Hey, welcome back to the zone podcast, the show where we like to talk about card games and playing them with extra salt. I'm Jeff Black Extreme and feel free to call me JB if you wish, and joining me today is Sight to the Smash and a new voice. Whisper the Ruler.
Speaker 1:We are going to talk about Magic the Gathering once again, but this time we're going to talk about the Dustmorph, and let's go ahead and zone in on that. Gentlemen, I'm going to be real. When I saw the spoilers I was thinking okay, it's going to be kind of scary, but I don't know how scary. But then when they started releasing more of the spoilers, bro, there are some cards where I need to add these in as many decks as I have I have 13 right now, but I'm like, fuck Like between Valbagoth, the Mind, skinner, marvin, bro, listen, goddamn, like Damone Winter, kaido. There's a lot of good cards that came out, but I'm not going to take up too much of your time. Let's start with the new guy, wisp. First of all, welcome to the Dawn Podcast.
Speaker 3:How you been, hey, hey, how's it going. You know what's funny about what you say about the pre-cons I hadn't gotten so much information on the pre-cons but I have been following the story for Duskborn and I'm really really like as a person. One of my favorite sets was from like the old Kamigawa sets, and I'm glad that they actually went back and actually continued like and actually still continue the story of the Wanderer and they're still actually going back and forth.
Speaker 2:That was your food.
Speaker 3:You put your hand in it, but uh, yeah, it's actually out for a bit from the story and deciding to bring her back was actually pretty cool and like old characters too, because, yes, she was a really interesting character, especially since, uh, since, march of the machines, my, and it especially like the way that, the way that her sparks work, where she can just randomly just go into a, just go into a completely different plane I didn't know that that's how her spark worked.
Speaker 1:I'm not into the lore that much and I'm.
Speaker 2:I actually got into the warhammer story before I actually got to the mtg story. I'm dying to read the mtg story now it's.
Speaker 3:You know, the the mt, the mtg stories are actually really really good.
Speaker 1:Like the lore is very extensive the funny thing is, like my main, uh, commander wing race, like I was like so curious about him because you know black panther fan like obvious. So, uh, I was so curious about him because you know Black Panther fan, like obvious, so I was so curious about him, so I read into his lore. I'm like, oh my God. And then the more you read about some planeswalkers, the more you learn more about Nicol Bolas, ellis Norn, a whole bunch of these legendary names, to a point where, oh man, there's been like wars and incursions and all of that. It's like the lore is very extensive. I've been in and out but like bro, like we gotta do an episode where we just talk about nothing but the lore, just to kind of break it down.
Speaker 3:For even in dusk morn right now, niv-mizzet is pretty much running, igonjo right now my oh, shit, really yeah yeah, I'm thinking that I haven't seen this, but I don't know if I don't know if Niv-Mizzet has actually had a spark unlocked yet. So maybe we I'm pretty sure we'll get a new Commander print for Niv-Mizzet, but I was really thinking we were going to get a Planeswalker version of him.
Speaker 2:Though as good of a creature he is, he is such an insane. You know the blue, the blue-red one.
Speaker 3:That Drakkon Genius.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that same. And it's crazy when you start doing these crazy fucking combos with this and you just keep repeating red blue over and, over and over and over and over.
Speaker 1:Yeah, search your own cards and deal damage like that's it, like that's the ping for one, ping for three, ping for seven oh shit, uh, tattooed enigma like I don't know if he's going to be joining us or not, but he was sharing leaks in the group chat where they're showing us a little bit about the Marvel set that's coming out next year, to where you might see Wolverine, iron man, black Panther. See, I knew there was going to be a Black Panther, but I didn't know it was going to be green, white, no, Dude, I just paid off my credit card man. Captain America yeah.
Speaker 3:I'm guessing Captain America is going to be, of course, white.
Speaker 1:He's like red, white and blue. Really yeah what.
