holy shit, we got a lot of news for the nerdy news special this time around, so let's just go ahead and zone in on it. As per usual, we're gonna start with movies, then we're gonna get to television, gaming, uh, books, music and miscellaneous, but it's like a fair bit of everything. This time around started with movies. We got our teaser trailer for the new fantastic four movie. Uh, connectic lawmaker wants to make movie theaters post their real start time of a movie, what it would be after all the advertisement, trailers and other stuff. At this point I kind of know it's gonna be like 15 minutes, but even so, that is kind of fair because I'm like, look, I'm not gonna rush to the theater just to find out. Oh well, you're not messing up, but made in time for the trailer.
Speaker 1:Anyways, a live action mobile suit gundam movie is now in full production. It was announced in 2018 and it will be the first live action punt for a franchise which has seen 25 anime series, 34 animated films and 27 original anime productions and more, and this is the first time they're going to attempt live action. So I kind of want to see how this is going to play out. Anyways, a live action box of gun movie is in the works. Uh, we got brad payton um directing that. We got a sequel to the jimmy neutron movie in the works. I'm okay. Okay, live action, magic, the gathering movie and tv universe brought to you by hasbro and legendary entertainment, the makers of the doom movies. Okay, okay, about time, by the way, because I'm like as a gathering honestly should have deserved more of a, you know, with the lore and shit. That's the main thing. Like there's so much lore to magic the gathering that people are like whoa on this lore. I'm like, oh, oh, oh, yes, you think warhammer is expensive. Like, anyways, the wild robot won best animated film at the creative choice awards. By the way, I know about the oscars. I didn't care for the oscar this time around. I'm sorry, but maybe on the panel might talk about it, but uh, I was just interested anyways. Uh, congratulations to the cast and crew of Deadpool and Wolverine on their Critics Choice Awards win for Best Comedy. The Super Mario Bros movie Is getting a sequel coming In April 3rd of next year. We're getting Mortal Kombat 2 October 24th of this year. Captain America Brave New World earned $40 million at its opening day, $12 million on its Thursday preview and by now it made about $300 million and it's the first $100 million plus box office of 2025. So, yeah, 100 million plus box office of 2025. So so, yeah, yeah, uh.
Speaker 1:Marlon wayans confirms plans for white chicks 2. After wrapping up scary movie 6, we're getting our first x-men movie in production at marvel studios. James gunn he confirmed that robert patson's batman is not part of the DCU's Batman, but Clayface will be for his rated R project coming up. He also confirmed that a Teen Titans movie is in development, with the writer for Supergirl, woman of Tomorrow, developing the script for the film. Gunn also confirmed the new DC Studios release schedule as follows Two live action films each year.

And I know, mira Jane, I know we talked about this with the MCU, but we'll get to it, since I'm almost done. We got our first look at Shrek 5. Mike Myers, eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz is returning for their respective roles and we got Zendaya as one of Shrek's daughters. Interesting and last but not least, for movies Demon Slayer, infinity Castle Arc part 1 is coming July 18th. So that is movie news opening up to the panel. We got kokugasu talos, gundam mira jane and sack thomas mash, so let's start with talo. Since I know you were, like, really excited for this one, let me start with you first off.
Speaker 2:First off, I want to say like this uh, before we, before we relatively begin, I know we got a lot of stuff tonight. We got a lot of stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to try to cover this as fast as possible, giving you my synopsis and takes. However, comma, there are certain points that I am going to harp on. Keep that in mind. That beat, that being said in the words I know, in the words that I know best relatively, I'm about to make a name for myself, so I want you to understand right. The teaser trailer is fantastic, for I'm not disappointed in it a bit. For those of you that are disappointed, go suck a dick.

I'm going to skip over these next two because I'm going to come back to them along with some other stuff. The sequel to the Jimmy Neutron movie hey, once again, I can't wait to see it. Hell yeah, I can't wait to see it. Excuse me, magic Avenue. I would love for them to not go with a movie first. Go with TV Universe.

