welcome back to the zone podcast for another nerdy news special. I'm chet bucket stream feel free to call me jb and joining me now is sebi phantom and talos gundam. We got a whole bunch of movie news, television news, gaming news, the music news. We got a little bit of everything going on. And, man, I'm looking at this list right now and like, okay, titles will say that it's usually like movies or television, but I claim it's usually gaming, that you all that, and we're gonna find out which one's worse. Right now, let's go ahead and start with movies. Ah, let's see. For starters, joker foleyo I hope I pronounced that correctly will be available digitally on October 29th. Well, it's available now, excuse me. And news that comes shortly after a 81% drop at the box office in this second week in the theater, so it's already out. And I'm like, oh, didn't we just talk about this Keeping it moving? And I'm like, oh, didn't we just talk about this Keeping it moving? Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will be in theaters December 5th. Marvel has delayed late, indefinitely, taking the movie out of its 2025 release slot and, in its place, predator Badlands is going to be releasing on November 7th. Predator badlands is going to be releasing on november 7th. Uh, the mcu is officially getting its spider-man 4, as tom harland has confirmed, that film will begin in summer 25. He's feeling really good about the script and it has been slated by sony for a july 24 2026 release date. Soul Leveling Reawakening is coming to theaters December 6. Alien Romulus is getting a sequel and it will continue the story of the first movie that's going to be coming out soon. I'm going to have some returning stars and returning directors. Well, director, excuse me, returning, uh, directors, or director, excuse me, the day the earth blew up, a looney tunes movie will release in theaters february 28, 2025.
Speaker 1:And after nearly 20 years, the wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they've been asking for a return to the scary movie franchise. I'm like, honestly, I feel like, out of all the spoof, spoof movies, um, scary movie was like the most successful, like, well, I want to say one, two and three was definitely goaded. Four, it was all right, boy, it was like half and half for me. And then scary movie five. I'm like, yeah, you know, after they pretty much got like a whole different. Then scary movie five. I'm like, yeah, you know, after they pretty much got like a whole different cast. At that point I'm like it was all right, but I just didn't pay too much attention to it, though we'll just revisit that one day and I'll see for myself if it holds up to this day.
Speaker 1:But anyways, according to a new report, ant-man was quantum manum had actually made a profit of eighty eight thousand two hundred thirty six dollars. The comprehensive report details the movie's cost and revenue, with the third Ant-Man industry ending up being profitable in large part due to a United Kingdom's tax credit. And finally, for movie news, mobile suit gundam sea freedom zero has been announced. The movie is set between sea destiny and sea freedom, bridging the timeline and offering new content on the con on the events that led up to sea freedom. That is it for movie news, starting with Sebi. How are you feeling about the movie news going on?
Speaker 3:So I think my most exciting bit of news when I first read the all the information, was that the Scary Movie franchise were getting another one after so long. Speaker 3:Yes, absolutely so. I'm glad the Waynes brothers are giving us what we asked for. Hopefully we'll possibly see you know the correlation with the white chicks possibly. I'm kind of hoping that ties in together. I'm not going to even talk about Joker. I shared last time how I felt about that movie. Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Matthew is definitely gonna be the an executive producer on that. I was able to read all about that, so hopefully we'll be able to see him coming back as well.
Speaker 1:Um, but that's about it for me, um and honestly, can I just say I just love matthew lute as an actor. Like he got so much range, like I still remember him being like one of the very first, like well, not very first, but, um, one of the bigger screen kings, as they say to where like from the very first screen movie, to where, yeah, if you know him from something like that or some of the lesser known horror films, like, yeah, he's a real stream king, like don't, don't get it twisted between him showing up on scooby-doo, you know the live action, even though he was great in that one and he also did a whole bunch of other stuff, like without a paddle, I definitely like that movie honestly. Yeah, he got some range, so I definitely want to see more of him. Talos, how are you feeling about movies?