Speaker 2:It went full America up in this bitch. I mean, unless he's three mana.
Speaker 3:he's not even going to be worth playing Wait hold on.
Speaker 1:Let me see.
Speaker 3:If they're going to have a Captain America, especially as a commander, he's got to at least be three mana, that's it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he's a two drop.
Speaker 3:He is a two drop.
Speaker 2:Okay, good, fucking stupid. That's going to be something crazy when it comes out, I'm sure.
Speaker 3:Something tells me these are going to feel like, almost like not like the Transformers ones, but maybe more like the Street Fighter release.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's going to gonna be cool, but ultimately these uh, like these commanders are probably gonna get replaced by just better legendaries yeah, it's like I'm reading the captain america one right now and I swear we're not trying to derail from dustborn too much, but let me read real quick. So he's a 4-4. He has a On-theme effect where His first ability throw he unattach an equipment From Captain America Deals damage equal to the equipment Mana value, decided as you choose them all, up to one, two or three Targets. And the second Ability, catch, at the beginning of combat on your turn, attach up to one target equipment you control to Captain America. In other words, it's like catch and release.
Speaker 1:With the shields. You can deal damage based on what equipment you have equipped to it. Say, say, for instance, that one weapon from the Assassin's Creed uh, the Assassin's Creed set where it's like this high mana value, but once you equip it you get like 9-9 on your creature and essentially you're just dealing 9 damage to up to 3 targets. So okay, yeah, that's kind of fun, but, like you said, creature, and essentially you're just dealing nine damage to up to three targets.
Speaker 1:So okay, yeah, that's kind of fun, but like you said, it's gonna get replaced soon because, like it's just fun for a season, well it seems like there are.
Speaker 3:There are a couple of. There looks like there are a couple of older artifacts that actually seem exactly like that. Like shuriken was was basically like that. You can just detach and do, just detach and deal one damage. Of course you got to pay to put it back on there. But if you have like Leona and Shikari or something like that, you can attach for free and with Flash.
Speaker 1:Oh, man, that reminds me of how I want to build, well, rebuild a deck that I already have, I think, with either Estrid or just a new Simic deck, and I want to combine the new Zemone, like the one where you have to use prime numbers with your lands. I want to use that with Naidoo, with the Shuko, so that way you just go crazy with the.
Speaker 2:Or just lands, lands, lands, lands, lands lands.
Speaker 1:Fucking big ass creature.
Speaker 2:Lands, lands, lands, lands, lands, lands, lands, fucking big ass creature. Lands, lands, lands. Yeah, crazy, continue to buff, continue to buff equipment. It's over. Yeah, actually, um, I had a question on the on that a captain america is is those that throwing catch ability? Is that pay it and not tap, or pay it and just leave it at that?
Speaker 1:it's you pay to throw, but the catch is more like a trigger ability. It's at the beginning of combat, so you gotta use the throw ability during your main phase and then, as soon as combat begins, then you just get it back Colossus.
Speaker 2:Hammer Fucking Colossus Hammer.
Speaker 3:Yeah, colossus Hammer, that'd be stupid by itself.
Speaker 2:Dude. It's already fucking stupid in the film the swords, the fucking toss them.
Speaker 1:And remember it says up to three targets. It doesn't say creatures, it can be anything.
Speaker 3:Oh dude. That's really stupid. Life Link on top of that is over with.
Speaker 2:Oh, wait, wait, wait, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. So we're talking, we can use these red, white and blue. So we could probably use some ship like the Monreiki Gusari, yeah, as get Plus one, plus two and has have destroyed hard equipment and you can use Nettle cyst. You can fucking use, you can use nettle cyst.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and with the sword of the heart and home.
Speaker 2:You can use all the fucking. I have the sword of the heart and home dude like what you can use all the fucking swords yeah, sword of heart and home, would be crazy oh my god, sword of the animus, puke-o yeah, that's just mana, mana, mana, mana, mana, mana, mana, mana mana. Oh, that's so stupid, disability's so stupid. Oh my God, whose idea was this?
