean, you know, she's now a maid, so okay. Uh, anyways, Sebis was trying to handle them, and this also draws Lord Aynes' attention, leading to this strategic battle and alliances being made, and there was this whole battle of uh Cast Plains where Aynes demonstrates his overwhelming power by decimating a whole army at the re-essence kingdom, solidify his reputation. I think this is when I don't know if this was season two or season three. Like I was watching four seasons in a whole weekend. Some things are gonna get worried, but uh, I think it was season two when it was like he essentially launched his spell that killed 70,000 people. Uh and then no, no, no, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, that's true. This nigga had a death parade and military service and parade before he killed everybody. This shit is crazy. This nigga said, Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm gonna kill y'all, but y'all gonna see this whole parade first. I'm gonna show y'all how powerful I am, and then we're gonna get y'all in two seconds.
SPEAKER_08:And then, okay, my bad. Uh see, the funny thing is, like season two and season three had a battle at uh cast planes. There was like the battle, and then there's the massacre, where essentially, uh not only they but also he kind of absorbed those bodies and whatnot to make five what was called the thousand young or uh something else. Uh they called it something else, but like it was like these bleeding ghosts that look like really nightmare type shit. And the crazy thing is, like, I have a mixed feelings about them being CGI, like uh it looks kind of good, but then at the same time, it kind of looked like some shit straight up uh PS2 or Xbox game. Like I'm talking OG Xbox game. Like I don't know, like I have mixed feelings about the design, the final design. It kind of reminds me of Attack on Titan season three all over again to where, like, okay, what's up with the claws of Titan looking all blocky and shit with the CGI? I don't know, I don't know about that band. Uh, but that's beside the point. Season two, it uh it was a slow burn at first, but then after we get past the whole thing with the lizard man, it kind of picks back up, and I'm like, okay, I'm back in there. I'm I'm back here. All right, cool. Uh what were your thoughts on season two?
SPEAKER_00:It's like all other seasons. I love all of it, you know what I mean? But season two as a whole, uh so season one set us up with just, you know, like let's say it's like an origin story. It's telling you a backstory, it's getting into some of the characters, and then season two is showing you how powerful these people can actually be. It ended with a major scene, so it had to pick up with like some light work. It had to show you like a some story building, some um a little bit of like foreshadowing of what's gonna happen in later seasons, and it also introduced more of the world. You see, the the world building is what really sets apart the show, focusing on other characters besides you know the main characters that we like.
SPEAKER_08:Right, right.
SPEAKER_00:So yeah, I think season two was a nice setup. It was a setup season for season three, right?
SPEAKER_08:Uh MJ, do you have any thoughts on season two?
SPEAKER_07:Uh, I'm gonna keep it, I'm gonna keep it short because I understand we still got like what two more seasons left. So what I loved about it was the uh lizard man, right? Like when uh what's his name? How do you say his name? Because it sounds like Coitus. It sounds like Coitus. I don't like saying that word. That's what it sounds like.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I love that word, not gonna lie. It sounds one of those weird, like, it's like, why you gotta say it like that? Like, yeah, it's like uh imagine, no no no, imagine it's like you're a man and you're coming home from work, and then your wife is like in bed, like she's probably in her uh nightgown and whatnot. And it's almost like it sounds like okay, so I came home from work, and then I noticed my um wife wasn't good in her nightgown, so I kind of crept over her and try to um initiate the quiz.
SPEAKER_07:Oh god. Nope. Nope. I don't like this word, uh, but that's what his name is. I I'm I'm I know that's not how you pronounce it, but that's the best way I can pronounce it. Like him seeing him, like kind of like uh not um, but seeing that that happen and take charge and like invading the that was super super cool. That was like my favorite. Koikitis, but it's not like see, doesn't it? It's still so every time I heard it, that's that's what translated into my brain. Um, but slowly it made me feel something for koikitis. Like I just, I was like, oh, okay. And this was the first time like that it seemed like uh eyes really took the reins and really was like, okay, I'm gonna delegate everything. And so it was I loved that, but I think that's like really the beginning of season two, really. Um and of course, Sebastian. And this just solidifies my theory that Black Butler is connected, and it's just Sheel Phantom Hotter, and it would make sense, okay? Because when have we ever seen Sheo really low on that girl that that's obsessed with him? It makes sense. It just hold on.
SPEAKER_08:Like, okay. Once again, I kind of wish you were on the Black Butler review for this. But like, yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say connected, but more like there was definitely a reference to Black Butler, almost like the uh Mangaka for Overlord was like, oh hey, uh Black Butler's kind of good. It'd be great if we had a uh character like that and um R Story, something like that.
SPEAKER_07:And the the fact that his name is okay.
SPEAKER_08:But hold on. Uh I like how you mentioned uh CL's uh fiance, Elizabeth. And I'm like, okay, I'm right there with you to where like she seems kind of obsessed and like uh kind of annoying at first, but bro, when you watch Book of the Atlantic and you see her uh fucking fight with a sword, oh you know what? I didn't not recognize your face.
SPEAKER_07:It makes sense. Albedo, come on. See what I'm saying? Make sense.
SPEAKER_06:I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_08:I mean, I would say that would be more close to the main chick from Nagra, but eh, you know, you can watch that uh if you're I'm gonna have to watch it then.
