all righty nerds and nerdettes. We're gonna go ahead and talk about fairy tale 100 years quest. Uh, with me today is hero pin dragon. What up, hero, how you doing? Hero, glad to see you on my show, hero. So fairy tale 100 years quest it's one year after the fall of Zaref and Agnologia, nasu and the team was at the fairy tale wizard field hall and eventually they decide to disembark on this, this mission that was unaccomplished by over a century. Like somebody, um, essentially tried to make these things where, okay, we need to uh seal these renegade dragons called the five dragon gods. Uh, and nobody was able to do it for a 100 years. So fairytale is like all right, bet, we got it.
Speaker 1:Uh, the client, uh, alice sarah. Uh, I'm just gonna call ella, um for sure, it's just gonna confuse me. He's got the same deal that Analogic has, like you know, like he was a. He's a human that got turned into a dragon, but he's like in dragon human form for the time being, and essentially he's telling Team Natsu that you gotta seal away Seleneene, selena. Uh, I keep thinking selene, but it's like they pronounce it selena, but I keep thinking selene, so I'm just gonna call selene, whatever. Uh, it's my podcast and I'll pronounce it.
Speaker 1:I want to uh selene ignea, uh, selene Ignea, uh Merkphobia, but I'm gonna call him Merk. Uh Aldora, uh, I'll call him Al. And uh, uh, burnis, goddamn, gonna burn, goddamn uh, each of these, uh, by the way, each of these, uh, by the way, selene is moon, india is fire, murk is water, al is wood and burn is metal. But you know, uh, each of these are like rival agnologia and strain, threatening, cause destruction all over the uh wizard world.
Speaker 1:And essentially, they first go to um, the water place where I thought was kind of cute, where they were like swimming underwater and, uh, people were like bitch, but turns out it was um, kind of like tenra Island. All over again, I think it was, wait, maybe not Tenra Island, but the one island where maybe it's the same one, but you know, the one island where everyone was a demon, but turns out that they had amnesia and they found out, oh well, they were human the whole time, but they were turned into demons. Or the other way around, where they were, they thought they were humans that turned into demons, but they gained their memory of, oh, we were demons the whole time.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and that moon, that little moon, drip. I think or something like that was sort of the cause of it, that Erza was trying to destroy the moon. But I think, or something like that, was sort of the cause of it, that Erza was trying to destroy the moon, but I think she actually destroyed like some other barrier, so I'm like that causing it.
Speaker 1:Right and honestly, I thought it was kind of crazy watching this first half because, let's be honest, like, looking at getting to the 25th episode, I realized that hey yo, this can't be all of it, because we didn't even see an ogre dragon god yet. So I'm thinking like season two might uh be announced at some point, but we just didn't get that announcement yet and, um, I'm thinking, oh shit, I kind of lost track of what I was gonna say. But, um, I'm thinking, oh shit, I kind of lost track of what I was going to say. But I'm trying to think that so far, with the water place, it was funny how it was like callbacks to Previous seasons and, even though I'm kind of Flash forwarding, they had this one part with, uh, ferris the white mage and celine and all that and they essentially was trying to activate this hand, um device and whatnot, and it just kind of reminds you of the face thing that um zero tried to do, and even with ferris being the white mage and you're like zero the black mage or the black wizard, and it's almost like kind of immediately reminds you of the last season of fairy tale.
Speaker 1:But, uh, hero, how do you feel about 100 Year Quest?
Speaker 2:While I'm rambling, Uh, you know we're kind of talking. Which part are you Talking about in the 100 Year Quest?
Speaker 1:Oh well, I was talking about the that was. It was Ermina.
Speaker 1:I think, that was the place called, where it was like submerged, uh, under the sea, with high tide at night. So it would be like, uh, they would be humans during the day, but at night, uh, it would be high tide, and the whole city would be submerged in water and everybody else would turn to fish and Team Nox would have to drink that potion to be able to breathe underwater. I'm on that part so far, the one with mer-phobia, and essentially they need to break these orbs. They had to Break these Orbs, they had to break Like five orbs and meanwhile, all this happening, while they're trying to do this, they are being antagonized by Diaboros. Who is this Clan of?