Speaker 1:Hold on, I'm going to tell Chris, just for that. I'm like Captain America Cap goes crazy.
Speaker 2:Just infinite, just infinite mana. At one point you can even be colorless and just throw that shit in there. Just keep summoning equipments over and over. He casts. Wow, this would be insane. The Excalibur would be insane on that deck so what is that?
Speaker 3:is it world ender? Say what the world ender equipment. It's like it's a sword. Like it's a sword, but when you strike it it's a. It's a board wipe on attack.
Speaker 2:Yes, exactly yeah, which is which is insane. Anyways, also going back on what we were talking about from dustborn um, you mentioned that we were also getting like we had kaido in this, uh, in this new set. Uh, what's that about?
Speaker 1:uh, kaido, let me pull him up again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the bane of nightmares oh yeah, I got him all right. So you guys, ninjutsu one um blue and black. He's uh for a drop well with you know, blue, black and two of any color During your turn, as long as Kaido has one or more loyalty counters on him. He is a three-four ninja creature with hex proof. His plus one is you get an emblem with ninjas, you control, get one-one, you keep popping that one-one. Ninja says keep getting buffed per turn. His zero ability you surveil 2, then draw a card for each opponent who lost life this turn and his negative 2, and keep in mind he starts off at 4. His negative 2 is tap target creature. Put 2 stun counters on it.
Speaker 2:You already have Ninjas that come in for 2 and that are already unblockable. So already at three you can just fucking ninja to that shit. He comes in ninja's buffed.
Speaker 3:I think even best you could even pair that with Bella the Nightclad, where anytime a creature leaves the battlefield, each opponent loses one life. Oh, that would be insane, Especially with ninjutsu.
Speaker 2:it's all Ninjutsu in and of itself was a really cool ability to add to the game I'm surprised that it hasn't been used as much.
Speaker 3:Even Bushido was actually kind of a it is to add to the game. I'm surprised that it hasn't been used as much. Even Bushido was actually kind of a cool mechanic to have.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a damn shame.
Speaker 2:It is a damn shame. It is Because I get my ass kicked by ninja decks sometimes and I'm not going to lie I get salty about it Because who the fuck are you to bring in? You bring in a goddamn ninja onto this battlefield and like mill me at the same time, ping me straight and then destroy everything.
Speaker 3:I fucking have right and even depending on which, uh, which ninjas you have. That's like uh, what is that? Ink eyes? Yeah guys, uh, yeah guys, you're bringing stuff You're reanimating from your opponent. There you go, there we go. You almost finished this one. You like sweet potato?
Speaker 2:Adorable. Well, you know, actually I'm pretty excited to mention that we do have a uh, a pretty cool destruction cards in this set and the cards to bring back things that don't belong to you, but you're gonna fucking use them anyways. Uh, come back wrong I don't know if you've actually heard this card. But for the fans who haven't destroy, destroy, target Creature. If a creature card is put into the graveyard this way, return it to the battlefield under your control. Sacrifice it at the beginning of your next end step. Ooh, I want this, yeah.
Speaker 1:I have a zombie deck. I love this. Hold on, hold on. Y'all wanna hear some scary shit Like okay, here's some really scary shit. That like it was one of the first few cards that got spoiled, where I'm like, hey, if y'all play these cards at the games, I am focusing you For real. Now, the first one y'all heard of Doomsday Cruciator right. So six black flying six, six when Doomsday Cruciatorator enters. If it was cast, each player exiles all but the bottom six cards of their library face down and at the beginning of your upkeep you draw a card.
Speaker 1:Now that's doomsday scruciator. The second one is Screaming Nemesis. It's a three drop One red, two of any color, Three, three with haste. Whenever Screaming Nemesis is dealt damage, it deals that much damage to any other target If a player is dealt damage this way they can't gain life.
