all right, continuing the fairy tale extreme review with seasons five and six. Ah, once again I'm being joined by mira jane and she's going to help me get through these episodes of the power of friendship prevailing once again. So let's go ahead and dive right into it. So season five I'm going to be real with y'all I can. This was the one season that I completely forgot about. This is like the one arc that I just totally forgot about.
Speaker 1:Like I remember the Daphne arc more than this arc because, like I, just going back into it, I was like thinking like wait a minute, I don't remember any of this shit. Like, okay, going back into it, I was like thinking like wait a minute, I don't remember any of this shit. Like, okay, I remember the uh butt jiggle gang, you know those uh trio of those dudes with the bbls and whatnot. And then there were like some filler, of course, but then eventually this girl, michelle, shows up, claiming to be one of lucy's relatives, talking about this large relic that's supposed to be like this memento from lucy's um late father, and she, lucy, just feel like okay, well, uh, I'll take you in, since it just seems like you got nowhere to go and we'll probably get you some work at fairy tale or whatnot. But um, eventually something was going on with the relic. Uh, makarov was Getting suspicious, uh, told Lucy not to fuck with it, but uh, you know, eventually it turns out to be part of this like hand of a Legendary clock and they just pretty much have To investigate.
Speaker 1:While these Uh, other folks, these Uh, oh the uh, while these Other folks, these, oh, the Legion platoon, like these group of crusaders who seek out the clock and lose the possession for the Archbishop Of Zentopia and essentially they're just trying to capture Lucy and try to get the Hand. So that way you have way to find, excuse me, this thing, to where you find the clock hand. And then the other is this enchanted picture book called the key of the story heavens. And before they can leave with the book, they are attacked by the legion's xe leader, samuel, and the spirit man, dan straight, and a whole bunch of other shit, going on to where eventually the neo oration say shows up with Midnight now, going by Brain 2. Fight with Natsu and Lucy and the rest of them, and obviously, of course Natsu ends up beating them. But outside of that you know just something to do. I guess, mary Jane, you had anything you want to add on to season five.
Speaker 2:I mean season five. Honestly, truly it kind of felt a little bit like filler. Honestly. I understand they've served a purpose, I understand like I understand all of the nuance behind the season, but it just it kind of fell on deaf ears. It's not memorable. There was nothing that really happened besides lux's and natu's fight, which was absolutely always great, you know, but that happens early on in the season and it's I don't know. That's all I really have to say about it, because it wasn't really. There wasn't much that happened in it that really stood out for me right, fair enough, fair enough, all right.
Speaker 1:well, yep, that's our short impression of season five. Um, just pretty much pushed through those episodes and then you get to, dare I say, the best arc of the anime so far. Like, honestly, I'm going to be real with y'all, like, after this arc, I pretty much was like tapping out of Fairytale, not because, oh, it got boring or anything, just more like I just had shit going on. And then eventually I was like I way behind on it so pretty much after the grand magic games arc.
Speaker 1:Everything else is gonna be fairly new to me, but it's gonna be an experience that I hope is going to pay off very well. So the Grand Magic Game, or pretty much in caps, is pretty much the focus of Season 6. Let's go ahead and get into that so pretty much after the whole thing, with the Legion Platoon tasked by Centofius Archb To Retreat the missing pieces of the Infinity Clock and seal them again, and before embarking on their mission they visit Fairy Tail To make amends with the guilt for their Previous hostility towards them. But that was pretty much just a Little bit of continuity towards the last season before it Gets into the new situations when Noxusying out that fairy tale is no longer the strongest guild in fjord anymore. In fact, pretty much whenever the bigger players in fairy tale um was pretty much trapped in tenro Island for seven years, sabretooth was pretty much climbing the ranks. So two of the strongest wizards in that guild is a pair of dragon slayers called Sting and Rogue. Yeah, that was his name, because I was thinking like they're Sting.
Speaker 1:And it was like one other person I keep remembering, forgetting his name. It was Rogue, that's right. So they are obsessed with fighting Natsu Dragneel getting the thing. It was Rogue, that's right. So they are obsessed with fighting Natsu Dragneel and Gajio, because you know, of course, they're dragon slayers. So I guess it just intrigues them that they just have to fight each other. And then Makara brings Gildar to their abandoned guild hall to show him a little bit of his story, which is this light that Makarov said is fairy tale's greatest secret. And then Makarov then tells Gildar that he has been chosen to become the next master of fairy tale. So pretty much Makarov's trying to pass the torch on to someone else, and I guess I can see Gildar as a as a guild master. Of course. Yeah, gildars as a guild master, of course.
Speaker 2:Yeah, gildars makes, I mean, but he's. So Gildars would have made a great choice. But we all know this man. This man is great at leaving. He is not great at sticking around for a long period of time at all. He is the epitome of. I ran out to get some milk.
