Sentai Red Isekai: The Power of Friendship and Kizuna Beasts in a New World
We dive into Sentai Red Isekai, a unique anime that transports a Power Ranger to a fantasy world where his transformation powers baffle local magic users. The series blends tokusatsu action with isekai adventure, creating something fresh yet nostalgic.
• Togo Asagaki (Red Ranger) gets transported to another world while fighting a villain
• He joins forces with sorceress Yidra, Princess Teltina, and knight Lo-G
• His "bond energy" powers and ability to summon mecha make no sense to magic users
• Episode 7 introduces Rania, an elf with Kamen Rider-inspired transformation abilities
• The show functions as a loving parody of Super Sentai and other tokusatsu franchises
• Though initially seeming formulaic, the show finds its footing around episode 4
• Numerous references to Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, and other tokusatsu properties
• The series builds toward a confrontation with a demon queen
• Character development adds surprising depth to what could be a one-note concept
• Strong potential for a second season that could introduce more tokusatsu elements

Red Ranger becomes an adventurer in another world, also known as Sentai Red Isekai, leading a Sentai team on Earth. Togo Asagaki has the ability to change the world, unintentionally, gets warped into a fantastical world while facing off against the super villain, breakup King. Unable to find a way home, he joins the forces with the sorceress Yidra Arvon, who wants to prove herself and restore her family. Honor Princess Teltina, liz Guadalquivir Alvarez, who claims to stop demon seeds from possessing people, and Lo-g. Missed Princess tells Tina's bodyguard, who is enamored of her and envious of Togo for upstaging him and appearing to grow close to her. Togo frequently frustrates or amazes people because he lacks subtlety and common sense and is unable to hold back in battle, and frequently vaporizes monsters, preventing his comrades from selling their body parts on siri. And additionally, his transformation powers and weapons and ability to summon a mecha are not magical in nature and makes no sense to magic users. Now here's my thing. Togo is your typical protagonist that's big on the power of friendship, but once you get to know him, you'll see that he's not as one-dimensional as you and I may have initially thought you know. Between biological parents fighting with his adopted brother, fear of being alone, he's black Idra. She's this well endowed mage that has the most realistic perspective on Red's logic and range of powers. Despite his eccentric behavior, she catches feelings for him, as Idra has a dream that Red supports with full passion. Were Red and Idra bonding in episode 6 With full passion? And um, were Red and Yidra Bonding in episode 6. I understand doing it For the sake of developing a new technique, but if so I'm kind of surprised and impressed Like damn that soon. So Tina, she's a princess that tends to be as optimistic as Red and she tends to be very supportive and direct about how she loves Red and Yidra's bond, developing Low-G, like I said before, a knight in the service of Teltina, very loyal to the princess but also quite antagonizing to Red, even envious. His sword is very interesting, having different forms and powers.
Speaker 1:Later on we get introduced to Rania, who is this elf from the Sunforge whose involvement spiced things up, with her having similar abilities to Red, but Egyptian thing. It's more like a common rite. It's not like powering, but more like a common rite. Her people prophesied the arrival of Kizuna Red and immediately treated him like a god. Rania used to wear masks to hide her timid nature, but after befriending Azir she only wears a mask when it's in her transformed state.
Speaker 1:You do get a good amount of screen time with kizuna blue, green, yellow, pink, even silver, and later the adopted brother becomes kizuna white somehow. I hope to see more of them. Breast and peace silver. The story kind of goes down the defeat the demon king trope. Well, I can't complain this time around because it's a demon queen this time. Okay. Okay, I had I had questions about the implications of red having access to the kizuna beast and the power grid, but that was answered in episode 12.
Speaker 1:The opening theme song goes kind of hard. The dialogue varies from cheesy to genuinely hilarious, but of course, as a power ranger fan, I'm all for it. The design for the kizuna 5 and the kizuna beats are pretty decent. The show is fairly entertaining while retaining that Super Sentai energy between the drama subplots and the monster of the wheat formula. Like, seriously, miffy Mouse has a relationship with Ender Monster For real. It doesn't help that Disney is developing that new power of the show, either a new power of this show, either. I am really looking forward to a hypothetical second season expanding on these developments, even though it wasn't announced yet. But the way things left off, I'm really hoping for a season two. Right now I'm giving it an 8.5 out of 10. Alright, kokugatsu and Talos Gundam. Let's see how y'all feel about Sentai Red Isekai. Let's start it off with Kokugatsu. How you feeling about it.
Speaker 2:Man, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. I'm not gonna lie to you. In the first two, three episodes I wasn't sure if this was going to be the show for me.
Speaker 1:I was honestly thinking the first two episodes kind of like cookie cutter, copy paste type shit, but then the more developed I was like, oh yeah, okay, I can see the sauce now.
Speaker 2:But you know how I am. For me it's a three. I like to do three episodes before I really cut something off type of thing, but you had invited me to do this podcast, so, on a normal situation this is a weird thing into this. On the third episode, I was like I don't know what this is gonna be. For me, though, like, aside from the fact I'm like okay, I get the general idea of what the story's supposed to be, he's a kind of another world.