Speaker 2:For the rest of the game, gain life. We don't gain life in this game. I'm gaining life in this game. You're losing it.
Speaker 1:Oh, speaking of gaining and losing, let's talk about the big bad in Duck's Mourn Galbagoth Terror Eater. A nine drop, six of any color, three black I'm coming back, puppy. He's a flying lifelink with nine nine. He has Ward where the opponent has to sacrifice three non-land permanents to target him. Otherwise he gets countered to target him, otherwise he gets countered. If a card you didn't control will be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead and during your turn you may play those cards exiled. And if you cast a spell this way, you pay life equal to the mana value, rather than I mean instead of the mana cost.
Speaker 1:No, you pay life instead of the mana cost, right? So there was another card where hold on. I'm going to look it up, but there was a card where it would be perfect for this. It's the one where, if you pay, if you don't pay a discount on cost, you deal damage to each opponent based on the discount. So, in other words, I'm gonna try to find. I know it's a mono black card, but I need to find it real quick. Uh, I think I got it. I'm in the black cards now. Uh, hook Massacre 2 is good, by the way. I'm going to talk about that.
Speaker 3:I've been hearing so much about Meat Hook Massacre for the last two or three days. Yeah, first of all, that is an incredible name for a card. By the way, if anybody wanted to start a metal band, I would call it Meat Hook Massacre in a heartbeat.
Speaker 2:I would listen to that Hook Massacre in a heartbeat. I would listen to that. That sounds pretty cool. I mean, I listen to Shadow of Intent, but I would fucking listen to Meat Hook Massacre.
Speaker 3:That sounds like Doom Metal almost.
Speaker 2:It's like you know, there's this bull rose carved from this set that I want to talk about Because I think it's pretty fucking stupid. Already, boros is such a fucked up card mana for red and white. It's such a fucked deck to fight against most of the time. And this Jlly balloon man, it has haste, so already fuck you. Pay one and tap Create a token. That's fucked. That's a copy of another target creature you already control, except it's a 1-1 red balloon creature in addition to its other colors and types. And fuck you, it has flying at haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.
Speaker 3:Dude, that's. Blink triggers all day, blink, fuck triggers all day.
Speaker 2:Let me have anointed procession because fuck everybody. And then let's triple that and let's use Ogre, and then if you want to tell everybody else to go, fuck themselves, you have a Modrac on the battlefield. Make a fuck on a token, swing that.
Speaker 1:Okay, I found the card I was talking about. It's in one of the commander cards. It's the one with the new Aminato, the miracle deck. It's called Ancient Cell Respond. It's a three drop, one of any color, two, black, three, three. Each spell you cast that's a demon, horror or nightmare costs one less To cast. And whenever you cast A spell, if nightmare, it costs one less to cast. And whenever you cast a spell, if the amount of mana spent to cast it was less than its mana value, target opponent lose life equal to the difference. Now take that.
Speaker 2:That's fucked.
Speaker 1:Hold on hold on Wait a minute, take that, and now take you, take that right and add Masked nexus in there, all your all your creatures are either a demon, a whore or a nightmare.
Speaker 1:So you're always on casting cards at a discount to where, hey, if you can catch it for free, that means you can get a high level like uh, blood letter outcome clock. Know the one where if you deal damage to your opponent, double the damage. If you can cast that for free, you just dealt damage to them based on its minimum value and then you dealt double damage just because it's on the field.
Speaker 2:Yikes, I can't, I wouldn't want to fight that shit. You know I can't deal with, wouldn't want to fight that shit. You know I can't build two cars out on the battlefield. You know what? Yeah, I'm sorry, that's my bad. I thought my bad. I thought I thought you know what turned out to be a mistake.