Speaker 4:I mean, it was relatively, you know, I wasn't expecting maybe movies, but okay, I can see it. I'm waiting to see what this is going to be. Well, correction I was expecting a movie. I wasn't expecting it to be in theaters. Alien, once again, I was expecting a movie. I wasn't expecting it to be in theaters. Alien, once again, don't really care. The Day the Earth Blew Up, y'all kind of see where this is going a little bit. Why I'm saying because, relatively, this is stuff on the back end. We're in the latter part of the year. This is where you don't really get too much goodness, you get lackluster. And the only reason why I say it's lackluster because it's been proven time and time again, like you do get some good stuff. I'm not saying it's always just going to always be like, oh, everything is lackluster. No, but a lot of times that's when you're you're getting your what we call your fillers. Hey, just hold on to this for a little bit, until summertime or until the spring, where we can give you the good shit.
Speaker 1:Exactly that's what I was going to bring up. To where it's usually spring and summertime. To where that's a blockbusters, where, like the, the movies that we mainly anticipate is usually in that window basically. I mean, aside from you know examples like Sonic 3 coming out in December, but you know that's like an outlier yeah.
Speaker 4:so basically it's just that and it's like okay, hey, and we got this, we got that, we got a little bit of everything else in between. I'd rather you know we do what we deal with. So, hey, I'm not too worried about it. But as far as everything else goes, if I got to be even remotely somewhat excited about something Gundam Seed, freedom Zero I'm excited about that being the alma mater here.

Okay, all right, television news, let's get into it. And honestly, I thought you came at the perfect time for this one. My Hero Academia's final season is coming in 2025. One Piece will be taking an anime hiatus until April 2025. Invincible Season 3 has a release date now, february 6, april 2025. Sony and Amazon are apparently looking to hire a new writer groom and take the series to a new creative direction, and I'm like, oh, oh, shit. Speaking of streaming services, y'all remember when we were clowning about Chick-fil-A having a streaming service. So check this out out. It's officially been named sick filet play and it's set to launch on november 18th. This free service will feature a collection of original animated shows, scripted podcasts and cooking shows, and I'm like sitting here like that doesn't sound too bad, but also why. I mean I can like watch all that shit either, or I mean, yeah, there's like one space for all that, but then again, it's probably curated in a way to where I'm like I'm probably not hype towards it, but I probably watch cooking shows on Hulu or whatever. So I guess. Anyways, circling back to Prime Video Secret Level, the Amazon animated anthology series set to launch on Prime Video on December 10th has confirmed that its Warhammer 4K episode is a sequel to Space Marine 2. So, okay, okay, I mean I hear that Space Marine 2 has been doing pretty good, so that's good, that's good. Static Shock he will make an appearance in Teen Titans Go, 400th episode and, yes, bill Lamar will reprise the role for that. I don't know why you're doing this, bill, doing it for money.
Speaker 1:The Fallout TV show is almost ready to start filming. According to an interview ScreenRant had with a star of the show, leslie Uggams, who starred as the Overseer in Vault 33, revealed, we will start filming in November. Real excited about it. Cool, cool, cool. The Legend of Vox Machina has been renewed for season 4. Obviously, very Odd Pairs. A new show with the black kid as the main character will officially premiere on Netflix in the US on November 14th.
Speaker 1:Agatha All Alone Episode 7 racked up 4.2 million views globally after only one day of streaming, which is up 35% from the premiere episode Currently has a 9.2 rating on IMDb, making it the second highest rated episode in MCU TV. And honestly, I already did the review on Ag, on x all along, and I'll tell you myself episode 7 was actually like the best episode out of all of them. Why? Because the main thing was it was told in a non-linear way, because the focus was on a character who perceives time in a non-linear way. So it was like clever in a way. I'm like see Marvel, like y'all can actually do clever writing if you're actually trying, but for some reason, between phase four and a little bit of phase five like, it kind of feels like y'all barely trying. But after all along I'm going to be honest with with y'all it's not even that bad, not gas, but not bad.
Speaker 1:Moving on, rick and morty has officially been greenlit for seasons 11 and 12 at adult swim, with season 8 set to premiere sometime in 2025. Oh shit, I was really glad about this one science gay reboot announced for 2025 with updated graphics and additional story content, and I was like you know what I was thinking about Science Gate not too long ago, like real recently, and I was like, oh shit, they're getting a reboot. Okay, cool, cool, cool. I feel like I manifested that Fire Force 3rd and Final Anime season is now in production. Part one will begin in april 2025, while part two will be again in january 2026, and I see we're back to that whole invincible attack on titan, bullshit. And finally, megan d stallion is working on her own original anime series. Okay, meg, okay, let see, let's see it. That is it for television news. I'm going to go ahead and start it with Tuck. Speaker 3:Um. So I think the most biggest thing For me on this list would be the Legend of Vox Machina being renewed for season 4. As someone who Live roleplays, the whole larping stuff, I mean the biggest news that I've gotten in almost a year um other than that topic wise, and as someone who reads the manga my hero I know quite a bit already what's going to happen in the final season. I won't spoil it, obviously, but excited to see that come to TV. Other than that Chick-fil-A streaming service. Why Question mark? Question mark, question mark. That's about it for me.