Speaker 2:His power is based on friendship they call it bonds and I'm like, okay, yeah, but there was nothing that absolutely grasped my attention, at least until episode four. Episode four is when it finally started really getting my attention, because at first I'm just sitting here like, okay, I mean, clearly she loves him and you know what's gonna happen. They journey into the dungeon. Oh, okay, now we actually have an actual like big boss character that is difficult to fight. Red range was getting his red, was getting his ass whooped, and I'm like, okay, now it feels like it's about to do something. Now it feels like there's something that's really happening. The jokes were actually too corny to me, and this is one of the weird ones, because I'm sitting here.
Speaker 1:Like I love Power Rangers as a kid, that's the thing I was thinking, the same thing. I'm like, bro, this dialogue is corny as fuck. But a Power Rangers fan, this is nothing new, so I can't complain.
Speaker 2:Right. And so I love Power Rangers, I love fucking Voltron, because it's a mix of both of those Like I love that there's elements into both of those moments, and so I'm just like, yeah, I get my Power Rangers, but I'm also feeling Voltron vibes. I'm feeling like I'm feeling some really good, I can feel some good stuff into it. But yeah, it was just, it was too corny. Like this is one of those ones I'm just like okay, just like when with Duke Nukem, duke Nukem Forever and shit, when that came out, it came out years too late. It was like you putting 80s corny jokes into like the 2020s era. And we're like this, we way past these crude jokes. These ain't. This is not funny anymore. This is now just okay. That's just plain disgusting. I'm not really here for that type of thing. Like you know, you gotta grow with the program type. So I wasn't sure, like maybe talos might explain a little bit more.
Speaker 2:As far as into the manga, maybe the manga is older. If it's not older, then maybe just the. Maybe the mangaka he's like a big, he was a big fan of like kind of the older jokes and stuff. It's just, it took a minute for me. It took a real hot minute for me to really like say, oh, I'm into this, oh, I can watch this, oh, I got this type of thing you want to know what the crazy thing is like nowadays.
Speaker 1:I'm to a point where you know like netflix kind of spoiled me on this one, where, like I wait until the whole season's done to go ahead and like immerse myself into it, like I usually say, and really I want to say I was ready to be like oh man, like don't tell me it's like OK, it has something going, but like it wasn't all that special up until I saw a fucking screenshot of keys in a block and I was like, excuse me, keys in a black, and I was like whoa, what's going on here?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so it takes a minute. So so this one it does take a little bit more building and I don't know, like I said tells me I have more insight into this one. I do because I'm I'm really starting to get more into reading manga right now. Like I read a manga right now called ultimate exorcist and shit. That shit's fucking fantastic as hell. But anyway, um, I'm really starting to get back into reading manga again because it's become a little bit more difficult for me watching anime as much now, and so it's like I haven't picked up Red Ranger Yusaka as far as the manga per se. I've only picked it up as just the anime itself. So mostly most of my references and things that I got is just strictly onto that one. But this one takes a little bit more of a build up.
Speaker 2:I don't know if that's a manga as well or if that's just anime. If that's just anime, come on right, stick with the program. It's already pre-written. Just stick with the formula that's given. Stop changing up shit, because this was one that I was not sure if I was going to continue, and that's a sad one for me, because I do enjoy it. I'm not going to give this a high rating per se, honestly. But this is one of those ones of just like once you get past that slow buildup, it is enjoyable. The jokes do start getting better. After episode four Things are a little bit better into it. I do like how we finally start getting references back. There's a hell of a lot of damn flashbacks. In this sense there's almost as much flashbacks as that one Friday anime that we had reviewed that long ago when I almost felt like is the entire anime about to be flashbacks? Are we going to continue the story Right?
Speaker 1:right right.
Speaker 2:I was like trying to remember which one was that.
Speaker 1:Right, right right.
Speaker 2:So are we going to continue the story or are we going to be just a flashback, central right now, like what's about to happen? But I do like some of the flashbacks that do continue the story.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like if it was like, okay, give us a little bit of he's in a blue, green, yellow, pink and what they had going on before he got this place into this other world, and I'm like, okay, that's fine, like a little backstory, especially in the first season. That's fair, right, because I want to feel something for these characters, um, like kind of in the beginning, so that way it's like, okay, it's not like you put this character late into the story and you expect me to care about this person If anything goes wrong. I'm going to. He's like a throwaway character. It's like you introduced him too late. It's like I don't know. So I'm like, okay. And, by the way, episode 12, I like how, when I was watching the whole thing, I was asking this one question If he can summon the keys and the beasts, do the other rangers know that they're being transported to?
Speaker 1:the world but episode 12, they actually go into that and it's like, oh, I see that these I mean all the relationships and the monsters are all gone, everything's all cool now I see that these I mean all the relationship and the monsters are all gone, like everything's all cool now, but these, he's gonna be disappearing and coming back, like what's going on? And they were like, oh okay, I get it now. Togo must still be alive somewhere, so we need to go on link up with him.
Speaker 2:That part and look the whole, also the whole thing about his whole brother backstory thing. I felt bad until, like, they all clarified that point of like oh okay, uh, so he just kept coming back as bond killer, bond killer, the bonds yeah, that kind of I'm like what 13 times really dope really, yeah, that point, that point I no.