Speaker 1:What? Well, it's not crazier, but I think it's interesting. Marvin the mimic See, he has all activated abilities of creatures you control that don't have the same name as him. So that's perfect for a commander, because all creatures are like different names. So if you have Marvin on the field, it has all the activated abilities of all your creatures. Now, hold on. I have Sarkon, the hold on. I have Sarkondamastilus, and I have him in my Super Friends deck where he has like 10 planeswalkers.
Speaker 1:I can make all my planeswalkers into creatures during my turn. If I have Marvell on the field, all those loyalty abilities, he can activate.
Speaker 3:Oh man, that's. That's fucking crazy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like I needed to fight against a Super Friends deck that catches me off guard. Hey, by the way, the 7-0.
Speaker 1:Oh no, with my deck, you're not gonna sneak me. You're not gonna sneak me. I got something for all you blue players too, like you know a Deflecting squad and other cards when I can just change the target Of your counter spell. To where I can just name my counter you know shit like that to where I can just Render counter spells useless.
Speaker 2:I have a question about that. So if you use your planeswalkers as creatures and they dealt combat damage, it's not going to regenerate at the end of the turn. They're going to lose the loyalty counters, aren't they?
Speaker 3:Their power and toughness should be equal to their loyalty counters, right I?
Speaker 2:don't know, they'll be like 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, except they're creatures, in all technicality, they are going to regenerate at the end. 7, except they're creatures, in all technicality they do. They are going to regenerate at the end of the turn if they're not dead at excess damage or exact damage. Is that how it goes?
Speaker 1:Yeah, you could say that, but let's just say that I'll have counter measures to where I'm going to make my creatures either unblockable or check this out. My favorite combination right now well, not my number one favorite, but it's like one of my nastiest combinations. I'm going to pay two mana.
Speaker 1:Here's the thing. Here's my combo Bend the Fangbearer and massacre girl known killer, now with fin the fang bearer. If all my creatures have death touch, they deal poison damage um poison counters. And, believe me, I have cards where I can give all my creatures death touch With Massacre Girl, known Killer. Creatures I control have wither, which means if you block my creatures, it's going to be negative, yeah, negative. You can try to block my creatures, but it will be ill-advised, so you're just going to have to let it happen.
Speaker 3:I think one thing that could even be crazier to even add to that combo would be dothi's embrace old, old school black enchantment. Pay to pay to black.
Speaker 1:Give your creature shadow I didn't hear like what shadow I never heard that one shadow is.
Speaker 3:Shadow is. It's an old, it's an older mechanic from uh like a little bit post-Icing, but only creatures with shadow can block creatures with shadow. This is the. I think shadow was around at the same time that banding started coming out. Sounds like horsemanship, but with, yeah, like horsemanship, or flanking Around that same era. But yeah, let me make sure that I actually am quoting that correctly. So I guess that would be like the horsemanship in blue would be black right. Yeah, dothi's Embrace, we're pulling up TCG real quick.
Speaker 1:Yeah, dothi Embraceace we're pulling up TCG real quick.
Speaker 3:Yeah, dothi, embrace, it's from Tempest. Yeah, two black target creature gains shadow until EOT and this creature can be blocked, or be blocked only by creatures with shadow. Three drop black enchantment.
Speaker 1:Oh, you need to fly that to my DM, just so I don't forget.
Speaker 2:That's pretty cool. Yeah, that's pretty fucked. I like that.
Speaker 3:That with Wither would be crazy. And then for any of those Simic people out there, I would happen to be one of those. Morita the Frost it's a five drop changeling. It's a two colorless green and two blue, but when it enters the battlefield it enters as a copy of target, permanent, except it's legendary, and a snow permanent as well. And if it's a creature it gets an additional plus one plus one. Oh, that's so cool.
Speaker 2:Yeah, oh yeah. Simic is already like a really, really fucked up type of color set. I have Emodi in a Simic deck and a ton of creatures that cost for a lot of mana or spells, just like River's Rebuke. I like that color set. It's fucking crazy. You never have a chance to breathe with them.