Speaker 1:Bro, that reminds me of that one episode of Team Four Star, you know, leading up to the Cell saga. You know the fight with Cell. And then, like you know, Goku was talking to Chi-Chi like oh well, you know, I'm not normally that good at things like this. You know, like was talking to chichi like oh well, you know, I'm not normally not good at things like this. You know, like, uh, pep talks and whatnot, but you want to know what I'm really good at. And then chichi was like leaving and he, he answered fighting yeah that's pretty much gildar's like.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's pretty much Gildar's life yeah, gildar's.
Speaker 2:that man said I don't stick around for long, and I only stick around for a good time, so I don't think I think what Macrob was trying to do was get him to stick around longer. If he's, you know, the leader of Fairytale, then he has to he's trying to remind me of he's trying to sound like that noncommittal boyfriend that the girl was like.
Speaker 1:If only he would just act right.
Speaker 2:If only Not. If only he would just act right. If only not. If only he would just act right. If only he would just accept that I'm his girlfriend, that he's my boyfriend, that we're in a relationship together. It's like Guild Arts doesn't understand that he's a part of a guild, but he claims the guild, but doesn't understand that he has to actually be there for the guild but he claims the guild but doesn't understand that he has to actually be there for the guild.
Speaker 1:It's like, okay, um, cool, I'm part of a guild. Now like, wait a minute, hold on. I have to like be friends with these people. I have to show up and talk to them. What?
Speaker 2:you know what this plays on his absentee fatherism. So much you know what this plays on his absentee fatherism. So much this plays on him being an absentee father, like even though he did not know and, as we find out later, like you know, when he finds out, you know he's like, oh, he did not stick around long enough, okay yeah, so empty who?
Speaker 1:uh, now that they know that the Grand Magic Games is coming up, they pretty much have to train up trying to get in shape before the games start. They came across Jalal, ultir and Merity, who formed their own guild Crime Sorcier to defeat any of the dark guilds that use their power. Okay, so alright, jalal is one thing. Ultir I hate this bitch at this point, I just really do and Merity like I'm gonna be honest with you, I find Merity kind of funny ever since that one time when she was like saying oh yeah, I'm going to kill all these fairytale wizards and the number one person on my list is Gray and then Judy's like what'd you say, bitch?
Speaker 2:Listen, she was not going gonna lay a hand on great. Let's be honest here. There was no way juvia was gonna let excuse. That girl said excuse the hell out of me. Who are you talking to?
Speaker 2:like, julia is the epitome of protective girlfriend all day long and honestly I love it yeah like yandere uh energy yeah, but it wasn't too over, it wasn't too yandere, it was just enough to where I was like I mean, yeah, they have to tone it down to where it's like okay, you know that she has the murderous intent, but you know it's fairytale.
Speaker 1:Like we can't go overboard with this shit Fact.
Speaker 2:That's so true, that's so fact.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So essentially they're trying to get ready, up and everything and basically hold on. And as they were, natsu, lucy, gray, Urza and Wendy are chosen to represent Fairytale and the Grand Magic Games. They decide to go to Fjord's capital, krokus. They tour the city. Natsu and Happy cowders, the twin dragon slayers, sting and rogue who might not for not being able to kill agnologia and both of becoming true dragon slaves by killing the dragons who raised. I'm like what the fuck guys come?
Speaker 2:on yo, yo like honestly that part when they said that I was like y'all. Y'all, some demons Like y'all are no longer dragon slayers, y'all are just demons. Because from what we've known is that all of the dragons are super nice and super parenting and super loving, and that's all that we know about this. And you can even see how much Wendy loves Grandini, right, she's like that's my mom, in a way, like I don't know anyone anything else other than that's the person who raised me, that's the person who loved me. And then, not to mention third, these are third generation dragon slayers. Okay, so we have second generation and that's mostly luxus at this point. Um, and then we meet these third generation dragon slayers and they think they're so big and bad because they killed their dragons and they have lacrimal implanted in them. But really, in my opinion, they were still just artificial dragon slayers, just like luxus. They could not compare to the first generation of dragon slaves. But I digress, let's continue on into this fairy tale. Mind that they had fairy tale, sorry no, you're good.
Speaker 1:Uh, of course. Yeah, they ran to them. And at midnight the fairies, uh, uh and other participating guilds are put through this uh preliminary event, which is a race through this massive floating labyrinth. Uh, designed to narrow the numbers of participating guilds down to 18, so pretty much they go through the labyrinth. Um, when he goes missing, elfman replaces her to keep them from being eliminated. They make their way through the labyrinth. The five count. The other guilds try to steal maps made by the other guilds to better navigate the maze. They managed to reach the end of the maze and pass the elimination round, and they were.
Speaker 1:They thought they were feeling really good about themselves by coming in first, but they found out that they were in last place, so like they barely qualified to move on. So I was like aww shit.