Once again, I go back to my example I gave you. My hero has just said it could be up there. It's not there. Everybody that has read Knows that, no matter how much they animate this, the animation is going to be great, but no matter how much they animate this, this is not going to be what we consider Voted god tier status. It's going to be something that's replay value.

Where, in the sense of Naruto, this okay, whereas I have to say the reverse about Naruto, that Naruto, as far as animation goes, naruto not even really even counting Shippuden or Boruto Naruto itself has better replay value than my Hero when it comes to anime, whereas Manga wise, my Hero has better Read value Than Naruto, and that's Saying something.

Speaker 4:That's being whole hearted. That's saying something Like I will read my Hero before going back to re-watch my Hero. My Hero has good points, has good spots, but see, I'm going to skip around just to get to those good fights. I'm not going to re-watch the whole thing. Versus even with Naruto in the filler, I'll re-watch all of Naruto.
Speaker 2:I agree, yeah, because I do that. I skip around to the fights and then with Naruto, I'll just sit and watch. If it's on, I'll just watch it.
Speaker 1:And it really depends on what arc Naruto is on, like it could be like the Sasuke retrieval arc, or are we talking about the tuning exam arc? Like where are we talking about in this timeline?

Speaker 3:First off, rip. Second of all, I think the only thing that really has me Pretty cool about it is Alex Hirsch making more Gravity Falls Books. Each book so far that he's came out this year has a little Something secret in it. So I think it was August he had put in the first edition, so there was a um Barnes and Noble secret edition as well. So we made like two different copies worth. But in the original signed version there was actually a website you could have gone to and it was like Bill's website. It was really cool and you could solve different puzzles and such. So I'm kind of excited to see what else he begins and see if he continues to update that website to give him more and immerse, like look into it, and possibly I don't know if this is like an indicator that something's coming we could possibly get you know another, a new gravity falls, but who knows?

Speaker 3:So I do for all of my nerdy ao3 readers. Um, I just recently got this updated on my twitter or x, whatever you want to call it. Um. So in the last couple of months, um ao3 was experiencing um security breaches and this has happened since like june. So we've had multiple blackouts and this is how I'm able to like write stories and such like that. But as of october 10th, they received their last and final um attack by hackers and, like a bunch of different history got leaked and everything. But they stated that they have started a new team called SysAdmins and they had put an in-depth lock on all of their I was going to say policies I'm not a lawyer An in-depth look at all the recent server issues that they've been having um all across the the globe, and, of course, you can always check it out on their x. But they stated that with this new system, they're going to be able to on their that's not so weird I hate it.
Speaker 1:I normally just say twitter, but you know yeah, see, that's why, like you know, you just might as well call it Twitter, like that just sounds so weird, like on their ex account On their ex account. So their ex-boyfriend, ex-girlfriend, like that sounds so vague.
Speaker 3:Exactly I feel that, but they're going to be able to catch it a lot quicker so that we're not experiencing blackouts. Because a lot of people had to go and touch grass a couple months ago.