Speaker 3:Longer get.
Speaker 2:Sorry isn't linear, but bro yeah, I no longer felt sorry for what I do anymore. I was sitting at this point now you you kind of asking for it. You just don't want to trust nobody. And then he shows up and he's like oh yeah, I'm a new Kazuna Ranger and stuff. Now I'm like can y'all really trust this dude? Apparently, his emotions get to him all the time.
Speaker 1:Hey, tommy Oliver. Remember how he started out as a Ranger and they were like no, I'll give them a chance. And I like how we're going to talk about it in Dino Thunder anyways, but I like how, with Trent Mercer and Dino Thunder, it was like oh well, do you think you can trust this dude when he's giving the smoke and like talking over, like oh come on, dog, sometimes you got to give people a chance, but trust me, I've been in that same position yeah, so, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2:So I don't know it was one of those ones into it, but it's like I feel bad because they have so much character building that they do, and then it's like they destroy it themselves with the cruel joke. And I'm sitting here like why not let it build a little bit longer before throwing in a little joke like this type of thing. Like that it just doesn't feel like this is a serious moment anymore and I feel bad in that Because I'm like I want this to stay serious. I want this to be like this is a serious moment. This is that moment that you're really building up. All this is very important. And then it's like it just feels like they kept taking it away every single time and I'm like why would you keep doing that? Let it settle for just a little bit. That's why I said I can't really give this a high rating.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was an episode where things get really emotionally tense. Things got really heated in the argument and instead of the usual outro, the credits just roll in between the conversation and by the end of the conversation they just leave it there. You just got Stu on it. It's like God damn, you don't even get the regular outro on this. No, no, no, you sit on this moment.
Speaker 2:I like shit like that let it build, let us let us get a feel for what's happening, let us kind of know, okay, this is what's happening, this is what we're doing, and then I'm like, okay, so here's the thing into it. If it's a, if it's a straight up comedy series, a straight up comedy series, this comedy has got some serious moments into it. I get that. I love gintama.
Speaker 2:Gintama does that like fantastically, and it lets you know from the beginning that this, don't take this too seriously. You're gonna have moments that's gonna look extremely serious and we're gonna throw a joke at you. It's gonna throw you off and you're like, oh okay, it did tell me at the beginning, this is how it is. So I'm like I get that type of thing, but this one, I'm not sure I'm feeling confused a little bit. Like I'm still enjoying it, but I'm kind of confused because anytime it feels like it's something that's too serious, there's another throat, there's another little joke that's thrown in and I'm like it feels like a time and place kind of thing, to where it's like sometimes you gotta let some episode just be purely comedic and some episodes be like really serious.
Speaker 1:It can be both sometimes, but like don't do it at the most critical point, to where it's like, okay, yeah, uh, there's like a major plot point and then you just kind of ruin the tension of it with a joke that comes off kind of corny and awkward. But I don't know, that's just me. So, yeah, I mean, that's just kind of someny and awkward, but I don't know, that's just me.
Speaker 2:So yeah, I mean, that's just kind of some of my little points that I have into it. Any other things really into it? I like how there's little references to different things. Like you know, you have some of the villains that are based. Their designs is based off of different characters. Like I caught one of them. That's like that's straight up Jotaro from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Speaker 1:Nah, I was really losing my shit when I saw that one relationship in their Mippy Mouse and I'm sitting there like y'all really went there Okay.
Speaker 2:No, I would not get over the fact that Blue so look. I love the fact that we can have different color ranges being the leader. That's not something we see that often. That's really a good thing that you can kind of see that. I like how even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles changed that at one point a few years back. It was like their sixth remake. At their sixth remake they wound up doing it to where Raph was actually the leader instead of Leonardo, and it worked out so much better. It actually worked out pretty well with Leo not being bleeder. He didn't have to be the leader every single time and it was like we can give a chance.
Speaker 2:Crazy how that works when I'm in charge that part and yes, it was like it actually does work out, type of thing, and so what was up and up? I'm sorry. I'm mostly thinking about this because you know we're supposed to be reviewing Power Rangers' phase coming up soon and we'll talk about this based on Rangers, sentai Warriors and they had a crossover with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Speaker 1:But anyway, we got to do the Ranger in like 12 weeks.
Speaker 2:True, true. So yeah, man, it's like there's a couple of things points into it, there's a couple of little things. I'm just like, ok, I can kind of see how this goes. Let me, I am going to continue, but I can't be like, oh, I'm highly recommending this. I don't know about all that. Like I, I would definitely love it, love it, but I'm not gonna say, oh, I highly recommend this thing. I highly recommend this is really fantastic. I can't quite say that, to be honest with you. Um, there's a good bit of references. It is still enjoyable. Definitely still continue watching it.
Speaker 2:I love how the fact that the understanding, his power system is not magic, not mana whatsoever, is very different, and so they're still kind of confused about that and it's like, how is this supposed to work out? Um being able to mix and now unlocking a new part of their kazuna beast. Um being able to have the wand that converts their bond energy into mana so they can produce more of their magical powers. That's pretty cool. I love that they were able to work that out type of thing. Kazuna Black cool. Now, my favorite character has to be old girl that became a Tim. I'm just being honest with you.