Speaker 2:I mean also, I'm sorry, but why do we f***ing slayers on a moving when they all have motion? This was the only part I was like this is the funniest scene, because they all have motion sickness. Yeah, why put them? Why are they the ones competing in that tournament?
Speaker 1:I don't know, maybe it's more like comedic effect, where you know you just gotta make fun of the fact that they have motion sickness.
Speaker 2:That part was hilarious. I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 1:So meanwhile, happy Lasana and the rest of the guild search for Wendy and Carla, and they eventually find the two in the garden of the king's palace. Uh, I'm curious, with their magic power depleted. So Wendy's body was weakened as a result of losing her magic power. And, uh, porliusica oh my god, that name's just gonna. I'm just gonna call her Porli, because fuck all that Helps her recover. She formally requests Elfman to take her place in the, the grand magic game, and fairy tale steps into the arena With two negative audience perceptions. Well, not two, my bad With a negative audience perception, but they were voiced by their team guildmates In the spirit of Mavis, who only the fairy tale guildmates can see. And that's kind of funny too, too, to where, like, oh, they can participate in Magic Games and the original Guildmaster can, like, take this Astral Form and oversee it, but only Fairytale members can see her. I'm like, okay, I guess.
Speaker 2:I thought that was kind of interesting. Though I thought that was kind of fun yeah.
Speaker 1:So the I thought that was kind of interesting, though I thought that was kind of fun, yeah, so the next four participating teams are revealed to be Quattro, cerberus, mermaid, heel Blue, pegasus and Lamia Scale, and following them is Raven Tail, a former Dark Guild led by Makarov's son, ivan. Oh fuck, ivan, I don't know. And who confessed. Oh, he's the one who attacked Wendy and Carla.
Speaker 2:Alright, everybody.
Speaker 1:Throw a quarter on that motherfucker. He gotta die.
Speaker 2:He gotta go. You do not. Deadbeat daddy of the year, deadbeat daddy Of the century Because you experimented on your own son and now you do. You just have a fetish for attacking children yeah, he's like fuck these kids I truly feel like that's exactly what he's saying, but fuck him. What I thought was really super cool was that we had two fairytale teams and there was no other guild that had this. We had fairytale A and fairytale B, and what I loved was that Freaking Jalal had to step in as Miss Sokka.
Speaker 1:Nah see, it felt a little unfair. How it was, like their team was gajil uh, juvia mira jane laxus angela, this guy's just gone, like you said, and I'm like bro, like jesus that team was way too op. But you know, I felt like it made a good balance because we also have you gotta think about it, we have, I mean they're not weak, like Team A is not weak, but you know, like Bonatsu Lucy, uh, urza Gray, uh, it was Wendy, but it got replaced with Elton and uh.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that was about it. That was about it on team Nasu, but yeah. But when you think about Team B, it's like oh shit, like if team A doesn't do it, I'm feeling pretty good about team B.
Speaker 2:Oh, facts, facts, facts. I was definitely to be honest. Team b had a lot more firepower technically than team a, because you would, technically, you technically have two, three, three, uh, a ranked or s ranked sorcerers. At this point, you got Luxus, mirajane and Jalal technically right, even though he is playing as Mistogon, but we all know how powerful Jalal is at this point. So, and the fact that he's gonna have to pretend to use Mistogon's powers, which I think is absolutely hilarious, that that's something he has to do. And but this team was was, both teams were well stacked, but Team B, you're not wrong, they, they was competing and, honestly, they all look like killers. Team B, they just look like they came to murder people.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and then the final guild to show up is, of course, sabretooth, much to the joy of the audience because you know, at this point they're Fjord's favorites. So, with all eight teams being announced, they each send out one member to participate in the first contest of the game, with Gray and Juvia representing their teams, uh, which is the night of shooting stars. Well, actually, the first concept is called hidden to where, uh, they gotta have eight participants score points by finding and attacking each other in a virtual city filled with copies of themselves. So ray brven still had this one member called now pudding, and for some reason this person keep going after gray, who scores last place in the contest, while saber tooth rufus, uh, was scoring first by using his memory, make magic to attack all the other participants at once so ray wants revenge against raven tail and saber tooth, and afterwards lucy chose to fight raven tail member flair in the moment's first battle round.
Speaker 1:And I'm like, bro, like lucy versus flair was fucking wrenching because, like for starters, like even though lucy was uh doing pretty well against flair, uh being able to summon uh two spirits at once now, but flair ends up cheating by using her magic hair to hold uh all zach and visca's uh daughter, oscar, as a hostage and then blackmailing lucy into not fighting back to keep her from harming Asuka. And then basically, flare was just taking advantage of her. But Natsu was able to sense the danger and rushes to Asuka and incinerates Flare's hair, allowing Lucy to counterattack with Oranometria and a combination with Gemini, but before the spell fully activated, flair's teammate, obra no, fights lucy's magic, calling her to collapse and lose the match. So that was unfair, bro, like I.