SPEAKER_07:I guess if I watch it, I'll watch it. Oh, watch it. But uh that was what I really I loved. Um I love seeing like the emotional development that happened in the second half. What's the bad like it's there's a lot of different different emotions that come up. It's kind of really complex, and I just loved those moments. Um Demi Erg. Shout out to Lademi Erg in this point. Yeah, but other than that, uh oh, and don't we find out this one uh we find out about the manipulation thing, right? Isn't that when we find out? Uh the princess. What's her name?
SPEAKER_08:Uh uh, that's why yeah, yeah. It's like uh and the tail end of it where you kind of find out that oh yeah, the princess kind of manipulating the whole events where she's kind of hoping that climb would uh like kind of using climb as a sacrificial pawn and kind of see that uh creepy face for the first time that she makes.
SPEAKER_07:What? Yeah, okay, okay. I knew I was I kind of the seasons were kind of starting to join together by that point. So I was like, is it season three or is it season two? But yeah, when that started coming out, I was like, mmm. That's when I was like, okay, I'm I'm I'm I got I understood. I was like, I got back in it. Cause like I don't know, pacing season two's pacing was off to me. I'm gonna be honest with you, so rush, and maybe I needed a remainder, but that's neither here nor there. But that's my thoughts on season two. That's all I got.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I just see unlike me, season three was the one where I'm like the most buddies on because for some reason I was so used to trying to get past um season two because of the whole lizard uh man thing, uh kind of threw me up a little bit. But once I got to season three, first of all, best opening thing so far. Oh, hold on. Um, before I even go even further, I love the continuity of the ending theme to where even though it's a different song, I like how the visuals for the ending theme always have like this oil painting like texture and whatnot for the characters. I I like how not only it looks good, but I like how they just kept that going for each of the ending things. Like usually with uh anime endings, like it's just completely different songs, completely different visuals, but no, they just kept it like oh and on, you know what, we're gonna give it that sauce where like they're gonna remember the ending thing, if nothing else. But uh, I'm trying to remember on what all happened in oh wait, hold on, hold on. Can we talk about how Saltier's punishment for the mind control? Um, you know, assumably I'm not she was presumed to have portrayed Nazareth and uh her punishment was she had to be Lord Ayn's uh seat for like a minute, and then like she was like low-key enjoying it, and Alberta was obviously Joe's. But uh, I also like how when Popeitus uh fucked up, uh he was also made to be Lord Ayn seat, and then he was asking, hey yo, so who's better, me or Celtier? And then Celtier was just sitting there like, how dare you? And I'm like, bro, like y'all, y'all kinda um tripping me out with uh how y'all be this in love with uh I uh that's fair.
SPEAKER_07:What is going on here? Especially the seat part. Like, why y'all wanna be? And then was it more so? It honestly felt more like a jazz, like he was just trying to get under his hand, you know? Like big brother little, like I'm gonna tease you, I'm gonna be like, who's better? Just to see the reaction, but I don't know. That part was weird. I ain't gonna hold you. That part I was like, what is happening? And why why is it the why is that the punishment? I feel like there was better punishments, but okay.
SPEAKER_00:He really ain't no better punishment.
SPEAKER_08:Okay, like he was really trying to um figure out a punishment, but like he I don't think he even really wanted to punish them. It's more like, oh well, you know, if I'm gonna be like a evil king or whatnot, I'm I'm I gotta give him some sort of punishment a while. Alright, well, you just be in my seat, fuck it. Like, you know, that's some over punishment, I guess. But I didn't know they were gonna like it.
SPEAKER_01:But uh I didn't know like it.
SPEAKER_08:But season three, not gonna lie, yeah, it's still a blur to me outside of oh, they had to deal with some goblins and orcs that was happening. But uh, so you know what? You probably wouldn't know better. Um how did you feel about season three? What did you think that happened?
SPEAKER_00:I'm glad you asked. So, first of all, season three, this is uh an epic season because it focuses on the consolidation and public declaration of power, okay? We know that Ours is powerful. It's time for everybody to know that Ones is powerful. So he is transitioning from a regular player to a global player. This is when Dami Urge's plan comes into action so that they can eventually take over the world. Now, they don't want to take over the world normally, they want to take over the world by a show of force and a show of support by being a hero and a villain. So that's where it is. Um the first arc of it, it focused on Carne Village, uh, and that was like episode one through five. So he wants Nazareth to be like, you know, he wants the denizens in there to be sort of like a slice of life type joint. And he wants to also control the village. So he wanna appoint somebody that he trusts as the village chief. So in order to do this, you know what I mean, he gotta first have somebody in place, and then he gotta invade it and he gotta save it. So that's what this whole thing was about. Um, just so that they can prepare. This is like their first step and where their capital cities are gonna be for them to eventually take over the rest of the world.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, so now I remember. Uh, it was about them going ahead and trying to seize all these different lands, like Riacy, like I found remember. Like, damn, like I don't know why, but like season three felt like I know I I just watched it, but damn, I don't remember much about outside of that. But um, yeah, uh MJ, you anything you want to add on to what Talk was saying?
SPEAKER_07:Um no, season three wasn't season three was low-key kind of like my least favorite. Um I don't know why, I guess because uh I don't know, it just wasn't in it. I like the only thing I really liked about it was we get introduced to uh Brain, right? The Brain and Um, what's her name, right? Uh Child's here, right? So Brain shows up and like hold on.