Speaker 1:The elves.
Speaker 2:I love the elves, damn Renia.
Speaker 2:Renia, I also the elves Damn and I'm definitely peeping Yep, and then I also peeped the fact that the first elf we get introduced to looks exactly like Bobobo, dark skinned afro type. I was like, nah, that says you really pulled out the stops into that one. But okay, okay, bobobo's Bizarre Adventure we good, I got you. You really pulled out the stops into that one. But okay, okay, bobo's bizarre adventure we good, I got you. But for the most part, even going through, I was really thinking that I was going to have a whole lot more references, like I was excited, but surprisingly not as much. But that's kind of how I have and my rating. I give it a 6.5 out of 10 and with that I want to hear what katala's got to say yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 1:We kept you waiting long enough.
Speaker 3:First and foremost, what's up? Secondly, I've listened to both of you and I'm going to say it like it is for shame, for shame on you, for shame on you both. If you are Power Rangers fans, then you know exactly what it is and that's the reason why I'm going to simply sit here and say, for shame. That aside, that aside now, like I told you both way before now, hey, if y'all got any questions, hold them till now, because I wanted you to get them out here. And here's why, first and foremost, for anybody who is a Ranger fan or not even a Ranger fan, if you are a Sentai fan, then you know Sentai does parody. This is a Sentai parody.
Speaker 3:Sentai parodies are never serious. They can't stay serious. They're going to have serious aspects, but they cannot stay serious because the point of them is to be a joke. That aside, with them being a joke, they are the strongest, and I do mean literally the strongest. It's the reason why, in episode eight with Bond Killer, you see, they made reference to every single ranger. There was Everybody that they showed, all the people that were around in the background, those people that were talking to each other and Bonten was taking their bonds and breaking them and stuff of that nature. And literally all of them were rangers. Every last one of them was an actual Sentai ranger. They literally, because of this kind of made rangers or Sentai in particular, canon to the universe, to the mecha that showed up in episode 8.
Speaker 3:I love it, but if you don't know who the fuck that was, ladies and gentlemen, you need to go look, go, look, realize, because that fucking Mecca is one of the ones that I tell folks is the reason as to why a lot of shit won't beat Mecca. There's a lot of things out there that cannot beat Mecca's, and that's one of the reasons why Because when you throw stuff up against something like that that can literally stomp out space time and stomp out your normal thought processes of yeah, you don't mess with it, you don't mess with it. That aside, once again, before I continue, we're going to start with Kokugatsu, kokugatsu, your questions. What did you have as any questions?
Speaker 3:I want to hear this first Because, legit, legit, I want to do this in this manner so that way, when people actually go to look at this, they will understand this Coming from a person who has done the deep, deep dive, and that way, if there's any questions Out there. When they listen and these are some of the same questions hey, y'all can answer them. So, kogodashi, I'm going to start with you first. Any questions that you have Pertaining to this. Kai, I was listening a little bit as I moved around in the background. You were saying that you wanted some explanation on.
Speaker 2:And thank you for that. So we're taking it too seriously, is my understanding we.
Speaker 3:Yes, because this is not serious sentai. This is definitely not serious sentai.
Speaker 1:I mean I said in the beginning where I was like, yeah, it's kind of a little corny, but I can't complain. It's like it's nothing new. Sometimes I just prefer it like that. Sometimes just one episode. It's kind of like how I felt about Dan to Dan to where episode 7, where it's like, oh shit, this is a really serious episode. Then it gets right back into the goofiness. I'm like, okay, I like surprises like that, that's all this is an outside whole parody.
Speaker 3:It's not something that you take even remotely serious. What you watch it for as such, even with it, as with most centaur, what you're watching it for, you're watching it for the as and I'm going to use this and folks are going to be mad Fellas you're watching it for the action. That's the plot for you. You're watching it for the action. You're not watching it for the action. That's the plot for you. You're watching it for the action. You're not watching it for the storyline, even though I'm going to say, for the most part, watching it for the storyline is still fun. It's very much still fun, but you're watching it for the action.
Speaker 2:Okay, I'm fine with that.
Speaker 3:All right, your next question. Any other questions Before I kick off into one of my favorite parts about this, I don't think I have any.
Speaker 2:I'm just ready to hear what you got to say.
Speaker 3:Okay, jet Black, you got any questions about it?
Speaker 1:Honestly, the only question I had was already answered by episode 12, where I was like how come the Kizuna Beasts keep getting Stunned and whatever? Okay, episode 12 Answered that.
Speaker 3:Okay, I don't really know Most definitely, and that is something that would happen Even in regular Power Rangers In America, in Power Rangers or in Sentai period and this Is something that is known, they will One ranger is strong enough To bring all of them together, and it's typically the one that's always the leader. So typically one can summon All of them, but you have to have a strong enough will to summon all of them. Now, that aside, not every ranger is able to bring them all together Like that. Not every ranger is able to bring them all together. So, with that aside, ladies and gentlemen, let me get y'all with something real quick. A lot of y'all ain't gonna realize, right?