Speaker 2:It was super unfair. It was like, and just the brutality, that flair was with that beating. I was just like this this is the first time I looked at Lucy and I was like she is a fairy tale, like she is a fairy tale wizard, because she took that beating, like she didn't give up, she didn't quit, she like in a moment just to save someone's life. She's like I'm just gonna attempt to forfeit, right, and that's that's when I'm like and I felt so bad for her because she just was really going through it. This was one of and for this to be the first battle. It set a tone, right like I honestly looked at it when it first came up and was like, oh, whatever, lucy's gonna come in with some friend magic and she's gonna win. I did not know it was gonna be as heart-wrenching and as gut-wrenching as it was, and the fact that we did not get to see Uranometria go off pissed me off so much.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It was the worst tease ever in a fight, because I was so stoked to see this happen. I was like, yes, yes, and I'm not going to lie, they was definitely Oprah, oprah, oprah, oprah, oprah could have caught some hands, bro, because he Whatever that thing is. But this fight set the tone for the matches going forward and it lit a fire. It lit a crazy fire underneath the teams, under both teams, because they were like we are fairytale at this point and if you hurt one of our members, we coming for you Period. So that first match was great, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:Now with the next few matches. You know, blue Pegasus wins against Mermaid Heel, sabertooth wins against Quattro Cerberus. Jalal ends up fighting Lamia, scales Jura, but he's not very good at keeping up with the facade of trying to use magic, but it's ineffective against Jura, and Jalal was pretty much forced his hand and tried to use his own magic, and before he casted a spell that exposed his true identity, altair decided to use Merida's sensory to force Jalal into submission. And then Carla, who was hospitalized, wakes up and have like a premonition of the future. That doesn't really bode well.
Speaker 1:And then there's the whole thing with the chariots where, okay, so fairy tales, undaunted, with their poor performance on the first day, but you know, they're trying to keep up their confidence and what not. And then they are being visited and taunted by this dude, bacchus and Urza's rival from Quattro Cerebras, who has come to replace Warcry. Now Carla relays her premonition of poorly, saying that she saw Mercurius collapsing around what appeared to be a tearfully singing Lucy. And the second day of the tournament begins with a foot race on top of a train of moving chariots, causing the participants Nasu, gadiel and Sting to suffer from motion sickness as a side effect of their Dragon Slayer match. Why are they doing this to these people? I don't know.
Speaker 2:I don't know, but I thought it was even funnier because it affects all dragon slayers, no matter what generation. It affects all generations of dragon slayers.
Speaker 1:It's like in the One Piece world, where you eat a devil fruit but you can't swim anymore. It doesn't matter what your powers are. It's like in the one piece world, where you eat a devil fruit but you can't swim anymore. It's like doesn't matter what your powers are. It's like you still can't swim unless it's like a fish man or something you.
Speaker 2:You can be big mom, okay, you can be. I hate to tell you like it and that this, this part right here, anytime it was happening, the chariot race was definitely. That's something fairchild does really well. It will give you something to cry about and then we'll give you something to laugh about, but it never feels offbeat. Yeah, it doesn't feel forced. It feels very much well written a part of the story and this episode fit well in. Like seeing, even seeing sting, who's talking all this trash, right, just, but he's barely holding on, just like ganjo and natsu, even seeing that it brings such a humility, even though they've been talking all this trash about them being the number one dragon slayers and all this stuff. But yeah, you the number one dragon slayer, and so you gotta ride a vehicle.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And then eventually, as Natsu and Gadiel try to force themselves forward, sting was inquired about their determination, to which Natsu responds that it is a result of their strength of fairytale spawn, you know, like the typical fairytale spiel. And then Sting was like you know what fuck all this, I throw the match. I mean not throw the match, I throw the race. And Natsu and Gadiel finish in 6th and 7th respectively. And suddenly the audience started to warm up to Fairytale a little bit. And then that's when Elfman starts to fight away with Bacchus, to where essentially Elfman was chosen to be Bacchus's opponent instead of urza. And before the match commenced, uh, the opponents make a wager if bakas win, he will court elfman's sister, and if elfman wins, baka's team name will be changed to quattro puppy forever known as quattro puppy.
Speaker 2:I could not, cannot wait to get to this point. Yeah, and also, let's talk about how the running of the Magic Games and they were like ooh, I wanted to see the person, the name that starts with an E go against Bacchus. Right, let's talk about how they out here setting up matches. Okay, because what the hell? What kind of show is this this? What are y'all doing behind the scenes? Who y'all think y'all are scheduling? And then, like I'm up here just when, when that scene happens, I'm up here like is this football? Like y'all rigging matches? Do y'all got bets? What are we doing here?