Speaker 1:It's like full counter mana, mana, mana something else for, like the simic players or people who, um, believe in lands matters, uh, one card that I do like is hedge shredder. It's a four drop um to any color on two green. It's a vehicle with five, five crew, one, uh, whenever head shredder attacks, you may mill two cards, but whenever one or more land cards are putting to your graveyard from your library, you put them in the battlefield tap. So, in other words, let's say, prince, you accidentally know some land cards that you could have used, you know, to beef up your, uh, mana pool. It's like oh well, you know, you just put them on battlefield. No problem.
Speaker 1:See, that reminds me of um, almost like I already have cards like groundskeeper and living twister to where I can just recycle all my lands. To, you know like crucible worlds where, essentially, you can always recycle your lands out, to where uh lands and life just become one resource that can be uh reusable. In fact, I'm going to share with you one of my all-time big nominations to uh you gotta attach a staff of domination to bigger on the inside. Well, reverse that. Uh you gotta Bigger on the inside To a staff of domination. To where you can have Infinite mana, infinite card draw, you can tap All your opponent's creatures, you can untap All your creatures and infinite life. And also With bigger on the inside, because you get Cascade on your Next spell you cast, you get infinite cascade Off that too, oh my god, it may as well just be an Eldrazi.
Speaker 3:It's red green.
Speaker 1:It's red green, believe it or not.
Speaker 2:That is fucking crazy.
Speaker 3:See like. With all of that, it may as well have Eliminator and Reanimate of some kind. It may as well be an Eldrazi. For all of these abilities it has.
Speaker 1:It would be yeah, no, but that's why I got shit like my Turgrit combo engines where, essentially, every time I make y'all sacrifice, like say, for instance, I use Choice of Damnation Ooh, I fucking love Choice of Damnation. Check this out. When I use Choice of damnation, I make you choose a number and then, whatever number you choose, either you pay that much life or you sacrifice all but that many permits. So, in other words, if anybody thinks they're gonna be cute and say zero, then all right, bet, I want you to sacrifice all but zero permanent. That means I want you to sacrifice all but zero permanent. That means I want you to sacrifice everything you got to get what you want, and then you sacrifice all those permanent.
Speaker 1:I get to grab them with Turgrit.
Speaker 3:Whack.
Speaker 2:Jokes on you, buddy. I don't even know how to fucking count. I already win.
Speaker 3:I don't know what to do Other than is there. Ah crap, I'm just like no fucking board wipe, like I don't know what else to do besides flip a table.
Speaker 1:I'm gonna no, no here's the thing board wipes are one of the hardest things I can counter. But here's the thing I realized that instead of trying to counter the board wipe, I'm gonna prevent you from doing it in the first place by having Miojin of Nightreach to where I have an infinite token well, not token counter generate, you know like proliferation to where I can pop off his secondary ability anytime I want to, but essentially, before you even cast that spell, I'm going to make all y'all discard your whole hand. This is not fair. No, no, no. Look at me. I was that one guy who said, look, I just want a half one, I just want to be left the fuck alone. But no, they always focused on me. So no, I got to get nasty on y'all. So here I am.
Speaker 3:Mr Nasty Time focused on me. So, no, I gotta get nasty on y'all. So here I am, mr nasty time. This is, this is what happens, because I have a uh, I have a cast eyes of the glade, uh, commander deck and that combo is my main combos. From that is just is to use the mana, is use the uh, not only the manifest trigger, but the more but morph triggers to just play creatures for free, because I'll use what is that? What is the freaking name of that, that artifact? It's got Uriel on it, but it's essentially when you play a face-down creature.