Speaker 2:like fifth generation Dragon slayers and unlike the previous generation of dragon slayer um, was it was bees actually eats dragons yeah, so I pretty much think it was, uh, definitely around the first part of like it's like you said, getting to that one place of, uh, you know, people turning into fish and all this other stuff it was. I think it was interesting because it would. Also there were moments in there where it really tells you and it signifies how powerful that you know how powerful merc phobia was, the water god and also the troubling fact that if not see any others didn't take that thing, they probably probably would have just died on the spot. So thank God they took it like they should have. It was interesting how they did do the little callback to that village where it had a moon drip, like you mentioned earlier as well. I did like that and the little funny interaction they had, also transforming into fish and just showing their face, made it hilarious.
Speaker 2:And, yeah, especially around the part too where they get around to. Now they mention in the whole quest, of course, defeating all the dragon gods and whatnot, or really sealing them dragon gods and whatnot, or really sealing them. I was pretty invested into how they were going to tackle this, considering you know, they're all dragon gods and each and how powerful they are and obviously it's going to take a lot to take them down, especially considering that, um, if I remember correctly, guild arts, I think he was trying this and he had trouble with it, up to the point to where, uh, he had to bow out of that quest, if I remember correctly. So I thought that part was really nice, and I think you mentioned a part about also destroying all. Well, no, not that part, but getting to what? Do you call them Diabolos, I think those dragon eaters, diabolos, the other thing I find fascinating about that is those dragon eaters Diabolos yeah, diabolos.
Speaker 2:The other thing I find fascinating about that is at least how we saw with back then where Natsu and Gajil had to fight Sting and Rogue another. I think they're like another older generation, like dragon slayers, but it's a pretty cool concept of how they introduce all these dragon slayers and how they, you know, come around to being them, like those guys, they eat them. And I think I gotta say the one character I forgot his name but probably, maybe one of my most favorite, he's that guy that can turn to ash. And then there's the guy with pretty much like a you know, pretty much a sword, like a katana. He pretty much basically looks like Rony Ukencha, and I'll say that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I was thinking that too. Okay, I know his name is Suzaku, but I'm trying to remember the guy, the Coruscant Slayer. I'm trying to remember his name, but I'll get back to you when I remember his name.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, two of them, pretty much, are in Trismi and it was nice to see them go into battle and I was wondering if motion sickness affected them too. Hold on, sit this out. Here's his name, the three affected them too.
Speaker 1:Hold on, hold on, hold on, sit this out, sit this out. All right, sit this out. Here's his name, the three dragon eaters that we know of. Aside from Suzuku, the dart dragon slayer, we have Kiria, the blade dragon slayer, we have Madmo, the armor dragon slayer, and the guy that you're talking about the ass dragon, and the guy that you're talking about the Aspric, the Corpse Dragon Square. Excuse me, his name is Skullion Raider hmm, I don't like.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I guess I mean it's kind of cool, but at the same time it's like, hmm, almost a little too try hard it's almost a little too try hard, almost a little bit yeah, I like, I definitely I'd probably say him and uh, probably one of their favorite dragon eaters.
Speaker 2:Um, overall that wasn't too bad of an arc and I don't know that's at least from that guy who was the armored dragon, the one who ate that. His ability seems pretty cool, defensive wise. But it was like and I wasn't too, I wasn't too piqued of an interest by him.
Speaker 1:Gotcha. Yeah, I mean, the only thing that was like kind of interesting about him is that he had that one uh, I've got all those, there's a term for it but it's like they, they have this one word they say after every sentence and it's like goes like cha, and it got so infected that everybody else was like kind of copying, like mocking him a little bit. I mean, I won't say like Mocking him, but Like it just got infected Really fast for some Reason. But I don't know, I guess that's the only thing about him.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the little Jaw thing, I'm like, I'm like dude, stop saying that please.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it got old Kind of fast, like I mean, I guess it's like one of the things. As long as he's not overstaying His welcome. What up, mira Jane? Welcome to the show.

Speaker 3:So, while we're still rolling, how you feeling about Fairytale 100? Years Quest you know this it redeemed itself. Yeah, this was a redemption and I loved it. I absolutely did.
Speaker 2:I fell in love with the hundred years quest yeah, I feel the same way and uh, obviously I'm not trying to, not trying to spoil anything here, but getting further in, at least from, I remember, from the manga chapters, there's, uh, there's gonna be some pretty cool facts that they reveal, especially especially on Aloxis, concerning him and his powers and whatnot. I'll say that much Like I like the, I like the little callbacks they get into and some of the plot lines they also get back into here and there. That explores the other characters again. That's it, cool, cool, cool. Explores the other characters again.