Speaker 2:And what was so interesting about this is that everyone thought Elfman was going to lose. Everyone had just written him off already. They were like there's no way, right, he's not going to win against Bacchus. Elfman puts up the fight of a lifetime and he's learned so much along the way about how to control his powers by this point. And it was so impressive because, while we know Urza is one of the strongest, is honestly probably as strong as one can get as a fairy tale member, elfman stepped up to the plate and I don't want to say he bodied bakas, because it was a tough fight, but he bodied bakas and that was a great, that that was such a great moment in in this tournament. I I almost teared up a little bit, honestly I feel that.
Speaker 1:So of course, elfman ends up being buck. Is uh, quattro, three percent, to be known as quattro, a puppy from now on, and meanwhile, not to find wendy, carla and poorly. And meanwhile, natsu finds Wendy, carla and Forley being kidnapped by a group of masked men. Upon being caught, the men claim that they were hired to kidnap Lucy by Raven's Hill, and they are soon revealed to have actually been sent by Arcadios, who intends to sow discord between the guild and applause, to use Lucy for its eclipse project, but Discord between the guild, how he plots to use Lucy for his Eclipse project. But let's talk about Mirror Jane vs Jenny.
Speaker 1:Alright, so the second Day of the Grand Magic Games, you were thinking that, oh well, mirror Jane is going to fight this one girl, and they both happen to be well-known magazine models, right. And they were like, oh well, you know, it's not going to be a fight, fight, it's just going to be a fashion showdown, so much to the pleasure of the audience. You know, the girls were getting dressed up and eventually the showdown became kind of redundant. Jenny was like all right, I got a bet for you and yeah, that's pretty much going to be the route that they're going with this uh tournament to where, all right, the loser must pose nude for the weekly sorcerer magazine. And then jenny, transformed into her battle armor, while mirror jane shifts into her satan soul citry form and easily defeats Jenny.
Speaker 1:And the final match of the day has been announced, with Kagura Mikazushi of Mermaid Heel pitted against Yukino Agurita of Sabertail. Yukino proposed to Kagura that they wager their lives on their battle and meanwhile Arcadio seems to be confronted by Thornton, the Kingdom Defense Minister, about the Eclipse Project. But before I go any further, mirror Jane, what are your thoughts on this episode?
Speaker 2:Well, as you can tell, I am in my finest form in this episode. Okay, I came to play, but no, seriously, like it was. Like I said, fairy tale does such a good job of getting you hooked into a moment, right, and then taking that moment and turning it into a laughter and turning it into a smile and like when you're all worked up emotionally, they give you something to laugh about or something to to just ponder about or or just smile about. And this was the. Honestly, I ranked it as top three fights of all time because, hear me out, I know there was no action. Hear me out.
Speaker 2:Okay, everyone ends up getting involved in this. Okay, everyone ends up pulling out some of their best outfits, some of their best moments. Like, how does everybody start getting involved in this? And not only that, we get the because they do the whole wedding ceremony and like posing your best wedding dress and seeing everyone come out in in their finest forms, seeing Juvia have her fantasy moment with freaking Gray, and then not only that, but this, all this moment actually solidifies something very big. It solidifies that Lisana is no longer the love of Natsu's life and she has officially been replaced by Lucy.
Speaker 2:And while it was bittersweet. I loved how they approached this moment and I loved how they did it in such a cute, subtle way. And then, next thing you know, back to the fight, right like straight from modeling competition, straight from mayhem and chaos to I'm done playing with you. Jenny, mary, jane's ghost, satan soul, citry and beat that ass. And I love how, like quietly and silently, urza's, just like that's her strongest satan soul, like what kind of nod is that? Like you can't just like casually put that in conversation, urza, but this was honestly one of my favorites.
Speaker 2:And I honestly, what do you think? Because I mean, this is like prime fan service.
Speaker 1:All right, let's go ahead and talk about Kagura versus Yukino. So, with Yukino turning out to be a celestial spirit and she ends up summoning Libra, pisces and Alpiancas, I'm hoping I'm wrong and I'm just keep thinking that, bro, when is Lucy gonna get those keys? Because every time I see those keys like the, the uh, the special celestial keys it's like it's only a matter of time before Lucy gets those. And then, using her gravity-altering magic, kagura was able to defeat the two spirits. Um, yukino ends up using all for Yukino, but she ends up um back getting beat too. Um, eventually, kagura just easily defeats Yukino and Shiroa discusses the fact that he has not, since the Iwa, power similar to Zero's, even though the second day of Grand Magic Games has ended. So Urza reunites with Miliana, who's revealed to be a member of Mermaid Heel.
Speaker 1:Sabretooth's master, ziema, is dissatisfied with the guild's performance and, though Thing is given another chance, ziema humiliates Yukino after her failure.