Speaker 2:The reason being I'm going to say go with TV Universe first is because you have enough lore from each freaking realm to do several seasons, and I do several. You have enough lore to do on the planeswalkers by themselves.
Speaker 2:So, that's what I'm saying, like, just start from the beginning, start from the beginning of magic, go through. You can even tie in the different stuff with magic that has gone in there. Where you can tie in Marvel at some point Way later down the line you can tie in with uh freaking, square Enix. Because, by the way, once again, that cactus is a minute.
Speaker 2:Marvel fucking minutes. But anyway, I digress. But that's just me. I feel like if you go with TV Universe first, then you will get a lot more stuff out of it. You are definitely going to get a lot more stuff out of it and you will get a lot more people to go through. Congratulations to Wild Robots, as usual. You know Wild Robots, deadpool Ring Give them congratulations too. We know a Super Mario Bros movie. A second movie was coming out. We knew this. I want to say it once again Super Smash Bros anyone.
Speaker 1:I mean we already talked about it Star Fox, metroid there's so much shit on the table.
Speaker 2:It's way beyond so much shit on the table, so be on the lookout. I'm putting my parlay towards the Super Smash Bros movie Coming Now. Going back into it real quick Mortal Kombat 2. I am on the fence. I want to see what you can do.

Y'all just and we're going to say it like it is Y'all white folks and you know who you is Y'all complain because you're used to Captain America being Steve Rogers and if you actually followed the story, if you actually read comic books, you would know the Captain America title, literal title, has changed hands way too many times.

For James Gundam I like the way they're thinking, but I want to see how this is going to go because, like I said, I'm not going to hold my breath. I am not. I am not going to hold my breath on this. For Shrek 5 and Demon Slayer eh, once again, I'm about to tie the Shrek.

That don't work. Don't just drop me in New Destroyer and don't explain shit.

Well, I've also heard rumors Of that still on the table there's a Zoid movie being talked about. A live action Zoid movie has been talked about. Not to mention. Not to mention that they are also Apparently in talks about Uh, bringing back, uh Biker Mice from Mars and Free Sharks, just like how Swat Cats has been, but they're talking about getting them into live action movies. So, folks, folks, don't fuck with me. Don't, don't fuck with me. Also and this is one that I am going to be digging into because I need to know how much of truth this is Apparently, on the rumor mill, they say that DC is trying to bring Freakazoid over into from Warner Bros over into the DC Universe.

They haven't come off the table like it was with Bakugan and everything else. Remember, back here a while back, they had talked about Bakugan, they had talked about Beyblade, they had talked about the mobile suit. Beyblade is still on the table. Bakugan and mobile suit have made it off the table. So we don't know yet.
Speaker 4:I don't know where they're going. They better not mess with my Jager. They better not mess, they better just. They can't fuck up. They can't fuck up, they can't do that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because I want Zoids to make a combat for real. More games and shit. Same how I felt about IGPX, because, honestly, mecha racing game, bro. I'll be on that shit for real.

Speaker 1:I would I any of them, especially mario kart, but that's not the point we're gonna love you for on the summer game, because I'm trying to incorporate racing games. That's, yeah, like we're gonna play mario kart, we're gonna play sonic racing, maybe disney speed storm, I don't know yet, but we'll see.
Speaker 4:I will start off in first and end in last, but that's not the point, um. The point is is they better not fuck up toys? They also, um better not fuck up Bakugan, uh and JB. What you mean? You don't like the trailers what trailers? The trailers at the beginning of the movie what you mean.

Speaker 1:Like look, listen, we do the nerdy news. Like I watched the trailers before they even put it out. Like, in other words, when I roll up to the movie theaters I'm looking at a bunch of trailers I already seen. So I'm already annoyed, I'm ready to get the movie started already.
Speaker 4:Y'all need to go to the movies with me because it is magical, okay. Okay, it is a moment. You have to be in it. You have to enjoy all of it. Okay, I'm the person who likes to get there before the other people leave the theater. Okay, I like to be there with my popcorn and I hate being late, and every time I'm late I always end up being really sad because that means I don't miss the trailers. I miss the best part of the movie, this if the connecticut lawmaker decides that this is what he really needs, he better put both times.
Speaker 1:No, I see how my trailer starts when it now, when it comes to the movies, I'm like, nah, see, if you knew when the like, see, I keep assuming that the movie's gonna start at that time. So I get there early enough to where, like okay, 15 minutes early. So that way I'm like get to the bathroom, I'm probably gonna be in line trying to get my popcorn and shit. So I took that 15 minutes, like I'm kind of like a manager to where I'm like, uh-uh, you should have took traffic and all that shit I feel like there's other things that he should be fighting for, such as popcorn should not be costing me almost ten dollars yeah, yeah, you know what?
Speaker 1:like I went to theater when I saw captain america nine dollars for a bucket fuck all that hey, I, I really.
Speaker 2:I mean like it's almost 30 bucks for uh, for a nacho combo, like like all right, you see bro I wouldn't I wouldn't highway robbery?