Speaker 1:Gotcha Cool, cool, cool. So, uh, me and Jane, we were talking about a whole lot. We were just pretty much talking about, like the first three episodes so far, where they were at Urmia, where it submerged underwater at night and essentially they were going up against the Water Dragon God and turns out that the water dragon god Is actually not a bad dude. When you know, you get to know him, especially With his, with his lady friend. I'm trying to remember Carmel Caramel. Excuse me, they, they spell it in a different way, but I kept thinking like her name's kind of supposed to be like Caramel, but like it's spelled differently and it's pronounced differently, and I don't know why. But I'm like bro, like, okay, you know how, like in the original in the initial seasons, where with the fan service, quote-unquote, it was like kind of cute within a way it's like okay, a little fan service here and there, no problem, no problem, they ramped that up a little bit.
Speaker 1:in 100 years I was not ready for the level of sexual innuendo in this series, like especially when you get to the fairy nail part where it's like what in the entire? I mean you not wrong, I definitely um for Urza oh, you know what With Kyria I'm glad you remind me Of that when Kyria Used this spell to like kind of Take her strength away, but not like physical Strength, but more like her.
Speaker 3:Mental, her will.
Speaker 1:Her will, her willpower right, and it's like we gotta do what they say. Guys, please forgive me, but the funniest part is, you know. What got me locked in, and it's like we gotta do what they say. Guys, please forgive me, but the funniest part is you know what got me locked in for 100 Year Quest, the part where Kiria had Urza on a fucking leash. And then, next thing, you know, kiria slaps Urza on the ass and sat her on like she was a chair.
Speaker 3:I was like you know what, Let me watch this show. I knew you were gonna say that. I knew you were gonna say that that was your part.
Speaker 2:No, no, listen, I was sitting up here like I ain't gonna lie, I spilled my coffee. Yep, that was in the moment where every fanfic writer out there got on their computers, notebooks, anything, that's when they intensely typed as much fanfic stories as they could possible.
Speaker 3:When they saw that, oh, my god, I was not ready. I felt. I felt I felt so ashamed I wanted to close my eyes. I was like no, you can't do arza like this.
Speaker 1:I had to rewind that moment like at least three times. I'm like wait, hold on.
Speaker 3:You were running in the moment and I'm covering my eyes with a pillow. How dare us.
Speaker 1:It was one of those moments where it just happened so fast and it was so unbelievable. At the same time, I'm like, wait a minute. I'm having a hard time processing that this actually happened.
Speaker 2:Neurons activated. I'm having a hard time processing that this actually happened.
Speaker 3:Neurons activated yeah, no, that that moment was super freaking crazy and honestly, I can't lie. That's definitely what locked me in. I can't lie and say it wasn't, but it just I couldn't believe that they did that. I was flabbergasted, I was shocked. How dare they? Now I did, of course, you know Urza giving her strength back towards the end. It was also super funny when she went to go rescue Natsu and Wendy and they like.
Speaker 1:But bitch, we still on a ship oh yeah, oh okay, we for mvp number one, randis, just showing up out of nowhere like, oh well, you know, I was gonna go to go tina to get the aquarius. Oh you, you didn't know about that, right? Yeah, like her key. Like her key showed up and it's in that area and I'm like you know I shouldn't be helping the enemy but at the same time, after that Spriggan, uh, you know Alvarez, all that you know being defeated and all that, uh, the Spriggan 12 disbanded and all that, I'm like you know what it's whatever at this point, and you know what, you're cool, lucy, you cool. But yeah, I'm still gonna get the key from you.
Speaker 1:So, like you know, because aquarius is, uh, you know, kind of like I'm going to say like a family member, but you know, like kind of like I can't put like a the kind of person you can kind of raise them in a way, you know, like a guardian.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can see that.
Speaker 1:So it's like kind of that bond. So, uh, brandon's going to go try to get the key, but she helped out, uh, when she could. She also comes back when it was a whole thing with the Wood Dragon too. But we'll get to that. But, yeah, like sleeper, mvp number one, brandon.
Speaker 3:Man she was, and also this was funny to me how the heck Brandon found the ship faster than Lucy.
Speaker 2:You know what? I never thought about that.
Speaker 3:Like she just finding everything way faster. Lucy's supposed to already have been there saving her friends. And then how she found Gray. Yeah, like I mean, I guess what convenience you know I mean, I get it, but brandish definitely was showing up out of nowhere. You're right, mvp, you right and you know what, I ain't gonna lie. She showed up like a baddie. Her little boat was perfect. Yeah, she had the little drink, like she had a mimosa, everything, and she had the little umbrella. I was like she living it up.