Speaker 3:This is a parody of not just Sentai. This is a parody of Power Rangers in general, because, yes, they well not even just Power Rangers. They took Power Rangers Kamen Rider we have not seen the Ultraman parody part in here. It's basically a parody of all Tokusatsu, almost. We have not really seen it. It's somewhat of a parody with Garo, but not too much. However, I'm going to say it like it is, because for some of you you should have realized that they made the references toward Tommy.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:No, that's what I was saying. Yeah, when they made the references toward Tommy, you should have realized oh yeah, oh shit, yes, they did that on purpose, they did that on purpose. That aside, that's it. Oh, sorry, that aside, one of the more major parts that I loved that I really really loved was episode like I said episode. I believe it was episode like I said episode. I believe it was episode 7.
Speaker 3:Episode7, where they introduced I want to make sure I pronounce her name right Renia, where she turns into a Kamen Rider, because the Egyptian armor that she has on is based off Kamen Rider, because the Egyptian armor that she has on Is based off Kamen Rider. If y'all didn't notice, the rider kick that she literally uses as a finisher, so her thing is based off of. In particular, it's based off of Kamen Rider O's. So if y'all do that I have not seen Kamen Rider. You want to get interested in it. That was one of the major things. Go look up Kamen Rider O's. Most definitely, welcome back, kokugatsu. As I was saying, oh, one of my favorite episodes is episode 7, and I told about the, the elf in question, who literally used the Egyptian thing. She's based off of Kamariders and the Kamarida in question is Kamarida Oates.
Speaker 2:I did kind of Get that feel that Kamarida Wanted to introduce a different type of System and I was like she don't feel like an actual ranger. That's probably why she's my favorite.
Speaker 1:Even I noticed that they're not definitely from Power Rangers, because otherwise the whole visor and whatnot would have been completely different. I was thinking like Kamen Rider or something like that.
Speaker 3:Yes, so she is a Kamen Rider. She's based off of Kamen Rider O's, in particular Because of her belt, because O's is the one that used metals.
Speaker 2:Gotcha. No wonder I'm starting to have D&D flashbacks to O's.
Speaker 3:Yes, yes, you should, you should. It's going to get worse in a minute. Of course, it is Outside of episode 7 being one of my favorites episode 12, when he turns into Kizuna black now with, well, episode 11 and episode 12 actually, yeah, um, so with that, I do want, I do want y'all to understand what that reference is. Now, it's entire reference itself. It is a Kamen Rider reference. Again. That is that point in life where or should I say that point in the quote unquote episode, where that is the point where, literally, how can I put it? You will see a camaraderie, get, they've gotten beaten a good couple of times, and so, once they've gotten beat a good couple of times, they're going to decide to go quote unquote all out.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like berserk, to go quote, unquote all out. Yeah, like Berserk, like the Berserk mode.
Speaker 3:I'm going to say it's technically worse than the Berserk mode, because it's not Berserk.
Speaker 1:It's more like it's fueled on pure hatred.
Speaker 3:It looks like Berserk. It looks like Berserk, it looks like a Berserk mode, and that's how most people classify it. But in the case of a lot of riders it's different. That's the reason why I say it's a little bit different. It's a little more complex than that. It's that mode of. With some riders it's just alright.
Speaker 3:I knew there was a limiter to this and I'm just going to take it off. I'm about to quote unquote I'm ripping the band-aid off In this sense, for since I ripped, it's like yeah, I'm ripping the band-aid off. In some cases with them, it is a I don't care anymore, I'm going to be just like the bad guys, because there are some that, as writers, when they get to that point of using a stronger mode, they don't care, they're done caring. They're like nah, we're wiping everything out. For the sake of peace, for the sake of my peace, for the sake of my people, I'm wiping everything out, and that's literally what kizuna black is now. Is it supposed to be that? No, the reason being that kizuna black does that to any other ranger other than the one they're supposed to be, is that and I say that again spoilers?
Speaker 3:Spoilers for any and everybody, because I know y'all have not. I know y'all probably ain't put two and two together. If you have watched this and you watched episode 12, as you should have seen, there is a black ranger that's his brother. That is Bond Killer. That's the reason why it was made for that, and the reason why they call him Bond Killer Is in reference to Abare Killer From Abare Ranger or, for those of y'all that don't know, the white Dino Ranger from Dino Thunder.
Speaker 2:Look at that, you're just talking about Dino Thunder. Look at that, you're just talking about. Dino Thunder JB. I see.
Speaker 3:He is, he's supposed to be and, like I said he's supposed to be. Just, I'm not as I said Bonico is supposed to be like. So this super extreme like, okay, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad. I got a good person in me, but I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad. I got a good person in me, but I'm bad. I'm going to go At y'all, no matter what. That's how it's supposed to be. But they made him a Morpher to Control that. They made him A morpher to control that Kizuna, the Kizuna Black band, is supposed to go to him On anybody else. It takes your, it takes what you fear and love most and maxes that out. That's why red literally went into the kind of kind of rage that he did. And I kid y'all not. This is another reason that's I will tell folks I'm not even going to tell you today to read a book, I'm not going to tell you to go and read the manga. If you want to read this manga, read the manga.