They had a Captain America themed alcoholic beverage on my wall. It made the movie so much better. The movie was already great, but that definitely helped, especially because I was hyping. I was telling them the kids like listen, I don't know why y'all ain't.
Speaker 1:Oh no, listen, when I went to that movie and they were like little kids and shit, I'm like, oh my god, these little kids gonna fuck it up for me. And they like, okay, they didn't get that bad. But they were like, okay, y'all need to shut the fuck up. I'm starting to watch this movie. And then the funniest part was I was um, watching, waiting for the post credit, and then we got there. Then one dude was like about time, and then I kind of laughed a little bit. Hey, yo, you know what I feel that not about time, oh yeah'm like, finally, I'm like you know.

They did that shit last time and the movie in and of itself was perfect, because one of my favorite songs to the people who don't know one of the people who saw it was called Take On Me by Ha, and when they put that into the movie I almost went nuts, like no way that this is happening to me. This movie is too perfect and now they're making a second one. No, stop giving me all of this. This is too much of a gift. This is too much for me. I can't take it. Then we got a Magic the Gathering. When's that coming? I mean, let me see.

Speaker 1:With those three seasons. It would probably be like, okay, we'll give y'all one season and then we'll already greenlit two more. If it does really good, we'll add more.

Marvel did that fantastically during the infinity war series, during the first infinity war. The first announcement for infinity war was during a preview for a movie, for another Marvel movie. Speaker 3:you could read the background story. See, I'm the little brother, I'm the young, I'm the the second youngest. So whenever my brothers play games, I'd be like waiting for my turn. They'd like they just give me the little book here. Read this to keep yourself occupied. The first few pages is like backstory, tells about the characters and stuff, but if you keep reading, it actually does tell you the button controls, what each button does and different combinations of how to play the game, and a lot of times, if you do read the full thing, it actually tells you all the worlds that you're going to go to as well too, and how to beat them. The game, the manual, actually explains everything. So when you start up the game, it's not going to tell you how to play. There was not really much of a tutorial back in those old school games, because the tutorial was in the book that you were supposed to read. Who ever thought so?
Speaker 3:Them getting remastered? I mean, it sounds cool. To be honest with you, 4, 5, and 6 were not the best. To be honest with you, even if you remastered them, the storyline wasn't the best. The gameplay with you? Um, even if you remaster them, the storyline wasn't the best. The gameplay was already kind of shaky as well. So even if you fix the gameplay, it it wasn't a good storyline to follow um with them, to be honest. So it's cool we're getting remastered. At least we're sticking with the series again. I I just don't think this was gonna work out as well. Um, yukio, fully agree with you on talos. We know exactly which game they want it. Now let's dig, dig, dig, dig into marvel rivals. So marvel rivals really quick. Uh, season one reaches in. We're getting the second half set. This is awesome, literally, because they announced all the new characters that's coming in and they said all this, they're planning on doing it. Um, so what winds up happening is the whole plan to reset player ranks as well.

Really, it ties back to, let's be honest, our current US president and MAGA and our government, because of the fact of the whole information system. They're revolting back, just like with the whole terror situation that happened, where canada and mexico responded with their own tariffs, forcing us to release our, to get rid of our tariffs. It's the same thing that's happening here. The marvel rifle developers. They did recently do an interview and to explain why it is the us people were let go. The reason being is because they were, quote, unquote lazy, uninspired and woke was the exact terms that they used as the reason why they got rid of the US developer team. So it's literally all tying back to the same thing. If our government had just left our video games alone, we'd be fine, but they didn't. So now shit like this is happening and probably will continue to keep happening, so we don't know what's going to wind up happening onto that also.
Speaker 3:One other thing as well, too, is that there even could be possibilities, because, based on how a lot of things are written up, uh tends to want to do the same thing. They followed in suit what disney did when it came down for the kingdom heart series is the reason I thought I like to tie stuff in. Uh, because kingdom hearts wound up having a whole thing where they wound up claiming a lot of major rights to those final fantasy characters for the kingdom hearts franchise and it became a whole big issue, which is why in kingdom hearts 3, there are no final fantasy characters in kingdom hearts 3 because square enix was pissed off about that shit and they said no, we're taking all of our characters back. You're not doing the shit with us. Disney well tencent is also doing the same shit as well with marvel characters for the video game, claiming rights to be able to use them in video games and further video games as well. What most people don't know is that there's a further detailed thing happening there, so we don't know what's going to happen onto that.
Speaker 3:I just understand, because of all this that's happening, I personally don't think Overwatch 2 should be gone yet Like I get it, I get the point of it because overwatch 2 was doing was up the nonsense. I completely, I completely agree onto that one. Um, they were such a high horse that they, when they created overwatch 2 and then shut down overwatch 1, they literally were just taking advantage of the players and it's like, oh, we can do whatever it is we want to do and they didn't care. But now that you know, marvel rivals became the next biggest thing and people are leaving Overwatch 2 to go to there. We're putting Marvel Rivals into too much of a high horse and we don't know how much power they're actually claiming right now. It's a good possibility that they're really just roping us in only to shut us down, very similar to how Overwatch did.