Speaker 2:She's really that character. That's like I'd rather not do this. I'd rather chill right now. But you know what? I'll get out the house and do this.
Speaker 1:It's like she feels like a spirit animal. It's like I feel that I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 3:When she showed up in that boat, I was like I wish I was with you. I wish I would rather just be on a cruise from where and away. Yes, oh my God With a green wig, absolutely. Yes, oh my god with a green wig, absolutely across your path to shrink, oh my god, that would be so great big old ships on the way shrink. I don't need that power Hold on.
Speaker 1:Speaking of springing 12 and whatnot even though we're kind of jumping ahead a little bit how we kind of mentioned the hands rising up from the ground, kind of like what happened in the last arc, but with the whole thing, with Toca the white wizard and you know the thing, with toka the white wizard and you know the parallel with zero being the black wizard uh, mira jane, how you feel about the fact that to a degree sometimes, with some things going on in hundred year quest, it's kind of like call back to previous seasons, like have you noticed that?
Speaker 3:I definitely. I definitely noticed that. I think I'll be honest with you. Yeah, I noticed it, but I was so focused on, like the moment and all of the new information that was like being given to me Because, like God, jill having a baby.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's like you know that's the funny thing, like Libby being pregnant okay, that's good, but it it's like you know that's the funny thing like Libby being pregnant okay, that's good, but it's almost like hold on. So these characters be fucking for real.
Speaker 3:I mean we knew that.
Speaker 1:It's like, yeah, you know, but it's like making it canon is more like yeah, Like, and that it's like, I'm sorry, and it's like it's like I'm sorry, but it's like that one episode of She-Hulk where it's like Captain America fucks, like I mean the implication, like we kind of knew.
Speaker 3:But it's like it feels weird now that it's canon yeah, and I was like wait, wait, like I could not wrap my mind Around the fact that that was what Was going to happen. And then I also just like I love the callback of, of, not Erashion, says Um, jalal Jalal's, uh, jalal Jalal's crew.
Speaker 1:Hold on. Are you talking about when they were doing the Tower of Heaven Thing or like Crime Sorcier?
Speaker 3:Crime Sorcier.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 3:Yeah, crime Sorcier. Like I love when they were Kind of about to, when they were kind of about to when they were fighting the tree dragon. Yeah, when they were fighting the tree dragon, I loved how, in their minds, they're like going to this place and they're seeing the people of past guilds and in their past and they're like that's the reminder of like, hey, bro, like you're supposed to be moving forward with your life. I don't know what you're doing, but you need to pull yourself together, right, and then I'm not even gonna lie. I'm not even gonna lie. I feel like lucy has earned the right to be natu's girlfriend. Forget Liliana.
Speaker 1:No, honestly, the fact that when Toka was showing up at first Talking about oh, natsu's, my darling, and Liliana just was Like unfazed by that. You know that Liliana, uh Lissana Excuse me, uh, lissana, was Not even a romantic option anymore. It's like she was like a little too cool about it as well. Like nah, I don't, like not as a friend at this point, so it's like it don't matter anymore. Like lucy's, like the main contender at this point exactly, and that she should be the only contender.
Speaker 3:Lisana never really mattered in the first place, it's okay yeah, it was all like.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like lasagna was like a little boo thing back in the day, but you know I moved on to um you know, you know not to don't even realize he moved. I was like oh well, true man, it's not a bad thing.
Speaker 1:Oh, speaking of which, I like how, when at the end, where Natsu had To consume Ignea's plane by the way, ignea being the True son of Igneo and I like how Ignea Did the thing where Kind of called attention to one of my main grapes about fairy tale, like okay, not gonna lie, friendship is great. But Ignea was like hey, nah, nah, nah, fuck all that power friendship shit. I need you to fight me one on one with your own strength.
Speaker 2:I agree with that so much. And that's to fight me one-on-one with your own strength. Yep, yep, I agree with that so much and, honestly, that's one of the things I'm looking forward to the most, and I think there was a chapter that I never read yet that had to do with Ignea showing up again. But I'm so interested to see how Natsu and Ignea might fight Because, first of all, I'm only thinking how in the world, when these two fight, how will, like, their fire affect each other? And that's definitely one of my first few questions on that and, second, it's like it'd be a cool callback to, if not to, tap into that one power again. But this is from previous seasons, before 100 Years Quest, but this is one of the characters who actually managed. He might be the only guy who managed to do this, but he's the only guy who managed to actually burn Natsu and it hurt. His name starts with a Z and I can't remember it.