Speaker 1:After Yukino was expelled from Sabretooth, she's offered that literally the next episode. Like, yukino gives the golden keys to Lucy to complete the ladder selection, I was like I thought it was like some sort of fight or some shit. But oh yeah, she just gives them the keys, like okay, well, shit, cool, and now also stating that when the 12 Zodiac keys are all gathered, a gateway that changed the world will open. So, however, lucy turns down the offer and oh well, shit, I spoke too soon, like um, so she could have had the keys. But she was like and nah, I'm good man, I'm like, but why not? Like you already have, like most of them. I don't know, maybe that's just the fairy tale when she's just not really interested In power that much, but I'm pretty sure she's going to get those keys later. Meanwhile, miliana tells Urza that Kagura's arch enemy Is intended to kill Jalal and that she and Kagura share the same resentment towards Jalal. Natsu and Happy run after Yukino and attempt to apologize.
Speaker 1:However, natsu reveals that Yukino has been expelled and infiltrates the Kuroka's garden to fight Ziyama. And then we have the whole event with the pandemonium being brought up to where, after Nasu punched out on Dormengald, the guild members summoned to fight him, he and Zemma engage in this duel. However, the guild master's daughter, minerva, appears and ends their duel in taking Happy Hossus, convincing Nasu to settle their dispute in the grand magic game. Nasu leaves, he stays to saber to that neighbor. They would never surpass fairy tale because they care for their friends, words that echo by rogue and while staying is loved and all at Nasu strength.
Speaker 1:So, falling day, grand magic Games continue. Pandemonium begins and involves the participants entering a magical citadel filled with 100 monsters of varying strength and individually doing battle with any number of monsters they choose, saying fairytale team a is earth or scarlet. And bro, she fucking cleared this whole shit, like you know, like ironcrad and all fucking sao. I believe she will just like clear the shit out, whoa man. But yeah, so like she kills a hundred monsters using various types of armor to master strength and weaknesses and as a result, uh, the crowd praises the fairy tale and the guild is awarded with 10 points, but uh, moreover, the game official decided to determine the ranks of the remaining participants by means of a device called the magic power finder also called mp.
Speaker 1:So, using this tool, the participants must attack it with their magic power, which, in turn, will calculate and display their equivalent score, depending on the extent of the power used. So, in other words, this started to remind me of what they did in Dragon Ball Z, the Majin Buu saga, where they were getting ready for the tournament and everybody had to punch that little thing to determine what kind of strength they were working with.
Speaker 2:But as soon as Vegeta got up to the um back he was like nah, I'm not holding back, just fucking destroy that shit bro, bro, that junk was so crazy and I and I actually really like that they used the mpf here, because it was definitely you know. I feel like it was an homage to that moment.
Speaker 1:So, using this tool, participants attack it with the magic power. And let's see in the end, kana of Fairy Tail, team B, dominates the event by using the fairy glitter spells lent to her by Mavis, much to Makarov's surprise. So, with Kana winning Fairy Tail, team B receives eight points and the audience began to burst once more for the resounding swarm of cheers and clap and praise. And all that due to the finish of two fairytale teams. And they, meanwhile, the Ravens tail team, somehow managed to get an insider information garden. The battle matchup for today. So the mask leader, alexi, tells his subordinates, flare Obra, now putting in Korahibi, that it's about time to proceed with their true mission. And I'm like, oh boy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I thought this was gonna be so devious. I'm gonna be honest with you. But quickly, I thought it was super cool that Mavis reveals like something that we kind of already knew, but that Kana actually has a lot of latent abilities, and I hate that we didn't really get to see what those latent abilities are going to be Like. We get a little bit more later, but it was really cool to see Kana have her moment. It was like this season was such a good moment. Everyone got to shine in their own way. This was great.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So Laxus versus Alexi. And in the battle portion of the Grand Magic Games, third day, miliana of Mermaid. He'll beat Simmons of Quattropuffy, while Sabretooth of Rufus Swiftly defeats Blue Pegs' Eve.
Speaker 1:And for the third match, lex of Fairytale Team Beast chose to battle against Alexi of Team Raven Tail. Since the opponent is from a suspicious guild, the Fairyt tale members take extra precautions by watching the actions of Ivan and as well as the other four Raven tail members. However, as the match commences, the spectators are shocked to see that Lax is being beaten by Alexi, although no cost movement can be seen from the Raven tail team turns out that the two dueling people Are just illusions created by Alexi in order for him to have A talk with Laxus, and also the other Ravensdale members being Monitored by Fairytale Are also lifelike illusions, for in reality they are with Alexi in the battlefield. Alexi reveals himself to be Ivan, shocker and unable to interrogate Laxus of the movement. Historic location Ivan and the Raven Tale members are forced to fight him and before the battle begins, ivan declares that Raven Tale is an anti fairy tale guild. No really, I couldn't tell. By the way, that y'all named your guild Raven Tale.