SPEAKER_08:I think um that was like Am I mixing them up?
SPEAKER_04:I could be mixing them up.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, like that was season one.
SPEAKER_04:Oh snap, yeah.
SPEAKER_08:That was like way back in season one. How you can girl, however, I think this is the season where Ring dies against Koichitis uh uh near the end.
SPEAKER_00:That's what it yeah, it was the the between the seasons was so stretched out, it's so far out.
SPEAKER_08:No, no, no. I got it messed up. I got it mixed up. That was um season four. Season three is when um buddy gazil fights Aynes to a duel, knowing damn well he wasn't gonna win, but like fuck it, I'm just gonna duel him anyways, you know, because for honor and whatnot. And um, this was also when uh the dark young was also being used against uh the reactive kingdom and whatnot. Make a Zenfle album and whatnot. Yeah, I don't know why. I don't know why I'm getting these mixed up too, so I don't blame you, MJ. Yeah, it's just it's like I'm gonna be honest with you, too. Overlord is a good story, but I swear to god, it feels like a lot to absorb. Like, I'm like, hold on, like it's a video game, it's it's deep dive. Yeah, yeah, I know, but I'm I'm I'm sitting here like Denza watching it, like, bro, like explain this to me like I'm a uh kindergarten or something. Okay, like like I'm a two-year-old something. There's an element to this that I just can't wrap my head around.
SPEAKER_00:It is a lot, it's a lot of information, right? Yeah, and it's also a lot of missing information, and that's on purpose because it can't tell you everything because it plays out in later seasons, right?
SPEAKER_07:Um it's kind of almost like a playthrough.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, you know what? Another character that I meant um talking about, but I was uh kept forgetting his name. Uh, you know how all 41 of the supreme beings created their own NPC to be like their assistant and whatnot, right?
SPEAKER_00:Right.
SPEAKER_08:All right, so we know that uh Alberto, Oramari, uh Demiurge, all of them had different masters, but uh there was one NPC that Lord Eyes himself created. Oh nours actor. And can I just say that okay, first of all, this dude is kind of cringe, in fact, he's kind of cringe, but hey no, listen, that drip though, oh god, he's kind of nice now.
SPEAKER_04:Oh the drip?
SPEAKER_08:Okay, I mean, like, okay, yeah, I get it. Like, he's uh like a German soldier, so it was like okay, like slow. I I get it, but like, come on though, it does look kind of nice.
SPEAKER_00:Did you did you watch it in sub or dub?
SPEAKER_08:I watched a little bit of both because like uh sometimes it'll be like okay, if the sub isn't available, then I watch it dub, but then uh my player just kept um uh messing around with whether it uh you know how sometimes you try to watch a sub, but it only has like Spanish or whatnot. Then I'm like, okay, well, I'm gonna have to watch this one dub. But then otherwise like a Did you hear his voice in dub? Yes, I did.
SPEAKER_00:Oh the worst voice ever.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I just can't stand that voice. It was it fit the character though.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, it does fit the character. I mean, I guess that's what makes it cringe because like the performance made it sound cringe.
SPEAKER_00:Oh my lord.
SPEAKER_08:But um, yeah. I feel like I already talked about um season three currently, but uh whatever. I I don't know. Like uh I shit. I do know this much. I definitely remember season four where shit was popping off okay, before we even get to season four, season three concluded to where, okay, essentially Iran Tell was taken over by Lord Aynes. He um that's his territory now. He even had to um clear up the whole Momon thing to where you notice how Mo Man hasn't shown up since um he showed up just to put on that whole show for the people where it's like he was uh confronting Lord Aynes, and he was saying that, oh well, how do I know that you're gonna keep um the people's best interest in mind? Like, hey bro, trust me, I got this. And all right, bro. I'm gonna I'm gonna watch you, I'm watching you now, and then made it sound like oh well, it'll be great to have Momon being uh protecting uh the kingdom while we have Lord Ayn as the ruler of the kingdom, and like uh little did they know they're the same person.
SPEAKER_00:Oh god, and now it's the sorcerer kingdom of Nazareth.
SPEAKER_08:Right now, let's get into season four, where now the sorcery king, Lord Ayn, wanted to unify people and whatnot, but before he do all that, he gotta fight the warrior king in the fucking uh Coliseum, and it turned out to be ah damn, I think you're like was it orc? Uh oh damn.
SPEAKER_00:No, first thing he gotta fight is all that paperwork.
SPEAKER_08:Well, true. He yeah, and also um I I thought it was kind of funny how he had that new drip on with uh golden um golden red, and I'm sending like typical fucking like what's up with these griffindor colors on you, bro?
SPEAKER_00:Hey, hey, hey, hey. You know I'm a gryndore. Um you gryfindor? Hey, come on now. I'm where the brave brave people dwell. I'm a humble. Okay, you like friendship and shit.
SPEAKER_07:The way you said that sounded so mean. Are you sure you're not Slytherin? Dang.
SPEAKER_00:No, I'm not. Oh, you like friendship and shit. I don't know if a Slytherin and I'm witty enough to be a Ravenclaw, but I'm humble enough to be a Gryffindor.
SPEAKER_08:Uh don't, don't, don't come around my club talking about it's all about bravery, man.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I got Kiroto's sword right here next to me. You hear me? I'm I'm about that life. If you need me to slay a dragon, just let me know.