Speaker 1:Zancro.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he's the guy with the God Slaying Flames up until Natsu ate that I kind of would like to see N to tap into that power again somehow, along with, like, maybe, the Dragon King flames and whatnot. Right, I think that'd be a pretty interesting time right.
Speaker 1:But uh, like I was saying like essentially Lucy had to help not succumb to his senses and the next day not to waking up like hey man, like I don't remember much of what happened the other day, so like can you like fill me in? Did I say anything weird? It was almost like he. It was almost like he was treating himself like he had a blackout, like he was like blackout drunk last night, blackout drunk with power. And then, um, tapio was like hey, you were saying some kind of weird shit. But then again you're like kind of normal at the same time, like it's whatever dog, it's like okay, cool, cool.
Speaker 1:And then lucy is like hey, bro, you were fucking tripping last night wait hold on like I'm hearing two different things now, she went in, she was going in and I was like you burned my chest with your fucking plans and then he pulled up that chair. I was like let me see they, alright. I was like he knew.
Speaker 3:Listen, that was lowkey. One of my favorite parts too, because the way it looked Like, the way it was all staged and filmed, it was like a little beautiful moment between happy and not too, and it was like yeah man, you know it was a pretty wild night, man, but we survived and you're here and everything's great.
Speaker 3:And lucy come in and like nah, I'm gonna let you know. Last you fucked me up, okay, so I'm going to need your ass to pull your shit together. Don't ever, don't ever do that shit again. And I was like damn Lucy, you right what the hell did.
Speaker 2:I do.
Speaker 3:Right and Nasu just like wait, let me see.
Speaker 1:Let me see them titties. They were already healed up. I was like oh, Rookie right, right. So, casually though it's whatever, they're mine anyways oh, it's whatever, they're mine anyways.
Speaker 3:How did you? What did you think?
Speaker 1:about toka having uh like the split personality kind of thing, because at first I thought toka could be like uh low-key, dumb, bad guy. But so come to find out that not only it was like a split personality type thing, but uh, toka was also an xc2. So I was like, okay, see, that was the thing. At first I thought 100 years quest was more simple than I thought like. I was thinking like, okay, just um, defeat the five dragon gods. Like yeah, that may not be easy beat, but at least the plot was simple enough.
Speaker 1:But then it got um more complicated to where, okay, this white mage is trying to like essentially do the same thing that xerath was doing, but in a different way. I guess it was like this grandiose way of like uh resetting society and whatnot, that sort of thing, and I thought it was kind of cool. But then it's like next thing, you know, you get a whole bunch of other shit going on with the wood dragon and um the plot behind Celine and old come to find out that the white wizard isn't even the real um antagonist of this whole shit. It was selene, who's like pulling the string behind the scenes where she wanna uh fucking kill off all the dragons. So that way it'll be like the age of the human and she's gonna be living her life uhised as a human but, and you know, she's gonna live with the dragon eaters and Diabolos to help her out with this quest.
Speaker 1:And I'm seeing like hold, hold, hold on, hold on it's like see, this is the thing about these arcs where it's like you're thinking like okay, I can follow along with this plot at first, but then the plot thickens like once every like five episodes and you're like wait.
Speaker 3:Hold on, wait a minute.
Speaker 2:I can't tell how many times a plot twist and broke my ankles at this point.
Speaker 1:It's like I'm having narrative whiplash.
Speaker 3:It was. I ain't gonna even lie this. I think that's why this arc really definitely reminded me of why I fell in love with fairytale in the first place. Like good storylines, definitely more under the hood yeah, like it was definitely, it was definitely, it was just way better it it? It brought me back all the way in and I don't know there was something so good about this arc that I can't even put it in words right now. It also kind of reminded me of it, reminded me of Naruto a little bit yeah, because like with.
Speaker 3:It reminded me of Naruto a little bit. Yeah, because, like With, with Touka not being the actual Villain, right, and then we find out it's Selene. And of course we find out in Naruto that it's this goddess right, it's not. We think it's, we think it's Toby or Obito, but it's this goddess right, it's not. We think it's, we think it's Toby or Obito, but it's not Obito.
Speaker 1:Right, it's like no, no, you had it. Like. It was simply like, oh, like, come to find out that you were thinking Like Toby Obito Was like low key, running Akatsuki on behind, like making us think that Pain was the leader, but uh, he was actually the leader. But then again, uh, obito was taking orders from, uh, madara. It was kind of the whole um, mr Misi, uh, memes where, well, he's the one who wrote me into this. Well, he's the one who wrote me into this.