Speaker 3:Yeah, when you play a creature face-down, you can manifest from the top of your deck straight up Right, and, of course, when you attack with your face-down creatures, you can flip them with tap ability. Is this from the new set? No, with house. Uh, tap ability not from, not from dusk more, and I think he's from two, either two or three sets ago. Wow, is really an underrated commander, for real, because, like, if you use him with illusionist bracers, then you can just use the tap ability twice. You know what I'm saying, especially with, like, you still have the benefit of morph. What is that? Morph, not investigate Morph, what is that Morph, not investigate, but there's like three different mechanics that are basically Morph, that's along with Manifest. So it's like Manifest, morph and Disguise. That's what it is. So you have the benefit of using all three of those mechanics and when you use the Manifest, at least when you use the Manifest your dudes get Ward 2.
Speaker 1:I was going to mention that if you were to allow Red in that deck, I would have said get Illusionist Bracers, Ring of Bright Earth and Battle Mage Bracers, so that way you can trigger that ability three times.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3:Is there a Damn you know what Almost makes me want to literally just like grab the deck because it's freaking in my room right now, because, like, because I keep forgetting what the you know what I'm gonna, I gotta grab it you go grab it and actually I wanted to talk about a uh, the new, the new type of system that was added rooms I.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you have got a chance to see what these rooms are like. They're like mini enchantments, but with two sides. Wait, hold on.
Speaker 1:I think I've seen them Hold on.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they're enchantments. There's one that's called Dahl oh rooms.
Speaker 1:I thought you said rooms, but okay, I see them now, I'm looking at them now. Myth said runes, but uh, okay, I see it now.
Speaker 2:I'm looking it up now, Not the like mythological runes, but like R-O-O-M and uh, I remember which one it was.
Speaker 1:That one. I'm looking for that uh, oh no, no, it wasn't black, it was, uh, it was green. It was Walk-In, closet and Forgotten, cellar to where it's essentially a crucible of worlds. And also, if you unlock this door, you may cast bills from your graveyard this turn. And if a card would be put into your graveyard from anywhere, this turn, uh, you can exile this, uh dead.
Speaker 2:so I'll say like, okay, it's nice if you want, like a cheap crucible of worlds I think this is a pretty cool add-on that they decided to implement, because Porcelain Gallery looks pretty cool and Dollmaker Shop they have really cool art in this. I don't know, it's pretty fucked, but what I like about them now is that these new enchantments like like this white one I was talking about Domator Shop you're getting let's see, whenever one or more non-toy creatures you control attacks, you create another one and it's a white toy artifact creature Tokens right there. People are going to love that and both sets actually for the art are pretty cool, if you guys get a chance to look at them. And Dazzling Theater and Prop Room it's an enchantment slash room. Creature spells you cast have Convoke. Love it, I love it.
Speaker 1:Wait, what was that one again Is?
Speaker 3:it Creatures you, you cast, have convoke.
Speaker 2:Yeah, creatures you control have convoke and the other. There's a second part to that, which is the room part. It says untap each creature you control during each other player's untap step.
Speaker 3:Like Seedborn Muse basically.
Speaker 2:Seedborn Muse, but in white yeah.
Speaker 3:Or even like Prophet of Crufix, but fair.
Speaker 2:I have Prophet of Crufix. Like I'm shuffling my deck right now, actually because my man Diggs motivated me I was actually shuffling my deck and I have Prophet of Crufix in my deck. Omo, queen of Asuba.
Speaker 3:Oh lord, oh dude, yes yeah.
Speaker 2:I fucking love this deck so much. When I saw that Simic was coming out with Manifest again in this set, I was like oh, this is gonna get fucking crazy real fast.
Speaker 1:Hold on. Speaking of which, what about Natal? But I need to find her again. I need to read her ability. I know she had Miracle and shit, but damn, maybe I need to find her.
Speaker 2:I like that fucked up text. I like it.
Speaker 1:Hold on, let me look her up.
Speaker 3:Where is that daggone planeswalker that just allowed me to do shit for free?