SPEAKER_07:I just feel bad because I feel like you shit in on Hustle Puff, and I don't like that. What did Hustle Puff?
SPEAKER_00:You know what's crazy? I wish now I all of us gotta pass at some time. I I know that, and this is kind of morbid, but like, what if all of us meet up in another world, bro? What if we get Ezeki and we got all our lucid memory, bro? We just meet up and we become OP as fuck.
SPEAKER_07:As long as I have a web perfect, as long as I become Ivy in another life, that's gotta look great.
SPEAKER_05:We can start a party. Wait, wait, we can start a party and call it the zone, bro.
SPEAKER_08:Wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. Remember that power makes us more of ourselves. So I want to believe that could be a thing, but sometimes that power kind of gets in some people's heads, and then they start, you know, doing some wall boys flash wall girl type shit. I don't know. Like, who knows? Like, you know, like that one meme where oh we got we finally got powers, bro. We can be heroes, and then bro is like that ain't my point.
SPEAKER_00:Yo, I just need my three baby mamas, and then you know what I mean? I'm on my I'm on my luck shit. I just want to fight strong people. That's it.
SPEAKER_08:Okay, Tanky Usui.
SPEAKER_00:Uh-uh, my first thing. Right, that's what I was just thinking. I was just thinking that hard.
SPEAKER_07:Okay, all right, sounds strong.
SPEAKER_08:That's it, man. Oh uh, okay, okay. Really? I do remember that in season four, uh Izo Goon and the Kingdom, and uh, you know, the gang used, uh, they have to go up against uh Quagua and eventually the frost giants in this one. And eventually they uh befriend this one dragon uh hydromon, where I'm like, damn, like I'm I'm trying to think uh who he kind of reminds me of a certain dragon where I'm trying to think of this one dragon where he like eyes and whatnot. I want to say he's like something straight out of dragon tail for some reason. He kind of something straight out of dragon tail, but eventually, Aynes was trying to talk to the um dragons, you know, get their treasure. He talked to the dwarves to get their room technology. Like he was really trying to set up where, all right, we can expand, get some more influence, um, encounter new races and territories. Uh, there's this whole complex political landscape within Nazareth and with external entities, and then there was this whole confrontation with the Re-Se Kingdom again, um, where Ains had uh put his strategic acumen to the test after he deals with threatening alliances and whatnot. But uh I I think it's kind of funny how in the end of all that in season four, where okay, we see uh that brain guy finally, well, I won't say finally, like uh you you would think he was on died already, but like he ends up fighting Cocitis, Cocitis makes life work out of him, and decide, you know what, you fought bravely. I'm gonna encase you in ice and just leave you here, and you know, you have a warrior step of some type shit. And I'm trying to think, um what else? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Princess uh Renaire, the little girl, like she pretty much sold out her whole kingdom for Aynes, and where she even became a demon, wanted to get like a seed so that way eventually she can make uh Kwan into a demon, try to uh talk him into it. And then she ended the show with that whole dance number, you know, the singing and whatnot. And I'm sitting there thinking like NJ, we just talked about a podcast diary, how like it ended with Lolan doing a whole dance number for Yeah. I don't know, like I thought it was kind of crazy how like things are kind of ramping up to where I'm not getting all these allies and all this land and whatnot, so the story's going. But um what were your thoughts on season four?
SPEAKER_00:Okay, so season four was a little bit different. Um let's start with the title. Uh I just got a question for y'all first. Do you think I'm a villain or an anti-hero?
SPEAKER_08:I wanna say anti-hero. Like I wanna say anti-hero because like I I don't know. I I feel like he's just not really moving like a traditional villain. It's more like he he kind of reminds me of uh the Green Hornet where he's masquerading as a villain, but ultimately he doing more good than evil. But when you actually get to know him, I'm like, he ain't that bad. Like, I mean, yeah, you gotta like stand on business on certain things, but he ain't really that bad when you get to know him. Okay.
SPEAKER_04:Oh no, that is a villain. That is a villain. He is a straight villain, okay.
SPEAKER_07:What he's like he realizes, it's like he finally realizes, like he finally accepts the fact that he wants this. Like it's like he comes to the conclusion, like, I wanna be dad nigga. I'm decent to be dad nigga. I'm taking over everything. He okay, so I just want to make sure this is not.
SPEAKER_08:No, no, see, I like how no no no hold on hold on. I like how you're saying all this. I like how y'all saying all this, and this got me thinking, like, I might need to reopen the courts because, like, did we not have a nerdy court case with a similar, well, a similar case where it's like, oh well, we did. Yeah, like hold on, like y'all talking like the same way. What was that same energy when y'all was defending Aaron Jaeger? I feel like Aaron's still energy.
SPEAKER_04:I don't know what anybody talks about.
SPEAKER_08:I like how y'all were defending Aaron Yeager for damn the same reason you're persecuting Aynes for.
SPEAKER_05:I don't know what you're talking about. This is different. That was completely different, all right?
SPEAKER_00:They disrespected they you talking about years of suffrage. Them people was racist. Let's go ahead and let's just suffer it for no reason. They put my niggas on the island, my niggas got away from the island and they got mad. Exactly. They trapped them on the island with walls. Let me put this in perspective for you. Take all black people in the world and put them in Africa because leave them alone, they they thrive, and then all of a sudden, you like let's go fuck up Africa. That is what the women when when the king cong of consciousness, Dr. Umar himself come and bring it to the country.