Those like the two best ones. I've seen crossovers now as far as video game, obviously injustice 2. So I'm curious how it's going to work out with call of duty. I yeah, I don't know. I mean, if you just think about as a first person, as an fps, maybe first person shooter, but first person slasher, we'll call it that first person slasher as you're fighting with the turtles, I think that'd be dope, but you know, I'm not sure, but that's like the idea that I'm kind of going for under there.
Speaker 3:Sonic Racing I am excited that Sonic Racing is coming back across worlds. It is pretty cool. I did like the original Sonic Race. I did like how Sonic Racing has been doing. Well, it's been its own side-by-side trying to be competition with Crash Team Racing. It hasn't been doing as well as that, but it's still. Like I said, I don't like to be an only monopoly. Right now Mario Kart is still the biggest dominant, but that doesn't mean that there's not other racing games you can play. Disney Speed Storm is still good to play. It's free to play on the switch, so you can still even do that one if you broke, like me, I was skipping on switch too, because no, um, so I am excited for the elder ring. Uh, magic gathering I'm getting into, you know, since apparently, uh, we got, like several people, jb salos is trying to get me in, so we're gonna see how that goes on. To that, um, spider-man 3, we're gonna go one of us, we accepting one of us so Spider-Man 3 is pretty cool.

That's why the writers take full advantage of him.

When I said about dutton newcomb forever, dutton newcomb forever did horribly. It was postponed for it, postponed for it was literally given a record for the most postponed, longest postponed game in history. There is no game that's topped it yet. Yet I'm saying Because it's another game that apparently is pushing there right now and when it finally came out it was horrible because it had been so long and it was like the jokes was bad, the graphics was bad, everything was bad. It was just no, it was like at this point it was so delayed. People was like why are we even doing this? Like why did you even try to bring it back? And I'm nervous about how it's going to work out for this fable as well, too.

One of brother games is on some absolute bullshit, and this is why I say this. So monoliths, wonder Woman game has been cancelled, and then they shut down the model of productions. You know why they did that shit. They did that and they literally did this in the interview. This is exactly what they said. They said that we did not appreciate Suicide squad killed the Justice League, said that we did not appreciate Suicide Squad killed the Justice League enough because we did not appreciate it. They said they're canceling the other shit and we're the reasons that they wound up completely shutting down Monolith Studios.