Speaker 2:Oh my god. So original, unless he gets on the air Whatever, bro, are you really mad? Bro we need a DNA test, please.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because I just don't believe Y'all are related. So after Laxus defeats Ivan and the four Ravensdale Elite members, ivan's illusions disappear to the shock of everyone in the stadium, and the game officials declare that Laxus is the winner, and Ivan tells them that Lumiere's story is fairytale's darkness. Due to the infraction of the rules, raven's tail team is disqualified for the remainder of the games. The members are captured by the soldiers. Wendy of fairytale team A and Sharia Blendy of team Lamia scale face off to compete for the final match of the day, and as the two exchange their attacks, augusta Wind surrounds the area, since Sharia is revealed to be a Sky God Slayer Okay, I didn't see that coming. I didn't see that coming. And Wendy employs an advanced Sky Dragon Slayer attack, much to poorly's astonishment, causing Sheria to fall into the ground. Wendy is about to be announced as the winner of the bout when Sheria suddenly stands up with her wounds fully healed. Meanwhile, the crime associates guilt, since the nefarious aura and Jalal proceeds to adorn his foul audience, oblivious that he bumped into Dorenbo, who in turn turns uh wonder, who is Mistagon doing in Earthland? So I was like oh shit, uh, I wonder how this is gonna pan out. So, um, just a few more episodes like one, two. I wonder how that's going to pan out. So, just a few more episodes like one, two, five, six episodes, and that'll be it. So, essentially, with Sherry being fully healed and Wendy being almost depleted of magic power, their battle continues with the former casting of high-level spell, torchette Ladder. However, it seems that Wendy depleted magic power, their battle continues with the former casting of high level spell towards a ladder. However, it seems that wendy enhances sherry's physical strength, causing the attack to gain much force and thus missing wendy. Uh, the two competitors engaged in hand to hand uh, but due to the time limit and neither of them gave up, it resulted in a draw and both teams get five points. Meanwhile, jalal, trying to trap the sinister aura among the crowd from the former hooded stranger and was about to confront the source, but was cornered by Doran Bolt, lahar and other rune knights. Doran Bolt interrogates Jalal and, as discovered, was Blah. The rune knights, as well as Cogra and Miliana glancing nearby, are startled to see the true identity of Mysticon Yajima and convinces the Rune Knights that Mysticon is J'Law's Edelest counterpart, prompting Lahar to release the fugitive. Meanwhile, laxus and Makarov have a small conversation regarding Lumen's story and when mavis appear and explain that lumen's story is the light of fairy tale. Now, the law is very lucky that edelweiss is now common knowledge to where it's like, oh well, that's not, uh, the law, that's mystica, because, remember, mystica is Jalal's Edelweiss counterpart. And I was like, oh well, I got the wrong guy. Then no, y'all had the right guy. But you know, whatever, there was a naval battle going on to where? Excuse me, I'm sorry, as New Berlin Fairytale members are celebrating their victories, the other people, such as Stane, kagura, miliana, contemplate their own concerns. Yukino is enlisted as a sergeant under Arcadio's command.
Speaker 1:The fourth day of the competition comes to a start with a naval battle involving participants swimming in a giant water sphere and knocking other competitors out. Other participants fall out of the aquatic sphere. A five-minute battle between Lucy and Minerva ensues. Minerva quickly attacks Lucy. She managed to steal the keys of the Celestial Spirit Mage and, regardless of this, lucy refuses to surrender. So, after hearing Lucy's intentions, minerva stops from attacking up to the extent that the five-minute mark was reached. However, minerva resumes attacking Lucy until the Game of Fists decide to halt the match. The fairy tale members snap and Minerva dangles Lucy out of the sphere while the others rush to her aid. Okay, wow, they're like treating Lucy dirty in this fucking evil life.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they did. That's what I mean by like this. Every fight Lucy had, she really, uh, she took a beating and she just, man, she proved that she was a fairy tale. Like, she proved that she's a part of fairy tale. She took the beating and she kept coming back, like the next day or the next match. Right, she never gave up or never quit. And this took her out of the comparison of Sakura, because there was a lot of conversation back then that Lucy was probably just gonna turn into another Sakura. But she did not. She was. She held her own, or did her best to hold her own, but Minerva was a bitch like so put it simply did her best to hold her own, but Minerva was a bitch Like, so put it simply, and because of all that, between Lucy being hospitalized and Raven Tale no longer has been disqualified and everything, there's an odd number of teams now for the battle round.
Speaker 1:So the two Fairytale teams now have to combine and the new team will have the former team A's 35 points to start with, and with the new fairy tale team consisting of Natsu, gray, urza, gatio and Laxus, they are well-received to enter the battlefield. So the second part of the tournament begins with a tag battle between Pegasus, ichiya and Rabbid and Quattro Puppies, rocker and Bacchus. To everyone's shock, it's revealed that Rabbid is actually Nichia in disguise and after the exceed is punched by Bacchus, ichiya bulks up to defeat the Quattrouppey opponents. Warden blue pecks us with 10 points. Okay, it was a good fight.