SPEAKER_02:Wait, wait, hold up, that's not the world.
SPEAKER_00:Then all of a sudden it's a problem.
SPEAKER_07:You know, this is why we we couldn't win court cases.
SPEAKER_08:That does sound like uh the premise of um Black Panther, the um first one, where it's like, oh, let's put all the con this one island, leave them all on, they thriving. Next thing you know, oh well, became for your um bugging vibranium.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, all the black people in one area, then everything changed when the white fire nation attacked.
SPEAKER_07:The white nation historically, historically, you ain't wrong. You were so not wrong.
SPEAKER_08:Jesus um the correct term is colonizer, sir.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, you're right, you're right. Oh, colonizer, excuse me. I thought honestly, I thought she was gonna say never mind.
SPEAKER_00:All the airbenders was chilling, they was non-violent, and then the fire nation came. You ain't wrong. Basically, it was just chilling, you know, just playing with the air, just lying around. And all them niggas came because it was a comet. Them niggas wanted to play with some fire, they really buy it. So they are.
SPEAKER_07:No lies. Fire nation really is you know what you're making some solid points.
SPEAKER_00:That's why I'm about to read the red lightning.
SPEAKER_07:Go ahead, because uh we're gonna read the red lightning and we're gonna please Aaron Gay.
SPEAKER_00:I I digress, and then so season four. So season four it's about ons. He got his nation now, but now he gotta run it. Okay, and in order to run it where a nation where all races can coexist, it's important to consider everything, give it some serious thought. But you know, the guardians, they a little extreme, to say the least. Yeah, and then so I tried to take a diplomatic trip to the Dwarven Kingdom, but then you know, he defeated Frost Dragon, and his twins get to see him in action, and then he's feeling himself. So when somebody attack him, it ain't just a war. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now it's time to prove a point, it's extermination time. You know what I mean? He had the whole princess reveal and all that other stuff, but it just proves how utterly devastating and ant-like everybody is compared to Lord Ayn's all gone. Yeah, so he started healing himself and became a villain. That sounds that that's what you just said, yeah. And it ain't even like it ain't even like Ayn's really trying, though. Because if you consider it, how much of this is like Nazareth's success and Ayn's luck, or is it just that his subordinate is so fucking competent?
SPEAKER_07:You know what? They are very competent.
SPEAKER_00:Just picture, for instance, you want to talk to everybody and you don't know what to say, but you got Obama on your team. This nigga your assistant. You ain't gotta do nothing, you can go play your game, bruh.
SPEAKER_08:See that crazy thing like when I just is not in the room and they're talking amongst each other, trying to. Oh well, I wonder what I'm just thinking about with this plan, and it's like, oh, surely he was thinking about this idiot.
SPEAKER_00:Sound like demiurge.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, yeah. I'm like, come on, uh, Lord Imes wouldn't uh just do nothing for no reason, like no, he he says on business, like he doesn't do anything without purpose, so clearly he's going in this direction because he's thinking about all of us. And just picture that, John.
SPEAKER_00:He's like, Hey, you remember when when uh Lord I sneezed last Thursday? That wasn't no ordinary sneeze. See what happened was he was calculating the velocity of the sun, and the sun created the earth, and the earth created the moon, and that's what had happened. Oh, yeah, and then the moon created the stars. That didn't no, that's right. All my nigga did was sneeze.
SPEAKER_08:But that one time when it was like aura and shell tier was all point mentioned, and then essentially, um, was just talking to or like, hey, yeah, you know, I think Shell Tier just needs to uh work on her people skills and whatnot. Like, I need I need her to be able to handle business without doing all that bloodshed, so I need to go out there and make sure that um that's kept to a minimum and whatnot. And then Aura took it to a level to where, like, yes, that's all uh I wanted for you. Like, he was thinking about you, like he doesn't think you're weak or anything, and then it's like uh Aura is putting words in I's mouth now. Hey, you know what? Let her talk. Like that sounds better than what I was gonna say.
SPEAKER_00:And like, look at as you progress through the seasons. I know you progress through the seasons rather fast, but you'll notice Aunz has an emotion suppressor, bear that in mind. So every time you get a strong emotion, he gets guilty, he gets angry, that little green light flare, and then he just becomes wrong. It's because he's an undead. And remember, he was a human portraying the undead, but because of where he is, he's slowly evolving to become one, so he spent more time justifying like his actions than feeling bad about them. And he struggled more in season four with the paperwork than the genocide, like that's crazy. So he's he's a villain. Uh no, he's not a villain. He's a he he ain't a villain.
SPEAKER_08:So let me get this straight. Genocide is bad unless you're fighting free people.
SPEAKER_00:No, genocide is bad unless they deserve it. Did they not deserve it? I don't leave that alone. Did they not deserve it?
SPEAKER_01:I agree that they're who we talk about.
SPEAKER_07:I'm just asking which which which which who deserves genocide?
SPEAKER_00:You know who you know who you talk about. Aries.
SPEAKER_08:No, because I'm singing, like, they burn it. No, no, hold on. Can we flash back to what Hunge said to where I'm like, uh, at what point do we get to a point where genocide at the end, they're like the there should be no excuse for genocide. That's what she said.