Speaker 3:What I am about to promote is a whole lot different. I'm going to tell y'all up front ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, you can get Tubi. Tubi is free, ladies and gentlemen. And the reason why I'm promoting 2B because it has every Power Rangers and has a majority of Kamen Riders. Please go watch it, pick them up. Pick one of them up. Matter of fact, I'm going to tell you one to start with that you might like Gates Kamen Rider. Gates Gates is on there. I know Kiva is on there. I believe Oz is on there. I'm telling y'all go watch why? Because then you'll see what I'm about to talk about. Because understand people, when these folks get mad and get into that mode, you can't beat them.
Speaker 3:There's a reason as to why it is said that Kamen Riders are so powerful. Sentai can't stop them unless they bring in their Zords, and even then it's a bit iffy. It just gets them in a 50-50% chance. Power Rangers can't beat them regardless. Note what I said, ladies and gentlemen, and yes, I'm talking about some of y'all's favorite All time. That includes Tommy. Tommy is the only one that has gotten close enough to be strong To maybe rival his Sentai counterparts, because he became a Morphin Max. Do you mean Tommy or do you mean Lord Dragon? No, I mean Tommy. Not even Lord Dragon Dragon. No, I mean Tommy. Not even Lord Dragon. Dragon is, don't get me wrong, dragon's fun, dragon's powerful, but Dragon ain't strong enough.
Speaker 3:All I got to do is say one name Decade, common Rider, decade. Decade will mop that nigga from one room to the next. Why? Because Decade don't care. Decade will mop that nigga from one room to the next. Why? Because Decade don't care. Decade was the first rider to not care, even when he was just in base form. Decade did not care Because, as he said, I'm just a rider passing. Decade stands up to the likes of the only other ranger that's like that at the current moment, which is Captain Marvelous, or Marvelous Sama, and Marvelous is from Gokaiger. For those of you who don't know what Gokaiger is, um, it is a super megaforce over here, uh, but super megaforce over here in Megaforce, in super megaforce, over here in Megaforce, in Super Megaforce. They didn't do them justice, gokaiger was a lot different.
Speaker 3:Gokaiger whooped ass. Pirates, they whooped ass, they did not scare they literally were pirates.
Speaker 3:They acted like pirates, but besides the point like I said, when a Kamen Rider gets into that stage of, hey, I'm about to, just, I'm about to spaz, oh, please pray, you're on their side. Even then, if you're on their side, you might want to stand back a little ways, little ways. In the case of one Kamen Rider who I keep talking about, oz, his quote-unquote enraged form is Puto Terano, or, as the full name is, puto Terano Saru, which is the Pterodactyl Medal, triceratops medal and the Tyrannosaurus medal. They're purple. When he goes into that mode, that form is Ooh, he couldn't control that. That form was so almost a one-shot for everything he fought. He was enraged, he was enraged, he was enraged, he was mad, he did not care. That aside, going back to the comparison of real quick Kizuna Black, kizuna Black literally was a hurt being that, if he can ever channel his hurt and whatnot, that's gonna be a. That's gonna be a bad man, that's gonna be a bad man.
Speaker 3:I'm not gonna spoil it and tell y'all what happens after, but I do want y'all to understand. Uh, I would love to get a second season of this animated, because there's a lot that y'all don't know that I would love for y'all to see. If y'all don't read, there's a lot that y'all don't know, and I'm going to say it like it is. Pick it up, read them. This is from Square Enix, by the way, folks. Okay, this is from Square Enix. This whole anime here is from this anime, and this manga is from Square Enix.
Speaker 2:Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3:That clears up a lot. There's nine volumes out. It started in April 12, 2021. So just yesterday, what Yesterday? Was the 12th. So it'll be about six years old right now. It'll be about six years old right now If we're going to be. If I'm looking at it correctly, let me see 2021.
Speaker 2:You said from 2021? Let me see 2021.
Speaker 3:So it's about five, six years old, if I'm. Let me see 2021. So about 5, 6 years old, if I'm right. Yeah, 2021, about 5, 6 years old.
Speaker 2:If it's 2021, that'd be 4?. Am I Hold on? Am I mad bro?
Speaker 3:No, because let me see 2021, 22, 23, 24, 25. Because I'm counting from its conception. That's why I say so'll be about four or five years old, if I'm right. Yeah, five years old, yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, because, looking at the Japanese release date, yeah, so it was first released April 12th. It has nine volumes out. Its most recent one came out March 12th 2025. So recent one came out March 12th 2025. So I can expect, if it goes on track with the way that it typically does, I can look for a second volume here this year. I'll say maybe around November. I would say maybe around, maybe around November, maybe around November of this year. So therein lies that.
Speaker 3:Okay, outside of that, and I do say again, outside of that, this is an anime that I recommend to people. If you want to see what a parody looks like for Sentai without having to go and look for the other parody because I forget the name of it. But there is an actual parody for Sentai. It's a three-man squad. They are pretty funny. Don't get me wrong. They goofy. They goofier than all. Get out. They goofy. But I typically don't recommend that parody to nobody because it's not canon. It's not really canon. They're canon, but they're not canon, if you will Gotcha. So this right here, as far as it goes, they are. You know this is fun. I'm going to be real with you, it's fun. So I say to everybody check it out, most definitely. I'm going to be real with you, it's fun. I say to everybody.