Speaker 1:Well, he's the one who wrote me into this Well, he's the one who wrote me into this and but essentially, like it goes beyond. That's where, like Madara was also like kind of being influenced by A mother of Chakra and White, zetsu Was like kind of like Her Disciple or whatnot, and it was like crazy in that sense, where there was like way more To it than what we thought it was.
Speaker 3:Like I loved how they did that this time around, though, and I loved how everything. This was a wild ride. Let's just let's just sum it up, as this was actually a wild ride. I did like the call back with Kana and her trying to cast uh, what was it fairy? Fairy does fairy glitter? You had it her trying to cast fairy glitter, but being so drunk on her behind that she couldn't even do it you were really just about to unleash your practical magic nuke on us, and you were drunk like who's just like yeah, I'm gonna do this, bro.
Speaker 3:She was extremely so intoxicated that she couldn't even be hypnotized.
Speaker 2:Like I would've. I would've felt better if she was Influenced under the light, knowing full well she was about to use that on me over. But, um, one scene from the whole fairy nail thing that I like when you know, like, okay, here's the thing. We talking about callbacks, right, and we get to this whole fairy nail thing where it's like like fucking split image copies of the members of fairy tale but they're like actors and shit, and I thought it was kind of funny because I'm thinking like, oh well, this is like a call back to edelis. Meanwhile we get fucking Edelus people back into the mix and once again we have a little fucking baby, Natsu Lucy, and, ok, so Lucy Ashley and Natsu Dragion from Edilis got together and, you know, made a baby and once again, just like the implication that they were fucking, and it's like it feels weird that it's canon, it's like the author knew what he was doing too, the fact that he just admitted to where.
Speaker 2:So you know, they have a child in Edilis, not the Earthland one Yet, and it's like they knew what they were doing to the Fandom. They were like you know what we're gonna Grant you guys your wish of not being together, but not the ones you currently know in Earthland.
Speaker 1:Right, especially with Lucia and naku from fairy nail, and essentially uh, naku was like hey, man, I'm getting, you ain't going to stick me with these shitty ass roles. And also can I just say I was kind of surprised that they say shitty like it was not only in the manga but also in the anime. I was like I was not prepared to hear city in fairy tale, but okay, here we are.

Speaker 1:I was definitely royally confused yeah, I was like hold on, since when did um fairy tale get pg-13?
Speaker 2:it's like certain anime, to where you know they usually don't either curse or when they don't stoop above a certain level of it's like they have certain levels of violence. But then when they kind of up the game a bit, you're just like wait, hold on when. Since when was it this violence? It's like when did they start cursing like this?
Speaker 1:like the worst you'll probably get was damn, but uh, or maybe as like, but as like. But then again it's like some anime but, like you can tell, it's like a hard PG-13, but Fairytale kind of feels like uh, it felt like it had like cleaner dialogue for the most part. You don't really hear curse words for the most part, but then it's like you heard, like you heard on that and from a variant of nasu, mind you, and it's like whoa just threw me off, but that's beside the point. Uh, what I was getting at was, uh, how he was getting upset with lucia about these roles and he was like you know what bitch I'm getting sick of? You come here, I'm gonna teach you what I said you know.
Speaker 1:And then lucy was like uh, you ain't gonna treat my variant like this, I'm gonna teach it. Uh, give him peace my mind. And then she goes in there I wouldn't recommend that, like I don't need chocolate for a minute.
Speaker 1:And then she just rolled back out there like whoa, all right, you did not expect to be seeing all that and it was like yeah, you know, they kind of talk to each other like a, uh, married couple, but you know like he seems mean to her, but you know they like they kind of go together. So it is one of those realistic relationships where I'm like you know, those kind of relationships where I'm like look here, you know, I'm gonna have to show you that's where the author was just teasing like that.
Speaker 2:He was like oh, I know my fanbase wants Knott and Loose together, but I'm gonna tease them this way, though.
Speaker 1:Just indirectly teasing people like that, like, come on it feels like something that somebody would have made a fan art comic strip of, but Hiramashima was like nah, you know what, let's make that canon, mm-hmm.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. That man knew what I needed Okay, he knew I was going to show up at his house. That man knew what I needed Okay, he knew I was gonna show up.