SPEAKER_00:Hey, look, all I'm saying is there are no knowns and there are unknown unknowns, things we don't know that we don't know.
SPEAKER_05:Exactly. What he said.
SPEAKER_00:The absence of evidence ain't the evidence for absence. Exactly. Exactly.
SPEAKER_05:I will stand on this field all day. I ain't gonna hold you. I've been standing on it. I don't, I don't dang, my best friend was kind of like, hey man, I don't know. You know, it's like, dang, the friendship off.
SPEAKER_00:So I like season four because of the world building. Um, so the Riestes Kingdom is a complete example of what comes to happen because it's important for the world to know they tried them, bro. They was they was chilling, they was in their little thing, just chilling, they tried them. So the the simp the sim some I can't even talk. The overall message is surrender like the empire, and everything is straight, but you resist, you're gonna cease to exist.
SPEAKER_07:So, okay, Rainer does betray the people, right? Like this is when Rainer, Rainer betrays her people. And this is also one of my favorite scenes. Uh Albedo tortures uh somebody named Phillips, right? Don't she torture somebody?
SPEAKER_08:Wasn't uh I think it was like the uh dude that I was mentioning earlier to where he was trying to hit on Alberto, but wasn't really feeling him. So eventually she just showed him that box with the three heads in it.
SPEAKER_07:Yeah, but um she also she goes real like, and I know she learned it from I because she started being a little bit, you know, messing with his mind. Um, because she told him about his father's last moment.
SPEAKER_08:And I'm like um, I think it was like season two or three, to where you know uh Sebastian, um one of his mates, Solution. Uh-huh. I like how it was Solution to where there was like this one dude who seemed like he he he definitely seemed like super shady. Like I forgot his name. Then again, his name doesn't matter. Uh like this really shady dude that wanted uh crack at solution. But Solution was like, hey, you know what? When we kill him and all his men, uh let me talk to him in private. And I'm like, wait, what? I'm like, yeah, I mean, he was trying to uh get a crack at me, so I'm gonna let him get a taste, just a little taste, and then when it happened, it was like, all right, look, uh, just a little black dude. Yeah, just uh a little uh piece of heaven, and then as soon as he started feeling those titties, and then he's like, wait, no, no, no, what's going on? Like, get away from me, you suck these. Uh just absorbed him into the titties. I was like, what the hell?
SPEAKER_07:I mean, according to some man, that is no better way to go.
SPEAKER_08:So I just damn well, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Smother me by snooze no, I didn't know you were gonna go. I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_05:I forgot about death by snooze no best way to die.
SPEAKER_00:Oh my god. All right, okay.
SPEAKER_08:I mean, uh until the rules are reversed.
SPEAKER_00:Wait, no, the rules are the words, I mean the reverse.
SPEAKER_02:Wait, I don't think yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:Y'all go y'all gonna break my brain because I'm gonna take it real literal.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, future predictions, huh? So aside from season four, season four adapted volumes 10, 11, and 14. So the upcoming movie is gonna adapt volume 12 and 13. Notice that it was skipped over because it's important to know what's gonna happen between. All right. So the movie that's gonna come out soon is Overlord the Sacred Kingdom. All right, and it's already came out.
SPEAKER_08:Did it? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:When did it come out?
SPEAKER_08:Like a one. No, I literally saw it when I was in theaters. No, like, hold on, like, whatever this third movie is, uh, it might be called something else, but Sacred Kingdom been out. Like, hold on, I'll I'll look it up for you.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I thought it was supposed to come out. I ain't watch it.
SPEAKER_08:Okay, last year. It came out last year.
SPEAKER_00:Wow, did I not watch it? Uh yeah, I'm still waiting for it to come out. But anyway, because I read the light novel.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I saw it while scrolling through while I was doing my whole rewatch of it. I saw Dark Hero and Sacred Kingdom, and I'm like, okay, cool, cool, cool. And it seemed like over uh Sacred Kingdom was based off what was happening in um like you said, um filling the gaps in volume 12 and 13. So, and that's um going back into season two. So, yeah, that been out like a year ago.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, well see, let me talk about it then. Uh wait, did y'all watch it?
SPEAKER_08:I mean, I I I forgot. I forgot.
SPEAKER_00:Uh let me just quickly let me just quickly cover that Jal de Bayo, who is low-key demiurge, and the entire invasion is a Nazaret false flag operation, of course, is the same setup as everything else. They go in, pretend they're the villains, then they come in, be the heroes, save the day, and take over the kingdom.
SPEAKER_08:We think about it, they on some uh Emperor Palpatine type shit where he kind of playing both sides.
SPEAKER_00:This is the the whole thing, the whole setup is Demiurge Master Plan. Destroy a nation, have I save it, and then gain a new vassal state that worship him as a god.
SPEAKER_05:I ain't gonna hold you. Genius.
SPEAKER_08:That sounds diabolical, right there. It is a baby.
SPEAKER_05:That's baby material all eight.