Speaker 2:check it out, Most definitely. I'm going to be honest with you. It feels like you told us not to take it too seriously and then went into a very serious conversation about this.
Speaker 3:I told you don't take this serious because it's not meant to be taken serious. But if you want serious stuff, that's very much so similar, that's what I gave. Go to common common rider is the more serious stuff. Don't get me wrong. They do have aspects of it, which is part of the storyline, which, once again, that's with any k drama, c drama, j drama, because, once again, common riders typically can fall under J-dramas, so they have serious aspects to them too. So if you like that type of stuff within that manner, yes. But if you're not going to like it, then this is not for you. But that's why I said if you're going to watch it, excuse me, understand that this is not to be taken. But that's why I said If you're gonna watch it, excuse me, understand that this is not to be taken serious. You're supposed to have fun with it. Enjoy the fights. That's the main part about this. Enjoy the fights. The fight scenes are what really Is the fun part about this.
Speaker 2:Gotcha.
Speaker 1:Gotcha.
Speaker 2:Well, if we're gonna to break down characters, I will say the only other thing into this would be I felt bad for Old Girl who Died, the white ranger who died. Was it white or silver, I think it was white, silver it was silver.
Speaker 2:Okay, it was silver. I felt bad about Old Girl who Died because it sucks to see your death in the future and know what's about to happen and have to be like to face that shit. That's a hard thing. They talk about that in so many different shows and, no matter what, I always think about it like damn, I don't know if I could do that though. Destination fucked me up, bro. That's a hard thing into it To be like oh you gotta face your death. I'm like shit. Do I tell everybody no, because? Because it's going to get worse later.
Speaker 3:There's no way to define. See, for me, I didn't Again, y'all might think I'm callous and heartless, but Sentai made me this way. I was not worried about her death because I knew how. It was a parody of case in point Galranger Galranger For those of y'all that don't know, that's Wild Force here. Okay, the shark Galaranger I want y'all to understand Died, and I'm talking about brutally Died.
Speaker 3:It wasn't for the fact of Animus Coming back and resurrecting like hey look, no, we're gonna make that like it didn't happen. We're gonna resurrect you and make it like it didn't happen. I'm used to it. As far as when it comes to Sentai, because I've seen so many Rangers fall I'm talking about straight out now, helm helmets cut in half, blown up everything. We only really got it over here in Lost Galaxy when we lost the Pink Ranger here.
Speaker 1:That's it. Hold on. Speaking of Wild Force, I heard that after Wild Force it wasn't on screen or anything like that, but it was more like a canonical, offspring type thing. I heard that after Wild Force it wasn't on screen or anything like that, but it was more like a canonical, like offspring type thing. I heard that both Nick and Udonna from Wild Force died somehow, but they didn't really go into detail Like is that true?
Speaker 3:Say that again. I'm sorry my bad, I was talking to my wife. Say that again. Let me sorry my bad, I was talking to my wife, say that again.
Speaker 1:Let me put like the Red Ranger and the mentor Lady that was His mother. You know the whole thing. No, my bad, my bad. I'm thinking Mystic Force, my bad. Okay, disregard all that. I keep thinking Mystic Force for some reason.
Speaker 2:That's right, you said Wild.
Speaker 1:Force, okay, uh, never mind.
Speaker 2:Um, now, I mean, I do know as far as, like, a lot of comic books get a lot more graphic, a lot more detailed I know I've mentioned that plenty of times before in our previous Sentai reviews, uh, Power Ranger reviews and stuff to where it's like, literally, the comic book is a lot more recent. The TV shows was like oh, it's made for kids, but there was an intense storyline they actually put into it and you want to read the intense storylines. As an adult, you're going to want to read the comics, Correct?
Speaker 1:You know what, when we're done with the whole Power Rangers stream review, we should try checking on common writer.
Speaker 3:You know, like review the whole thing believe me if you would, if you would like to go ahead. All I ask is that you let me know what era you want to start in, because there are three eras. There's the showa era, where everything started. There's the heisei era, where a lot of people got into Kamen Rider Like a whole lot of people got into Kamen Rider.
Speaker 3:That's your more updated one, and you have what we are in now, which is the Rewind era. So, whichever era you want to start in, just let me know. Jesus, Believe me, each one, each Kamaderie is a lot different. Each camaraderie is a whole lot different. So it's like I say this Because I've said this to To one of my brethren hey, Do not think they lead into each other like that, Because they don't. It's just like it is with Sentai. They don't they lead into each other like that because they don't. It's just like it is with Sentai. They don't really lead into each other. It's not something that you're going to be like oh yeah, hey, you know we got this. How's this go into this one? It doesn't what you mean. That's the beauty of it. They're all different.
Speaker 1:Power Rangers really try to make sure, unless it's like okay, a little call back to a previous season, they really tried to make sure that each season's not trying to be too connected to the last season. Like correct, um, I would say like with zeo and Turbo and what not. Like okay, because they had the same people. That makes sense. But once they started having like Brand new people, it's like Uh, uh, like don't, don't connect us with them. They not like us.