Speaker 2:At his house. Just having the ability, or like the power, to just be a writer and then seeing all your fans how they react and just use it against them. Just can't imagine holding that power, man. Um.
Speaker 1:Um, I would say One perfect example the late great Akira Toriyama. To where he literally created a franchise where the fans are trying to write the story for themselves, To where I'm like, hey yo, like they just keep coming up with all these ideas, these what-if scenarios, and I'm like, hey man, you know what, let's run with some of these ideas, the world is crazy.
Speaker 1:That was crazy. It's just like when you create a franchise where the possibilities are damn near endless, like, eventually, some of these ideas where I'm like, hey, you know what, that one's actually not bad. Like I might put that in a filler episode.
Speaker 2:For Fairytale. I always love to see if we're're talking about like, if there was a, I guess you can say if there was a what if thing that happened. Like, um, I think most commonly is if not too fully, I guess you can say if not too fully immersed as uh end, like if he fully became that and whatnot, like how would everything would have gone from that point on? Like a separate timeline or something oh man.
Speaker 1:But yeah, I could imagine like that one episode of what if we strange supreme to where? What if he lost his way and then the whole world just became nothing but ash. You know like how he kind of was losing himself, like kind of crashing out when he ate Igneous Flame and he was like, yeah, I'm gonna turn this whole world into ash. And then what if he actually asked him on it?
Speaker 2:Yeah, like what if he would never turn back? Like what if he never got his sentence back again? That would oof. Like what if he was never turned back? Like what if he never?
Speaker 1:got his sentence back again. Yeah uh, what else going on with this first season of 100 year quest? Because I'm, I mean, not gonna lie once again. I kind of glad that we might get more somewhere in the future. But man, I really thought maybe we can review all of it at this point.
Speaker 1:But nah you know what I'm kind of glad to see in the season two? I should just be glad. But uh, I do remember how there was this one part where essentially, um, most of the members of fairytale I guess they got brainwashed. I, I'm sorry, my memory's kind of hazy right now, I'm kind of a little bit sleepy, but um, essentially most of the members of Fairytale like including Lox's, uh was brainwashed and essentially some of them had Team Natsu and some of them had to um fight their own, um guild members. And it kind of reminded me of the whole El arc, you know black clover, where essentially the elf was uh taking over some of the members of you know magic council and whatnot and the whole that. That was the whole thing.
Speaker 1:But I think the funniest part about that whole thing I mean I don't have a whole lot to say about that part, but the funniest part was when it was gray versus mira jane, and even though everybody else was like okay, um, for the most part we we did all right in our part, but then gray was like man, fuck all that fucking Mirror Jane. I was fighting like give me a fucking break. I'm like, yeah, y'all got it easy compared to me. I had to fight fucking Mirror Jane and not only brainwashed Mirror.
Speaker 2:Yeah, no, no, you ain't won that she recalled like getting punched, and the way I don't know why, what the way she recalled getting punched made me nervous because like it's the way she said it and she had that sort of like weird smile on her face when she said it and like, uh, um, please don't hurt gray I'm not gonna lie, that was definitely that looked like.

Yeah, I was like Juvia showed up because she found out Grace off of Tix and that's it. Like this, is it she about to whoop this nigga ass? That's why I thought she showed up on the train. I was like it's about to go down and then she come with the saddest. I was like it's about to go down and then she come with the saddest news. I'm like God dang, that's not what I was looking for. But you know what? Juvia she low-key has become one of my favorites Because I, sure enough, didn't like her at first. Didn't like her at first. Yeah, she's her only character. Juvia just was at first she was kind of missing something, but like, her character development has been great, Like it's been awesome watching that and now she's turned into like, you know, she's kind of like. She's kind of like the girl next door in a weird way.

Only the only curiosity, though, I guess you could say, was I could only imagine how terrifying he would have truly been if uh, because I think, from my understanding, even though they got like a hold of him and, you know, calmed him down and all that, I think from my understanding they said something to the point of, like he wasn't even at like full strength or power like by then, even despite the trouble they had. And I'm like what was he gonna be like if he was at full power?