SPEAKER_00:So, and then the setup is for season five, which cover volumes 15 and 16. So, I'm not gonna give you spoilers because it's gonna come out like soon, but all I'm gonna tell you is that like after everything that happened in season four, I want the twins, he even said at the end, he wants them to take a vacation, right? And he needed them to make some friends their own age, and they go to the elven kingdom, and shit go down from there, and it it sets up something very nice where Nazarek is just set on a single goal, and that goal is to complete and total annihilation because he finds out who is responsible for mind control, episode one. He's gonna find out who's responsible for mind control on Shell Tier. What? And then from there, the whole season is up. The whole season is up. Oh my god, elves elves gonna be laying down, like you know, it's normal, normal stuff. They're gonna they're gonna have all these characters, they're gonna build them up, they're gonna talk about them, they're gonna be wonderful characters, you're gonna fall in love with them, and then guess what. Yeah, one point man. But yeah, it's it's gonna be a dope season. Season five is full of some great characters that I like, so we get into that. Um, I and I don't really know how to pronounce their names.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I kind of gave up uh on some of them. Like uh what was the emperor's name? Uh jerk name or something like that. Yes, something like that.
SPEAKER_00:I'm like when I'm reading the books, bro. I don't mean knowing how to pronounce names, so I give them nicknames. That's how I remember.
SPEAKER_08:But no, seriously, uh, the emperor he was kind of giving up a little uh some Gilgamesh uh by if you know Gilgamesh from um series. Nah, I ain't I'm gonna get a oh okay, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_07:I know who that is. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_08:You know, you know who I'm talking about, but I want to say for you, I want to say he kind of looks like someone straight out of uh magi for me. Like I don't know, similar with the grip and whatnot. You ever heard of uh the anime magi with um with a ladders? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Magi is it magi or maggie? It depends on you watching cover though. Oh, there you go.
SPEAKER_08:Tomato tomato.
SPEAKER_00:And like um uh the pre the precursor for that, the uh and I can't find it nowhere. The adventures of sinbad, it used to be on Netflix, and now it's not there, and I don't know where it's at. You're gonna have to you're gonna have to look for that at this point. I'll I'm gonna have to look for the one piece. Yeah, pretty much.
SPEAKER_08:But uh yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to look into that because you know what? We should review that at some point. Like, I kinda wanna review it. Like, you know, Coco Gus is gonna jump on that shit.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, shout out to Alibaba. Shout out to Alibaba. Okay.
SPEAKER_08:But uh Alibaba is there anything else about Overlord as a whole that y'all want to talk about? Because uh, I mean, we can still talk about a little bit more, but like, you know, it's getting late in case any of y'all gotta go to work in the morning. I don't wanna hold y'all for too long.
SPEAKER_00:No, I'm good. I talked about everything I want to talk about.
SPEAKER_08:You good? All right, on MJ.
SPEAKER_00:I'm good.
SPEAKER_08:Okay, cool, cool, cool. Reading time. I give Overlord a 9 out of 10. He has talked and likable characters. The story is fairly interesting, kind of lost me here and there, but like I know it's like information heavy, so it's like, okay, you gotta have to like keep up and like really pay attention. But uh some of the action was pretty good, like, like I said, between what Aynes, Aynes versus Clementon, Aynes versus Shout here, some of the fights were pretty good. Uh visually, pretty good. Uh especially some of the comedic moments where I'm like, okay, I like how it has like emotional range here and there. I do like how they try to incorporate video game aspects into the series. Uh, I mean, loosely, but at the same time, they want to make it immersive enough to where it doesn't even feel like it's based on a video game anymore. I I know I mentioned that earlier, but I just really like that part about it where you kind of forget that it's based off a video game. Instead, it's like a real world, and you just kind of like, okay. Yeah. Um the music bangers. I mean, yeah, fairly, fairly good music. Um, yeah, like I enjoyed it for the most part. It it took me a few rewatches. I'm not gonna lie, it took me a few times, but I now see how good it is. To a point where, yeah, I was saying nine out of ten. Yeah. At least nine. Uh, what about you, MJ? Because I I already know what Tosey answer is gonna be.
SPEAKER_00:You don't know my answer. You don't know the answer.
SPEAKER_07:Um we do know the oh, okay. Uh I'm gonna give it a ten. No, I'm joking. It's like an eight for me. Uh it's just not it's not. Do you feel some kind of way? Like, are you? That's a big drop. That's from 100 to an eight.
SPEAKER_08:It's from an A to a big toast in there like how you going reneged on your because it's not, it's not my, it's not particularly my typical.
SPEAKER_07:It ain't mine. It ain't my typical kind of thing, all right? It's a little bit too long at times, it shows a little bit too rushed, and maybe I will enjoy it more if I just read it. So that's probably what I'm gonna do. For so for right now, as the enemy's hands, it is an ace.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I'm gonna be.
SPEAKER_00:You don't have to cuss. How are you gonna tell me what's best for my family, bitch?
SPEAKER_08:It was kind of the opposite for me to where I felt like the pacing was a little slow for me, to where I'm like, I feel like uh wait, man, where's some shit gonna pop off already? Like, come on, dog. Like once again, uh season two. I felt like that first album felt a little too slow for me. I'm like, well, what the fuck is I'm sorry, but like it felt that way to me. I'm sitting there like, man, I'm waiting for some shit to pop off. I'm waiting for eyes to steamroll through this whole army and shit. Like, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00:Y'all need to pick what y'all want. Y'all Z-Lots is so hard to pick these, bruh. On one hand, on one hand, on one hand, you want action, you want adventure, you want comedy, you want slice alive, you want fan service, and then uh all of a sudden, anime of the year, free rent, and ain't got no freaking action, many action series, but it's got a good story, bruh.