Speaker 3:But correct, that's exactly how they did. They, uh, literally, uh, what's the word here? They don't, they don't really attach them like that. And so what happens is is that I know a lot of folks, a lot of folks are thinking, oh wait, but don't they follow each other? Yes, they do, they do. Sometimes older writers will show up in the other episodes. Well, not those episodes, they'll show up in the other seasons, but that's not gonna always happen. That's not how that works. It doesn't always happen like that.
Speaker 3:You'll see them in a movie together. Because that's that? Because I'm gonna tell you that now, with common writers and sentai, they have a lot of movies. There are movies out there for them. So they have a lot of movies. They have, um, what is it? Uh, there's a lot of specials and stuff of that nature. So you just have to kind of be, you just have to kind of look for it and be mindful. But yeah, that's neither here nor there. I don't want to take up too much time, um cause with this, because this segues into a lot of things that can happen. And I promise y'all, if y'all want those, if y'all want those reviews, I will gladly. I myself will take it upon myself to literally throw those reviews up there for y'all, and I don't mind doing it. I don't mind throwing them up there on the YouTube channel for everybody, or even throwing them up on the Patreon, if that's exactly what y'all want to do. However, be ready for a deep dive because, in the words of my sister, that's some cult shit. That's some cult shit.
Speaker 2:You're not wrong about that one.
Speaker 3:That cult is known as Tokuzatsu and I want y'all to know it's deep, we run deep here.
Speaker 2:I don't even know who's in the cult, but I know of the cult. That's my comment right there. Anyway, look, hey, before I go, cause I gotta get going, but real quick, I wanna go back to the anime, cause we wound up talking a lot about Kamen Rider. I get references first off. I just wanna put it this way the Demon Lord's kids are all creepy as hell. So the dude with the mask and the hands I thought his character was pretty cool and stuff. He was really smart.
Speaker 1:I think his name was.
Speaker 2:But that dude that was like oh, you know, we all thought about telling our mommy that we love her and want to marry her. And it was like, okay, even if you said that as a kid, as an adult you've been holding on to that for like a thousand years.
Speaker 3:My boy like um yep that that's right, that's a trope. Once again, that's why I say like this right here is a parody, there's a trope that it played off of um and everything else it's. It's just a little trope they played off of. That appears often. I'm not afraid to say it appears often over in a lot of things. Once again, in J-dramas, c-dramas, k-dramas, it appears often. It's like oh Jesus, okay, you really love your mother huh. I'm right. I's like oh Jesus, okay, you really love your mother huh. All right, I don't believe you. Like that was.
Speaker 2:You disturbed me.
Speaker 2:You disturbed me.
Speaker 2:I am very curious about how it is that the queen, how the demon queen is and how her, how things are going to go as far as into that.
Speaker 2:I am curious as well because I feel like in the show it's going to show as far as into that.
Speaker 2:Um, I am curious as well because I feel like in the show it's going to show more, uh, different ranger, sentai, uh, common writer, like people as well as right now we've been introduced to two different power systems outside of mana, the normal in this world.
Speaker 2:I feel like we're going to get like other ones and I feel like it's probably going to want to be in the case of oh, heroes from different universes, of different power systems all have found their way to this world to come save the day, things like that, and so some of the power system has been left behind and I feel like it's going to be a point of all of them joining in together, type, because in the end, rea wound up joining into the kazuna beast, but her power at him never was mixed into it. So you know, I am really curious how that's going to work out as far as when Atem actually bonds with the Kazuna with the Kazuna Beast and then seeing what new forms are going to come there, but that's unfortunate. All the time that I have right now, I wanted to make sure I got a chance to mention that those are my expectations for the future.
Speaker 1:This series continues so we'll see, but it's time for me to go, so I will talk with y'all another time, of course.
Speaker 3:All right, take it easy, man, all right, uh, yeah, anything else you want to add on? Oh, oh, oh, no, no, no, no. Because, believe me, as far as the uh, as far as this anime goes right here with me, um, I'm good on it. Uh, believe me, I love it. I want to tell y'all wholeheartedly I do, I love it. Um, don't think there's just like oh yeah, tell us, you know this, just in your wheelhouse, so you'll defend it. No, it's not that, believe me, I was more of a critiquer than anything, because this is in my wheelhouse and because of that, at the same time, it's just hey for me. I gave it what it was supposed to give, which is that, you know, it's not something I'm supposed to take serious the entirety of. I had to kind of know that and learn that. So it was like, alright, cool, but other than that, no, I do recommend that folks watch it. Please make sure you check it out. That is the best thing I can tell you.
Speaker 1:Check it out alright, let's just go ahead and wrap it up from there. Uh, talos, I do thank you for being on the show. I thank you guys for being on the show, even though his time was limited, and I thank the listener for being on the show. I thank you guys for being on the show even though his time was limited, and I thank the listener for sticking to us to the end. So y'all go ahead and have yourself a good morning, good afternoon and good evening, but ultimately you take it easy. Peace, folks.