Speaker 1:And then we get to the main meat and potatoes the fight with the Dryadslayers. So Mermaid Heels, kagura and Milliana and Lemmy of Skills, leona and Yukio provide off to the second tag battle of the games. The two teams struggle to earn the victory, only to have their battle ending in a draw. Due to the time limit For the third and final match of the day, the Pet Tenders look on and sign with Asnosu and Gaiju of Team Fairy Tail, and Sting and Rogue of Team Sabretooth enter the battlefield. As the battle commences, Sting and Rogue were about to take the initiative when they were suddenly attacked by Nasu and Gajio. The four mages then exchanged attacks. However, the audience was watching as the Fairy Tail Dragon Slayers overpowered the Sabreto tale dragon slayers overpowered the saber tooth dragon slayers, unable to keep themselves on par with their adversaries. Uh, sting activates white drive, while rogue powers up using shadow drive. So I'm like oh, okay, oh, I am so sorry man.
Speaker 2:Drinking soda.
Speaker 1:I'm getting gassy and shit. So the tag battle continues, sting and Rogue beginning to attack Natsu and Gadiel using their powers being decreased. Even heavy blows from Sabretooth Dragon Slayers, natsu and Dragneel manage to hold them off, forcing Sting and Rogue to activate Dragon Force on their own will. To the shock of the Fairytale audience, sting decides to banish the Fairytale Dragon Slayers alone, for he held a promise to his ex-Friend Lector many years ago. As the three mages fight, the tide turns in favor of Sting as he unleashes a powerful attack on Natsu and Dragneo, resulting in the collapse of the arena floor and, after a hand-to-hand combat underground.
Speaker 1:Sting was seemingly the victor of the match. However, the fairytale duo they stand up, they comment on Sting's strength, argues about his position while attacking, thereby causing Natsu to drag gadiel into a mining car and send it away. While gadiel is incapacitated due to motion sickness, nasu challenges the twin dragon slaves of unsavered to the lone and retribution to what sting did to on to them. So, uh, tag battle between the dragon slayers come to a close. Nasu overpowers both of sting and rogue, the, the saber tooth. Members watching this may, as yema sees and anger uh over the feet over the twin dragons, frightening their nearby spectators away. The rest of Fairy Tail celebrates in joy as the team receives 10 points, finally surpassing Team Sabretooth by a single point, by one point. And then, meanwhile, gadiel, back to his senses after being dragged by Natsu into a cart earlier, stumbles upon a cave full of dragon skeletons.
Speaker 1:During that night, the law manages to come according to the source of the Dark War, standing in disbelief at the identity of the stranger. Wasn't that Zeroth?
Speaker 2:Yeah, that was Zeroth, that was.
Speaker 1:Zeroth. Yeah, I kind of figured. It's much like it had to be Zero, because you'll find out In season 7 that there's a reason why Zero has such a Fascination with Natsu. Yeah, with that being said, mirror Jane, how do you feel about the rest of those episodes, like the whole thing with natsu and dragon slayers and all that?
Speaker 2:um, hands down. I gotta give natsu and gajill like they reminded me of the goku and vegeta right, like that tag team was absolutely hilarious, but they were. They were down for a fight, man. That fight was grimy and it was so good and how dare but can you blame natsu? Natsu was Gajil. This is no longer not your fight. I gotta take you out, my man.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Using motion sickness against him once again, and it was, honestly, it was a great way to end the games. It was this arc. You know any tournament arc, right you? You kind of wait for the ending to see if it's going to amount up or if it's just going to be the main character being super op. That was not the case with this one. This ending was the perfect ending to these fairytale team matches. Right, because we still have, like, the final round that's coming up. But this to end it this way, with the dragon slayers going toe to toe, it was great.
Speaker 1:It was such a good fight alright and um, any last things you want to say on seasons five and six before we close out this part? Alright, and any last Things you want to say on seasons Five and six before we close Out this part.
Speaker 2:No, no, nothing else I can say Other than Fairytale knows how to Write, women write.
Speaker 1:Powerful women.
Speaker 2:Okay, this is how you do it. You can be beautiful, you can be Voluptuous, but you can also be Powerful. And Fairytale wrote Urza right Wrote Vera Jane right Lucy. Fairytale wins when it comes to writing Women. That's all I have to say about 5 and 6. That's it.
Speaker 1:Alright, with that being said, that will conclude Our review on season 5 and 6 of fairytale. We will be focusing On season 7. With that being said, that will conclude our uh review on seasons five and six of fairy tale. Uh, we will be focusing on season seven. Next time we continue this um extreme review and then we're just gonna go ahead and combine seasons eight and nine, since you know, eight and nine combined is still less than season seven, because season 7 is like 90 episodes. So we're going to probably be a while before we get to season 7. But you know, stick with us, we will be back on this extreme review at a later time, but for now let's just go into intermission music.