SPEAKER_07:So, first of all, I I wasn't down with freedom like that. We gonna sit up, we're gonna sit up here and have a little bit. I was down with like I said, it was boring too.
SPEAKER_00:So then this nigga came out at the same time, all action. How freer get game of the I mean uh anime of the year?
SPEAKER_07:I don't know. I'll be honest with you, I don't know. Everybody got sentimental over that anime, but that's how they felt it wasn't hard and no action, it was mostly talking dialogue.
SPEAKER_08:I'm gonna be honest with you, as someone who reviewed Freerin. It's good, but I don't know about giving it anime of the year. I I I would say it's one of the best of that year, but I won't say anime of the year. I don't know. You know what it felt like? What was that?
SPEAKER_07:It felt like one of those artsy kinds, you know, like the Sundance fan film festival kind of things where they give it to somebody who just did a really artsy one. That's what it felt like.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I yeah. It kind of did have that uh artsy vibe to it where it felt more like uh the perspective of free run, you know, being uh this elf that has a different sense of time than everybody else. So it's almost like uh, you know, it's one of those things where it felt more like, oh, well, you know, this is the life of a thousand-year-old adventurer who is trying to understand the complexities of humanity. And yeah, let's give that the award.
SPEAKER_00:Let us go back in time. I want to tell you why this is overlord deserves an 11 out of 10. Okay, okay. I was a young tuck, I was narrow, I was narrow a professor. I was still on my quest to find my niche and become a professor. And I was watching a show, it was called Log Horizon. I'm trying to tell you. And Log Horizon really got me into the politics of anime and how you can focus and build, how adventurers can build and become characters. I was also watching um damn, what's the name of that joint with Rimaru Tempest?
SPEAKER_08:Uh yeah, Reincarnation.
SPEAKER_00:I was also watching that at the same time. Both shows concluded and I was lost. I had nothing to watch. And then my friend said, Hey, you should watch Overlord. I played it. I instantly knew. I instantly knew that this was the one. I instantly knew because I fell in love with the character. I fell in love with being re-incarnated. It's not a reincarnation per se. Just motherfucker trapped in the game on some on some um one of my favorite shows type stuff, Sword Art Online, Log Horizon, all of that in the same sentiment. So I was like, bro, and then once you give overwhelming power of a mage and a warrior, bro, bar none, this is dope. I would only compare this to Log Horizon. That's the only other thing you can compare it to. It ain't even comparable to Sword Art Online because that's more of a ROM um ROM adventure.
SPEAKER_08:Well, think about like this tough because the series isn't concluded. I mean, is the manga concluded? I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00:Is it the light novels um almost concluded? Just about.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, see, so the story's not even done yet. So I'm like, right now, my nine is like, okay, to be fair, that's a high compliment for a series that's not concluded yet. See, if it was concluded, then I was like, okay, my answer would be more definite. If anything, it's more like I'm just leaving room for like, okay, once I see like this hypothetical season five, or if I devolved to dive into the light knobs or whatnot, okay. I'm reading all this, I'm really paying attention to the story and all that. My score might go up if I like what I see beyond what happened in season four, but it might decrease if the ending makes it makes the whole thing more. Like once again, I agree. Let's let's not have any repeats of seven deadly sins where first two seasons was where it really gasped, but then by the time it got to the third season and beyond, it's like the animation got a little um weird and the lot got convoluted to a point where I'm like, what the fuck is all this shit going on?
SPEAKER_00:I agree with a 90, but not an 80. That's damn near a C. A 79, and you in C status.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah, I'll give it a 9 because it definitely has some sauce to it. Like, I was like, ooh, I really want to like y'all, but like I feel like it's not there yet. Like, it's the same thing with um Dandeman and um Kaiju number eight, to where it's like I like the direction y'all are going, and I really want to like y'all, but like y'all need to get to a point to where it's kind of like um blue exorcist all over again to where okay, uh first season, pretty good, second and third season, eh, whatever. But then season four, ooh, okay, now y'all getting somewhere. See, I I need y'all to get there to where I'm like, oh, now y'all got me hooked in. Now I'm locked in for real. Like I had to fight my way through season two, not gonna lie, and then by the time I got to season three, I'm like, okay, this is nice, and then season four. Now I'm locked in because now I'm trying to see where the hell all is going with uh Renee B becoming a demon, and now uh there was uh this one guy, uh Riku, uh, you know, with the armor and whatnot. I I kind of want to see him again. I I kind of want to see how all this other shit played out, but right now it's like dang, my final score is still uh the jury's still out on my final score. But I want to say for now it deserves at least a nine out of ten.
SPEAKER_00:I'm with that. I'll I'm with that. Yeah, that's all I'm saying.
SPEAKER_07:You know, y'all are so nice. Okay. It's just I appreciate everything. Everything great. Um, it's just it's a personal thing for me. I may enjoy reading it more. That change that has changed my opinion on some shows. Like solo leveling would not be great if I had not read it. I'm gonna be so honest with you.
SPEAKER_00:If I had not read it, no, Colonel Sanders, you wrong. Mama's wrong.
SPEAKER_08:You know, let's close this fucking chat. Thank you for listening to us we are. Go ahead and have yourself good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. Uh, thank you for being on the show with me. We're gonna go ahead and close this one out. We're gonna zone up out of here.