Speaker 1:all right, and even though I'm kind of jumping ahead because not going a lot, I was curious because I didn't like the way they kind of cut off, where I'm like hold on. It looked like some unanswered questions that you left out in the open. So I'm thinking like, okay, did they Finish 100 years quest or is it like a season 2 on the horizon? Okay, so I think he's gonna come back. It's like we think he, alderaan, is on there, but I think he's gonna come back In some form or fashion. I just don't know. Maybe I'll go back and Remember later, but, um, yeah, like I'm thinking with him he might come back and he might be even stronger, and I hope To see some great things happen. I was not prepared for irene to show up again on some agatha harkness type shit where it was like, oh well, technically I should be dead, but I'm more like a ghost right now. So it's like okay, so her secret's safe for that part. So she can't like like snitch on herself by being out in the open, but Wendy can't really say who she's like having these conversations with. So it's like Not so happy thing, like she's gone crazy, but no, but it's almost like I kind of like it Because it's almost like, until the secret's out, it's almost like, oh shit, like Wendy got a little dark side going on with her.

Speaker 1:I'm glad you brought that up, because we also had another ghost who possessed Macro oh yeah, I forgot his name, but, man, he kind of reminds me of the typical anime ghost type character. You know one of those ghost boys that isn't. You know, I'm trying to think of a different anime, but there's a whole lot that comes to mind when I, you know, find this thing.
Speaker 3:I get that. I get that. He do kind of remind you of the typical ghost boys who always want revenge. You know cause? He just came in and he was like I gotta figure out who did this and I need to find out who my killer is, and he's lost his memory, like he doesn't remember the last thing. And then possessing macross. I think the the best part about that was seeing, uh, a younger macross right and seeing how, like fairy tale has kind of always had very similar people that end up joining, and it's always people who, like, they want a family or they want friends or, you know, they're looking for a place of refuge and I don't know. It was a really sweet moment. It was a really cute little, cute little call back to the past and I really like that part. That was pretty cool.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, and once a member of fairy tale, always a member of fairy tale yeah, that's the crazy part, where it's like uh, I like fairy tale in the sense to where, when you have a friend, when you're friends with fairy tale, you have friends for life yeah sure, like no matter what, no matter what, you have friends for life when it comes to being a fairy tale guild member and you can be an honorary member.

It's not even like Magical or nothing, it's like it's like everyday is like every day. So I'm just like counting all that shit Like I'm not giving a single beat.

Speaker 1:Sometimes we get into those bar fights and then some of them will try attack you out nowhere, and then you kind of like back fist them um, almost like like a bad head, like a reflex, and then that's how you're able to, uh, know martial arts so well to where, like you're just so used to, um getting into altercations with your guild members every time you dodge the little one second trumpet from the ultra instinct being placed.
Speaker 2:And to make it worse, the enemy can hear it too oh, like what the hell is going on here.
Speaker 1:You know what's kind of funny, how I had like this one piece uh oc character that I was thinking of, where I so far call him spell singer, to where his devil fruit power is um over sound, where he can like use uh, sound waves and whatnot, where if I like say, for instance, like snap my fingers and like there's a whole bunch of shit. But, side point, like what if, um, I was able to use like sound magic and whatnot? And it's almost like I using sound magic to actually play that song so loud to where, like it just seems like it just coming from God, while the enemy is like where's that music coming from? I was like I need my own thing, it's my, I need my theme music, it's my ass-kicking music. Oh my God, not ass-kicking Boss music.
Speaker 1:Actually, you know what? It would be funny if it was like one of those really ironic songs Like honest, ah, damn. Like you know what? Watch Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged on YouTube. Watch the first episode and you'll get the reference that I'm trying to make To where I was like this is some badass music. I'm not getting my ass kicked to this and I'm like you can and you will.

Theme song and and the funniest part is that would make sense for fairy tales. Like we are, the fairy tale guild, we'll always save day, and if you think we can't, we'll always find a way. That does sound like something very total thing.

I guess you can say I kind of already know what happens, depending on what seasons I cover, but I am interested to see how they go about it though, because there will be some interesting facts that they reveal, and not to mention, there's actually you can say it's like a new power system, I suppose, but there's going to be some pretty interesting characters in the system they'll introduce, which seems a little OP Got you got you, MJ, you got anything you want to add on to 100 year quest before we close it out no, I think.
Speaker 3:I think that was really it. The only thing I was super stoked for and was hoping was gonna happen was that I got to see Aquarius. But that's not. I'm waiting to see her again.
Speaker 1:I mean, we might see her as soon as they adapt the Second half of this whole arc, because I'm like, like I said before, with the way Things were ending and there were like some things that were just Love unanswered. I'm pretty sure They'll just come back with another season, like Maybe sometime next year, because you know they're ending this in January. So I'm thinking, yeah, we're probably gonna have to wait until like at least episodes, but until then I guess we'll just be waiting.