Speaker 1:Okay, Okay, she is a four drop one white, blue and black, black. Excuse me, uh, damn it trying to pull. Okay, I got it. Uh, at the beginning of your upkeep, surveil two, and each enchantment card in your hand has miracle. Its miracle cost is equal to its mana cost reduced by four. So, once again, if you have that on ancient solo fawn and you all cast that, well, damn, um, it's only counts if it's creatures, well, doesn't count if it's all creatures on let me just check again.
Speaker 1:See, this is the funny thing about magic, where you just discover oh, it is Whenever you cast a spell. So yes, if you have ancient spell, respond, which is in the Minato deck here whenever you cast an enchantment. If you cast like a very high mana cost enchantment, you're dealing damage equal to the difference when you cast the enchantment for that. And if you're casting them for free, then well, that's cool.
Speaker 1:See, I would definitely get this Aminato commander deck. Yeah, oh shit, I got a strategy meeting with some of the other people, so, uh, y'all got anything y'all want to add on to dust more before we close out this episode the one, um, if, if anything, check out the lore uh of dusk morn.
Speaker 3:I think all of the all of the chapters, all of the chapters of the story for Dusk Mourn. They've already I think they've already been released on Magic the Gathering's YouTube, so I would definitely check those out if you want to check out the story they go through. I've only finished chapter one so far, but it looks like they they pay a lot of references to kamigawa and like kaido, and like kaido is in right in the beginning of the story and he's and he's doing some really cool stuff. He's actually, yeah, he's doing some really cool ninja stuff while he's out there. It's cool, it's cool, it's cool. And the wanderer is back as well.
Speaker 1:Um, he, uh, he oh I gotta mention one more the the Mind Skinner. He's a 3-drop blue, he can't be blocked, he's a 10-1. Remember a 3-drop blue with 10-1. So if a source you control would deal damage to an opponent, prevent that damage and each opponent mills that many cards.
Speaker 2:What.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:See that would go in a Niv-Mizzet deck along with Fling. Attack one way, fling the other way.
Speaker 2:Dude, that is. That's not okay Actually, and I realized that in this set a lot of reprints came out.
Speaker 1:Yeah. Like do we really need a reprint of Bersia.
Speaker 2:We do, actually we do. I saw that Mason Chantress is here. That's a nice comeback. Monologue Tax is pretty cool. Moon Bless Cleric. Yep, that's another one. Oh shit, mondu Spirit Dan dancer came out of the set. What the hell? Yo undo fucking spirit dancer. I need that card. That is stupid. If you guys don't know what it does, whatever detachment you control enters, make a copy of it, make a token of copy of it, and you can only do it once each turn. I have an enchantment deck that really looks to make copies of all the enchantments, so I'll have what's the name of this card that costs 5 mana, makes double the tokens and double the not doubling season, is it?
Speaker 2:it's doubling season, I'll go nuts on doubling season. Since it's white and green, I'll also put an ointment perception. I need this card actually. Yeah, that's actually great overlord of the mist force. What is this impending? But what the fuck is it?
Speaker 1:oh no like the overlord that I like is the overlord of haunt dealers to where, when they attack, to whatnot, you create a land token called everywhere and it counts as every basic land what?
Speaker 2:What is that? What's impending?
Speaker 1:Impending, for I think it's like I want to say it's kind of like manifesting. Hold on, let me look it up. I just looked at it.
Speaker 3:Bring it back here. Mommy's not feeling good.
Speaker 1:Come on, damn, I'm going to have to really scroll for it and, um, we have to go close this out we're gonna have to talk about this in a in a next one, all right, yeah, fair enough, all right, well, we're gonna go ahead and close this out.
Speaker 1:Gentlemen, I do thank you for joining me for this episode and I thank the dear listener for listening to us to the end. Remember that we're going to stay nerdy and that great things are coming. We're going to go ahead and zone out of here, so go ahead and have yourself a good morning, good afternoon and good evening.
Speaker 3:Take it easy take it easy, peace, we'll be right back. Outro Music.