Speaker 1:Suicide Squad was good to me, but to somebody else may not have been the one thing that really turned me off about suicide squad is when the playable characters just felt like I'm just playing the same character, like it was one thing like okay, you made harley quinn built kind of like spider-man, okay, fine. But then everybody else is like, okay, they're like slightly different, but it's like still the same, kind of sort of gameplay, almost like, uh, you're not really capitalizing on the different attributes of the different characters, like it's almost like you're just treating all the playable characters as the same character that you're playing as. But just you know over and over again.
Speaker 3:Yeah, no variety, no variety. But then the other thing that also was the biggest, the biggest final straw for a lot of fans was during the last dlc they released, which the dlc. A lot of people were so pissed off about how batman died in the original show, in the, in the original gameplay, but then they want to fix it and be like, oh, this was never what really happened. It was a. It was actually all part of batman's plan and that's not where what was going on, type of thing, and it's like by this point, a lot of people had already talked about it became a big thing about the fact that a lot of people were pissed off that it's always batman has a plan, batman has a plan, batman has a plan. It's like, at this point, he's no longer just seeming like, oh, he's rich, his superpower is being rich. No, his superpower is apparently just being fucking able to see the future and shit. He's always the one that comes to the clash at the end Like nobody else. Oh, batman's in. Okay, we already know the good guys are going to win. There's nothing to hold that. There's nothing to make it seem like, oh, this could be intense. Batman's in the picture. We already know he's gonna win.
Speaker 3:So when they killed it off, it was like what the fuck, and why would you do it this way? There was no real boss fight and instead of fixing it and making an actual fight to it, they just changed the story and it was like seriously, it just it didn't do. Well, and fans were not secret about that. They were honest. They said this is what they didn't like. People already talked about what they would have appreciated further, and you didn't do it. You did something different. But now you're saying well, you guys didn't appreciate it, so we fired the studio. But then, to make matters worse, is that Warner Brothers still kept the patent for the Nemesis system.
Speaker 3:Those of you guys that don't know about the Nemesis system. There's games that Monolo studios is well known for, called the middle earth, shadow of war, shadow of mordor series, and so with this game there was a nemesis system where the character that you're fighting, as he was fighting against the orcs, the orcs would remember him. And so, let's say, you wound up killing one let's say it didn't die somehow another, it got doctored back to health and some type of dark magic or and some type of mechanics and shit. They will come back and he remember you and be like hey, you thought you killed me last time, but you can't kill me that same way before. I'm now better than I was before and you would have a tougher fight fighting against this person. And then it will also be part of the system as well that whenever they kill you, they move up in rank. So either you kill them and they come back stronger, or they kill you and then they get stronger. So it would make it a growing gameplay to where it'd be that moment of like oh okay, and if that person, that that orc, wound up killing you, you'd have to work your way back up to get your revenge, aka your nemesis.
Speaker 3:And so it was like it was a fantastic system. It was a perfect use of ai. And you know how I feel I've talked about plenty of times how I feel about ai taking over things but this wasn't a takeover. It was a great way of really working out the ai system in the video game. That made people really feel engrossed into it. But warner brothers put a patent on it after Shadow of Mordor and then released Shadow of War not long after that patent. Shadow of War didn't do as well because they made it to where you had to really pay to win. But they were still having hopes of other games coming out. But Warner Brothers still has not released another game with the Nemesis system. But because of that patent, no one else can either, and they have released that information that that patent is still in effect until 2036 and they still have no news of any other game that's going to come out with this system.
Speaker 1:So, as far as we know, one of the greatest game systems made will no longer be used and no other game developer can use the nemesis system unless they get express permission by warner bros to do so. So either you gotta ask for permission or wait 10 years and hope that it's free game five studios have asked for permission and each one has been shot down.
Speaker 3:There you go oh, it's just, it's absolutely fucking terrible. And it's one of those ones again where I say like this is why I don't want no monopolies and shit. We need competition. Because it's because of shit like this, it's like it's just unfair, it's absolutely unfair. So it's like I really wish we'd have had something more to it.
Speaker 3:As far as into the rest of it, the only other thing is yeah, we talked about the DLC during our Diamond review, you and me, jb, so I don't really have much to say into that one. The only thing that I do want to mention as far as Power World, power World's got two big things into it. One, my big ups for letting your employees off, recognizing that people's not gonna be there. You said you know what, we're gonna go ahead and let y'all get the day off to go ahead and play smart move, because a lot of companies ain't gonna do that. They would literally just say you know what, we're gonna write all of y'all up for this and all of y'all are gonna get put on written notices to be terminated. Keep fucking with us, you're gonna get terminated, type shit. They didn't do that.
Speaker 3:It was like you know what, like you said, you probably playing the game too smart move, fantastic, it shows you care for your employees. But there is a flip side to that coin as well, too. Power word is also backing down a little bit because, guess what? Pokemon is still suing them. That's right. Because of some of the newer stuff that's been coming out with power world, pokemon decided to rebrand that lawsuit back again. Nintendo's like no, you're still doing it, you're still releasing stuff that looks too similar to Pokemon and we don't like it.

I think it was like three of them all together, so definitely check that out. But this is supposed to be a nice little comedy, serious series and stuff. So this one, if I'm correct, is one that would be fine for, even like your little children, to read. Speaker 1:Jb, what I know you wanted to go ahead and talk further into the danny phantom one oh right, so with the danny painting one, here's the thing after the events of danny fanta glitch in time, danny is public enemy number one and casper high school has been revamped to basically be believing that ghosts are once again a danger to the town so while danny is struggling to find some way to implement his new knowledge of what ghosts are, to help them out.
Speaker 1:Um, valerie, who is thriving as the best ghost hunter at school. Uh, then we have our friend wolf, who comes back on, danny's old ghost friend, you know, werewolf um from the prison, the ghost prison. Uh, he arrives looking for another ghost wolf cub and danny, in the game, must help track down this cub before, um, all his classmates who've been converted into ghost hunters, uh, get to it first. So I'm kind of interesting to know that, because I feel like Danny Phantom making a combat as a TV series or maybe even a movie. Like not, maybe not a live action movie, but like an animated film. Like I would love that, like I would love a Glitching Time to be like a animated trilogy film. Like I don't know, I'm just a bit blown. Yeah, that's all right.

But I think I had a desktop that had Windows 8, but even then I'm like I don't remember Windows 8 that much. It's going to kind of suck, but oh well, we got no choice now.
